What if I want to use the sound from Beat Scholar, but I want to drag the midi onto the same track? Is there any way to stop it from playing the pattern inside the plugin, and only play the midi? The Stop and Play buttons within the plugin don't seem to do anything (unless that's a limitation of the trial or something). Edit: I realized a workaround is to delete the pattern within Beat Scholar itself so that it will only play the midi. Still, if there's a better way, that would be ideal. I also noticed the solo and mute buttons vanish when there are more than four lanes in the workspace. I assume it's because there's no longer room for them? Personally, I'd suggest building it so that those boxes can be pulled sideways or something to accommodate them. Losing those functions is a really big hindrance. Unless of course there's already a way to do that and I just don't know what it is.
Two questions.. what’s the best preset for a great sounding rock drum kit? Purchased, but I am not liking the samples I am hearing so far. I think it’s just a learning curve on dialing in the sounds, but everything so far has sounded artificial. Also, why wont the program expand to full screen?
Hey - While we do have some very nice acoustic samples (just browse through the kit preset folders labled "Acoustic Power" and Jazz for some examples) I can suggest you either use BS to trigger other samplers with a more "Rock" focused sample base or you can simply load your own samples into the drum pads. The plugin is fully resizable to any size you want via clicking and dragging the bottom right corner of the window. Hope this helps...Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to assist.

@modalics do the app allow to play with hands, I mean I just don’t feel comfortable using readymade beats, I rather try to play what the song needs in terms aesthetics. Would you please kindly do a very very short tutorial on that. I’m using iPad pro. Stay well, regards
Hi! On the iPad app both the sequencer screen and the sound screen have pads for finger drumming, which are also used to select drums for sound editing or placement on the sequencer area. You can quite easily combine ready-made patterns and your own live input if you want... or mute the finger pads and edit grooves while they are being looped. Both workflows are supported, if you have any more questions feel free to ask!
So basically all of your plug-ins separately mimic the functionality of built in FL studio piano roll and pattern editor at greater cost and lower functionality, right? 🤔🤔
It allows for far easier and more advanced beat customization than any DAW, you can assign different subdivisions for every beat and change measures in seconds, as well as place any drum on any lane, even place different drums per slice...You can learn more about Beat Scholar on our website or through the tutorials we have here. There's also a 7 day free trial if you want to get some first-hand experience. And of course if you have any questions we're here :)
I'm loving this plugin for many reasons.... and in version 1.08 it looks like you added Solo/Mute per sample sound... great..... BUT did you remove solo/mute per sequencer lane? .... not great!! Why not have both.... AWESOME! Please!
Hey! We never removed any features, at least not intentionally, haha. Depends on how many lanes you have, sometimes the solo/mute buttons aren't seen depends on your vertical zoom level. So you can always just zoom in vertically and get them back. :) (We are working on a fix for that so they're visible in all the zoom levels).
