One of my friends ran to the gas station to get more beer during the Undertaker-Lesnar match cause he said “Its an Undertaker match at wrestlemania. I already know who’s winning”.
Damn, I'm so jealous. When HBK kicked out of the first Tombstone I lost my shit so much that I screamed like a goat being screwed by a hot lead pipe. So much that my dad came to check me out. And when I told him what happened, he lost it too.
I had just got into wrestling during the end of the Batista vs King Booker feud. WM25 was my first live event and Taker vs HBK will always be my favorite match of all time.
CaptainScarBeard True the man has faced Edge Batista Hhh Hbk Randy Orton Cm punk all in the space of a decade they could of easily had him face Jericho at Wrestlemania at some point
I wish Undertaker had shared the ring with Daniel Bryan more. His best match is probably with HBK, but I'm partial to his matches with Edge and Batista
AnvilPro100 That was just such a great period for Taker Mania Matches. He was still wrestling full time, having so many great mania matches year after year with Batista, Edge, HBK, and Triple H and it was right at the peak of Edge and Batista’s careers. His feud with Edge was remarkably solid all the way to their Hell in a Cell Match. The fact that the belt was on the line against both Edge and Batista really helped elevate what was already a solid matchup without a belt.
AnvilPro100 Yeah Undertaker may have been Bryan's best opponent. Instead I believe that honour goes to William Regal :o Go back and watch any of those matches and you'll see!
lalanapalala1 Not really. Yes you can see how fast Undertaker even in his Prime (310 Pounds) was in that Match, but it was a bullshit finish Nathan Jones came in (Normal Match) and the Match goes on, the Streak would have ended there.
I never realized about Edge's win streak at Mania being 5-1 at the time. That's a GREAT point. If Edge had the 6-0 streak going into Mania against Taker, the Streak VS Streak angle would've been STELLAR.
Undertaker vs "the legend killer" randy Orton was and will always be my favorite, great story leading twards the Match, Orton countering the chokeslam, just a great match, getting chills just thinking about it, that's it I'm going to watch it
1. King kong Bundy - WM 11 - Excellent match from beginning to end. I cannot stress how beautifully executed this match is. It had everything from extreme showings of strength, high flying, all the way to superb technical wrestling. Absolutely flawless match. One of the greatest feuds of all time. 2. Big show & A train - WM 19- Not quite as good as the king kong bundy match, but don't be fooled. This match is very underrated, and is one of his finest showings. 3. Roman Reigns - WM 33 - If you didn't know any better, you'd think Undertaker was in his early 30's again when watching this match. I couldn't believe how young and refreshed he looked in this match. 4. Big Bossman - WM 15 - Very, very good match. It's an all time classic, no more words. 5. Giant Gonzales - WM 9 - Great entrance, and the match was pure entertainment. It had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. This may be his all time most underrated wrestlemania match. Props to Vince for making this feud.
I always preferred 26 Taker Vs Shawn than their WM25 match. I just loved the build up to it. From Michael's being eliminated at the rumble and losing his shit to heaven vs hell entrances. From a storytelling perspective it definitely has the edge and for me just edges 25. Love the list though
Undertaker vs Flair is such a fun match, so much emotion, Undertaker talking trash throughout, and JR and the King bantering at each other the whole time was entertaining and funny as hell. I also think Undertaker vs Edge is extremely underrated
I'd have WM27 over WM29, personally. The streak felt like it was more under threat against Triple H, and the Tombstone kickouts were both fantastic *and* new. I think the top 4's right otherwise though, and I'd have HIAC at 5 (the Triple H one, not the Bossman one. Obvs.)
His match against Triple H at Wrestlemania 28 inside Hell in a Cell with Shawn Michaels as the referee is personally my favorite and my favorite Undertaker Match of all time
I always enjoyed his match with Big Show and A-Train at 19. Theres something remarkable about the fact that each man is pushing 300 pounds, and yet Undertaker is literally dancing circles around the pair of them. Flying lariats, a chokcelsm into an armbar, its a personal favorite of mine.
I feel like people tend to forget about his wrestling ability, everyone always talks about the gimmick, respect and wrestlemania streak. It's a shame really because hes an excellent wrestler in his own right. GOAT in my opinion
I think the match against Kane at Wrestlemania 14 should have been higher up. It really laid the foundation for all Brothers of Destruction storylines over the years, as well as giving a worthy introduction of the character Kane. At that time, nobody, I repeat NOBODY, ever kicked out of a tombstone piledriver - and Kane did twice. Absolute madness
Undertaker vs. Big Boss Man at WrestleMania XV was the 5th Hell in a Cell match, not the 3rd. Undertaker vs. Mankind was the 3rd. Stone Cold and the Undertaker vs. Mankind and Kane on the 15 June, 1998 episode of Raw was the 2nd and Kane vs Mankind, also on Monday Night Raw, was the 4th.
When I was 13 or whatever when WM8 happened, I would rewind that match with him and Jake over and over and over and over. That was totally crazy at the time. How quickly it ended, him sitting up after the DDT, the Tombstone on the outside, Heenan being the totally resigned heel commentator who couldn't deny who insanely impressive Undertaker.
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for this list! I am the biggest Taker mark, fan, fanatic, historian, whatever I am usually called when speaking of this man, oh honey you hit this list absolutely ON THE FREAKING HEAD!!!! Every match listed here is in its place.
I remember watching the 25 match live at home. I’ll never forget that energy in my living room. I bet it was unforgettable live in the stadium. And I’m very glad y’all did the right thing and placed it #1. I would have never watched a cultaholic video again had it been less than top 2.
I actually liked the Giant Gonzalez match but I think my favorite is when he faced Jake "The Snake" Roberts at WrestleMania 8. It helps that Monsoon and Hennan did commentary.
there’s absolutely nothing to like about the giant gonzalez match, the latter has no in ring ability whatsoever. sounds you have a very old school taste in wrestling matches
@@JohnnyFWA maybe they are better in Wrestling but the Undertaker is, was and always will be the best for Business. I loved alllllllllll the battles. Besides giant Gonzales lol. But my favorites are the first match against hhh , Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and my favorite is against Batista. The lead up and the promo towards the deadman vs Batista was awesome
Wrestlemania 25 was my first ever Wrestlemania and I feel honored to have seen Taker vs HBK put on that epic performance. The entrance was cool too! HBK coming down from Heaven and Taker rising up from Hell.
I have Taker v HBK 2 as my best all time. That being said, I was at that Mania so I may be biased. Thing is tho, EVERYONE knew Shawn was retiring. EVERYONE knew he was going to lose. But I promise you, their performances were so unrivaled that I marked for every near fall. I completely suspended disbelief, and bought fully into the story they were telling.
I'm one of the people who would probably put the 'End of an Era' match at the top. The storytelling and whole theme of the match were just superb. It felt like it meant something, and it probably should have been Taker's last match, although I'm happy to see more of him. The Reigns match should be in the bottom 5. Nothing good about it, and it was just kinda depressing.
For me the two matches undertaker had with HBK at wrestlemania, are the godfather and the godfather part II of wrestling. One blew us away with just how perfect it was, and the other was just nearly ass good, but with bigger stakes. Personally my favorite match of all time is undertaker vs triple h at wrestlemania 27. Thank you for putting Punk vs Taker at 3rd. It was a simple yet fantastic match between babyface fighting for his fallen comrade and disgusting heel who will stoop to any level to pick up a win. They didn't overdo the finishers, they didn't do the crappy milking of spots forever like Triple H matches, it was elementary babyface vs heel brilliance. Simply wonderful. I know Punk has a lot of haters, but his mind for wrestling is immaculate.
All three of his Triple H matches are in my top 4 but the end of an era match stands out to me as the best. I love the storytelling and HBK's overacting helps the match instead of hindering it for me.
I definitely agree with the top 2. I would put the "end of an era" with triple h 3rd and then the cm punk 4th though. That match with Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 is still to me the greatest match of all time
not sure if this is true, but rumor has it that even Brock had to be convinced to be the one to end the streak, because no one wanted to lose to the undertaker; just out of respect.
What'd anyone expect? Undertaker is way too old to be putting on amazing matches anymore, no way in hell was he gonna do anything extraordinary at mania 33
Tom Tanaka It wasn't his fault. Reigns did everything he could to salvage the match. The Understaker just didn't seem to give a shit. I know he's old but damn. The match was fucked when he did his patented "sit straight up" and immediately back fell over. Maybe it was to show the "power" of Roman Reigns but there had to be another way to show it.

Taker having a competitive match with a midget is laughable
I genuinely thought Edge was going to go over and then BOOM HELLS GATE, so good
The match with Randy will always be underrated.
Nathan Eli Draper and his match with Ric Flair at Mania x8
Omphile Lesego agreed on that too
The most underrated match is Undertaker vs A-Train and The Big Show

Whatculture used to exact same title 5 days later...
Legit Boss yes its super diferent
I definitely agree with the top 2. I would put the "end of an era" with triple h 3rd and then the cm punk 4th though. That match with Michaels at Wrestlemania 25 is still to me the greatest match of all time
not sure if this is true, but rumor has it that even Brock had to be convinced to be the one to end the streak, because no one wanted to lose to the undertaker; just out of respect.
Heck undertakers been going so long I’m surprised we haven’t seen Cole (Adam)and taker yet!
That Reigns match was embarrassing. My buddy and I we're so pissed off we just walked out of the stadium before The Undertaker even took off his gear.
Yourna Mehere wasnt even a bad mtch taking into consideration undy's state of being.
Yes the match was horrible, Reigns couldn't carry the load.
Congratulations. Here's your obligatory trophy. 🏆
Love how the Wilhelm scream was used as Sid shat his pants 🤣
Better list
1: 25
2 : 26
3 : 28
4 : 29
5 : 27
6 : 24
7 : 23
27,28.29>>>> 26. Shawn Michael's second match wasn't as good as people say it was...
jericho vs taker the wm match we never got to see, sure had been in top 5 easily
I knew worst would be either against Roman Reigns or Giant Gonzalez
Should do a video on Shaun Michaels’ greatest Mania matches, he’s nicknamed Mr Wrestlemania for a reason
