Imo, TLC III on Smackdown May 24th 2001 was the best one, where Benoit and Jericho retain. From Matt Hardy moving out the way from Benoit’s diving headbutt, to the Christian chair shot to Jericho, the 3D to Edge from the top turnbuckle, to Benoit returning to the ring and grabbing the tag titles after taking a gruesome Con-chair-to by E&C to his injured ribs. Imo, it was the greatest Smackdown match I’ve ever watched. I swear. Felt like a PPV. It’s a shame that it was tarnished by that fateful summer of 2007. RIP Chris, Nancy and Daniel Benoit

It really makes me sad about Chris Benoit. Watching through old WCW and late 90s early 2000s wwf, man Benoit was really good. Sad about what happens, and its uncomfortable to hear the commentators say stuff like "He might just go ahead and kill his opponent."

The Sheilds first match at 2012 should not be number 2. That is insane! It is not even close to being in the same league as TLC 1, TLC 3 or TLC 4! Even Jeff Hardy vs CM Punk is better than that. The rivalry between The Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, and The Dudleys is, without any debate, doubt, or dispute, the greatest tag-team rival in WWE history, as well as one of the greatest and most influential in wrestling history, beyond just tag-team wrestling. It's one of the strongest rivalries in WWE history, full stop. It didn't just change the WWE tag-team division. It genuinely changed the entire landscape of professional wrestling. Very few feuds can say that, and I don't know if any tag-team feud can even come close to claiming that.
I still dont get the heat on putting the belt on Sheamus in 2015. Moreso the fact that the boys always highlight they put the belt on him IN 2015!? I mean it's not like Backlund or Hogans final title reigns in which they were waaaaay past their prime. Sheamus had been in the company for only 6 years and was coming off missing most of all of 2014. That fella had also been champ only a few years prior too. Quick example, Seth Rollins just passed 6 years on the main roster and I doubt anyone would be freaking out if Seth won a world title 3 years after his last one IN 2019!?!?! As a kid I was a die hard Hardy Boyz fan. I was 13 and they jumped off the most high shit. That said, I HATED Edge and Christian… Until… Edge nailed that flying spear at Wrestlemania X7. Even at 13 years old I recognized how tough you have to be to create a moment like that. From that moment on Edge had my begrudging teenage respect. As the Rated R Superstar he went on to be one of my favorite wrestlers to watch over the course of the next decade. God DAMN I miss that era of WWE.
One reason why WWE sucks now is because they make PPVs like TLC,Extreme Rules,HIAC,etc... with just one or two Match of their stipulation.They should make every Match at TLC for example a fewTLC, a few Tables,a few Ladder and a few Chair Matches.Then I would watch it
I don't get this Chris Benoit stuff, he was an actor portraying a character, the actor did a horrible thing, the character didn't. I understand why wwe the corporation doesn't mention him but why should the rest of us be ashamed of liking what Benoit the character did? Can't agree with the number one choice as for me Spike Ryno and Lita getting involved took away from the match most won't see it that way but I prefer the purity of the 3 teams going at each other themselves of the first encounter. As for the others not to take away from the work and effort and sacrifice made by those involved but tlc that didn't involve Edge and Christian Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boys is just not on the same level in terms of chemistry between those involved story and spectacle not that it's their fault just that the stars aligned for the tlc matches between those tag teams and it was a special moment in time and likely will never be matched.
This is to be expected. All the recent ones and shoved to the bottom and all the nostalgia ones are thrown to the top. I won't say that the newer ones are perfect, or even deserve the top 3 spots, but some of them, like Roman vs Sheamus, Styles vs Ambrose, and the Raw 2002 TLC should all be higher on the list. I'd even say Undertaker vs Edge should rank higher as well.
Why does WWE or even anyone differentiate a ladder match and a TLC match, it's the same exact match but a TLC match just lets you know that there are tables and chairs involved, despite the fact that they're legal in a regular ladder match. Most of the time, I can't even tell which match is a ladder match and which is a TLC match. It has the same objective.
Personally, I don't believe a TLC match should be done as a one on one. It should always be done with 3 teams or at least 4 singles or more . Especially with how the first TLC matches went down , the mystique of the match just isn't quite there when is one on one . They might as well call it a plain ladder match .

The rivalry between The Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, and The Dudleys is, without any debate, doubt, or dispute, the greatest tag-team rival in WWE history, as well as one of the greatest and most influential in wrestling history, beyond just tag-team wrestling.
It's one of the strongest rivalries in WWE history, full stop.
It didn't just change the WWE tag-team division. It genuinely changed the entire landscape of professional wrestling.
Very few feuds can say that, and I don't know if any tag-team feud can even come close to claiming that.
I still dont get the heat on putting the belt on Sheamus in 2015. Moreso the fact that the boys always highlight they put the belt on him IN 2015!? I mean it's not like Backlund or Hogans final title reigns in which they were waaaaay past their prime. Sheamus had been in the company for only 6 years and was coming off missing most of all of 2014. That fella had also been champ only a few years prior too. Quick example, Seth Rollins just passed 6 years on the main roster and I doubt anyone would be freaking out if Seth won a world title 3 years after his last one IN 2019!?!?!

As a kid I was a die hard Hardy Boyz fan. I was 13 and they jumped off the most high shit.
That said, I HATED Edge and Christian… Until… Edge nailed that flying spear at Wrestlemania X7. Even at 13 years old I recognized how tough you have to be to create a moment like that. From that moment on Edge had my begrudging teenage respect. As the Rated R Superstar he went on to be one of my favorite wrestlers to watch over the course of the next decade. God DAMN I miss that era of WWE.

One reason why WWE sucks now is because they make PPVs like TLC,Extreme Rules,HIAC,etc... with just one or two Match of their stipulation.They should make every Match at TLC for example a fewTLC,
a few Tables,a few Ladder and a few Chair Matches.Then I would watch it

I don't get this Chris Benoit stuff, he was an actor portraying a character, the actor did a horrible thing, the character didn't. I understand why wwe the corporation doesn't mention him but why should the rest of us be ashamed of liking what Benoit the character did? Because Kevin Spacey did some pedophilia I can't like Kizer Sosa or John Doe now?
Can't agree with the number one choice as for me Spike Ryno and Lita getting involved took away from the match most won't see it that way but I prefer the purity of the 3 teams going at each other themselves of the first encounter. As for the others not to take away from the work and effort and sacrifice made by those involved but tlc that didn't involve Edge and Christian Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boys is just not on the same level in terms of chemistry between those involved story and spectacle not that it's their fault just that the stars aligned for the tlc matches between those tag teams and it was a special moment in time and likely will never be matched.
This is to be expected. All the recent ones and shoved to the bottom and all the nostalgia ones are thrown to the top. I won't say that the newer ones are perfect, or even deserve the top 3 spots, but some of them, like Roman vs Sheamus, Styles vs Ambrose, and the Raw 2002 TLC should all be higher on the list. I'd even say Undertaker vs Edge should rank higher as well.
Why does WWE or even anyone differentiate a ladder match and a TLC match, it's the same exact match but a TLC match just lets you know that there are tables and chairs involved, despite the fact that they're legal in a regular ladder match. Most of the time, I can't even tell which match is a ladder match and which is a TLC match. It has the same objective.
Personally, I don't believe a TLC match should be done as a one on one. It should always be done with 3 teams or at least 4 singles or more . Especially with how the first TLC matches went down , the mystique of the match just isn't quite there when is one on one . They might as well call it a plain ladder match .
Holy fuck. That number one deserves to be there. I've lost count of how many times I have rewatched that WM 17 TLC. Edge spearing Jeff is one of the most deranged thing that any WWE superstar has ever done.
Great list but Undertaker v Edge has to be Top 5, maybe Top 3. It’s my personal favorite match of all time, it had one of the best narratives WWE ever produced, the spots were amazing, and it genuinely felt like the stakes were real
As good as that three way rivalry was. I thought it was better when the acolytes were involved. But I guess they didn't have a weapon gimmick to fit in.

No RVD vs Eddie Guerrero on Raw? Some of those spots in that match, like the sunset flip powerbomb from the ladder had never been seen before, then later copied for years to come.
Rollins vs Corbin shouldn’t be so high up on the list. Reigns vs Sheamus was much better. DX vs jerishow is massively overrated as well
