i remember watching this back in like 2015 and now every few months i rewatch it even though i dont have much interest in making one myself. a true classic.
I first watched this video back in second grade. Here I am about to start another year of high school, and I end up getting recommended this video all these years later.
That looks great! Id like to start making some 1/64 scale customs with decals. Im going to check that site out to see if I can find anything I like. My only complaint, and its not a big deal, when you strip the paint or when you prime, you should make sure all the yellow paint is gone. At the end when you flipped the truck you could still see quite a bit of yellow. Its not a big deal, but I get OCD on some things haha!
That's pretty awesome, can't believe you did a Harvick diecast that way though :p Seriously though, I appreciate it. I'm wanting to make a 1949 Jim Roper diecast.
A question about headlights that are decals: Did decals for new headlights come with the decal sheet? IS it possible to mask off the old headlights and keep them instead? I'm going to repaint a NASCAR body with a stock paint job, and wondering what I should do for headlights. Maybe just print them on thin paper and glue them on? Your ideas welcome.
Great tutorial! I might try making my own paint scheme on a car soon. Do you have any recommendations on how to print them? If you don't know how it's fine.

I will pay for a Caleb Holman truck right now! That's my driver! I know he had someone make some guys on the team some. I wonder if you built the ones like this that some of the pit crew had? I do want to buy a 75 truck just like that if your making more.. great video!
How much and when do you have time? I'd love to buy one. Your work is the best I've seen. I just started building customs but I'm building easier ones to start out. Trevor Bayne taco bell car is the one I'm starting with but I'd rather you do the 75 truck because I want perfection.
Hey, I really enjoyed watching this video. I want to get into making my own diecast as well. Is there a possiblity of making an instructional video on disessembling a 2008 nascar COT car? Thank you.
When using stripper put your diecast over cardboard or improvise something other than a sink . The stripper will dry and the leftovers can be put into the trash ✌
I'm doing my first custom how many coats of primer is best and does it matter the color of the primer(white or black)? And how many coats of paint ? the car is all flat black. Thanks.
Taking apart gen 6’s is a little complicated as you might bend the steering mechanism in removing the body but with a little work it is basically the same as this
i remember watching this back in like 2015 and now every few months i rewatch it even though i dont have much interest in making one myself. a true classic.
Same here

I remember watching this so long ago, it's nice to come back and relive memories

This is an awesome how to video on to take apart; resemble your diecast models.
Man that looks good. It looks like you walked into the store and bought it.
This is still very useful to this day and the best option
Wow Job well done from start to finish. Step by step with great commentary.
I would love to have a Eldora dirty looking Norm Benning truck.A raced used muddy look.
It's so sweet how it's in slow motion, and that is just a compliment. Plus, i love how the music is like... jazz. ;)
Happy (almost) 10 years to the most goated custom tutorial out there
Could you do an updated video showing how to take apart a Gen 6?
Now we can make a car for Timmy Hill
Awesome video, now I have to find the right 2002 Chevy to do Jeff Purvis Timber Wolf car
Impresionante Custom ! Muy bueno ! te felicito !
Wow. All of your costom cars look great.

RacingFan 24842 your comment is so fucked I don’t even want to correct you besides go fuck yourself. seriously dude
@@kylebuschhasover200winsinn5 well that escalated quickly. Calm down english might not be his first language. Holy crap
Added tip double check any decals that you find on e-bay since some maybe made to the scale of 1/25 instead of 1/24
6:15 it looks wrecked

What site?
What site?
Very nice, and I love the dialogue. Explaining how/what you are doing is excellent stuff!
I have Joey Lagono stock car model kit finished it was only a snap tight but I used glue so much fun to build them
When the car is striped, do you gotta sand it so the paint would stick to it?
I'm planning on doing a Truex Jr.Ovarian Cancer car from last year. As for a clear sealer, what would you use to maintain the 'matte' black color?
this is really cool I liked the Jegs truck but the truck you created looks great too
Thanks!Great instructions and the truck looks it like it was Made by Lionel themselves!
Nah if it was made by Lionel everything would be in the wrong spot
Looks like Harvick took a roll in the grass 6:11
Great video! I think I'll try this now
If nobody has noticed, I think the headlights are upside down. Still, very impressive.
That's pretty awesome, can't believe you did a Harvick diecast that way though :p
Seriously though, I appreciate it. I'm wanting to make a 1949 Jim Roper diecast.
Great work awesome idea for. Custom race trucks I might do the same when I get a NASCAR camping world truck and make dale earnhardt 3 truck
This video is better than therapy
Killer 🤘🏻

When I unscrew stuff,I just put the screwdriver Into the screw and see if I have the right size
awesome!
Really good work dude loved this vid.
Awesome video
thank you so much you have inspired me to make my own custom diecast I appreciate it

Actually, the team had me make some for them after seeing the one in this video! They were probably the ones that you saw.
How much and when do you have time? I'd love to buy one. Your work is the best I've seen. I just started building customs but I'm building easier ones to start out. Trevor Bayne taco bell car is the one I'm starting with but I'd rather you do the 75 truck because I want perfection.
Sam can you make a Custom Pit crew making video those never Exist -_- but they should

this was a great video, u r very good at this
When you were taking it apart it looked like the Snaptite snap together model for kids. Lol
why did i used to watch this so much
Great Video!!
If you want your decals to fit better try some Microscale microsol and microset.
I should make a 1:24 custom car of Kurt Busch's 1 car that he drove in the 2012 Drive4Copd 300.
All your cars look great I love watching your videos can I pls have a diecast any diecast
Can you recommend good places to get diecast 1:64 cars from, and can you recommend some templates to use?
Watch part 2
Nice video, well done.
hey question what can be used to remove decals with any fancy tools?
Where did you get the wrap for the Caleb truck? I'm looking for one for a toyota truck
This is so awsome
Do you have any suggestions on how to change the name in the windshield for cup cars?
This video has helped me out so much.
Dude great Vid. but.. didn't you put the frontlight decals in upside down? They look kind akward and wrong...
Yeah, the headlights are wrong, I'm not really sure what I was thinking when I did this.
LoL :D
U have a lot of potential in TH-cam new sub
Somehow this gave me an idea
awesome video man!! thanks
When using stripper put your diecast over cardboard or improvise something other than a sink . The stripper will dry and the leftovers can be put into the trash ✌
The front headlights are supposed to be right up against the grill
nice
that was driven by Kevin Harvick the 2 car
Thanks man, im going to do this to all my old tony stewart die casts lol
Could you maybe make a video of you applying the decals? It’s real satisfying watching it
So cool
I purchased an Austin Dillon 2015 1/64, and it has screws, but all of mine seem to big. Ideas?
Very well done..
Hi
That is NASCAR truck series
Does anyone know the names of the background music in this video?
I'm doing my first custom how many coats of primer is best and does it matter the color of the primer(white or black)? And how many coats of paint ? the car is all flat black. Thanks.
Nice job man!
cool, i want to try to make a custom blacked out vic with visor police lights
Great Video! You've just earned a sub!
Cool
you're great! but I must say that the title should be 'repaint' rather than 'build'. keep up!
You failed to mention how you get it off if the diecast you bought has rivets holding the body on
He has a part 2 for that
How do we know what primer color Wil work best?
good video
Nice job man
When trying this at home, should we wear safety gear like gloves face masks and all that stuff?
Of course you should. Doing this is very dangerous so
Is it possible to make a dented look to the cars/trucks?
Nice
Can you make me one of those Food Country trucks?~ How much do you charge?~
Do you do any Gen6 cars? If so, how do you go about removing the hood pins?
I use a dental pick to get under them and they just pop right out
Awesome
wooooooooow that is cool
Hello, samcdemo, how are you, I have one question, what music did you use for your video?
How would I do this with a 1:64 die-cast
do you have any experience taking apart a Gen 6?
Christopher T Munro they are all pos gen 6 is the best fallowed by fucking 1
Taking apart gen 6’s is a little complicated as you might bend the steering mechanism in removing the body but with a little work it is basically the same as this
Can you put the link to the sheets please?
Do you need the paint remover?
My mom:Don't open the diecasts.
Me: But mom I'm making a custom car.
Mom:That ruins the value of the collectable.
How would I do a gradient?
You can start by taking out 51 truck and they’re 54 truck and putting them under the wheels of your vehicle and backing over them
Nice vid dude
Hey! I bought your Justin Allgier diecast off of eBay.
One of the first cars I ever made, I didn't know what I was doing at the time!
Haha! 😀
Anyway, are you gonna sell customs anymore?
bigcracer I do, on eBay and on Twitter, with the handle in the video description
Oh! Cool!
I hate to be picky, but do you think you could start making some 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series customs? I'm collecting 2014 Nationwide cars.
I've been looking at Pattos Place for the #31 Dollar General decal set and can't find it. Did you do some creative collaborating on that JA car?
Where’d you get the decals
Would you be willing to do a 1/64 version of this?
