Good question - it depends on the amount of damage. If it's just scraped or dented body damage it can be repaired at the shop by hanging a new body. Usually, if the car needs and major body repairs, the entire car is re-wrapped. If it's just a scraped decal, they keep extra decal pieces on the truck. Boris
The great thing about these 3M vinyl decals is that they can be lifted and reapplied without damaging the car's finish, or the decal itself. Great question! -Boris
It does seem odd at first glance, but if you can imagine lifting several gallons of paint, compared to a roll of thin vinyl, you'd notice a huge difference. Thanks for watching! -Boris
So who remembers watching this when they was little, cause I sure as hell did, good memories when watching this that drove me into watching the sport ngl
This entire wrap installation took 1 hour & 40 minutes. It isn't just time that is saved; money and weight are a big factor. When painting cars, you have to primer them, sand, remove paint evenly, etc. Thanks for watching! -Boris
There are lots of decal companies out there who employ skilled installers. Gain the skills, make the connections, get to work. Thanks for watching! -Boris
It's amazing how they managed to fit the wrap onto the car so perfectly. Not a single spot with any loose wrap or visible primer. Excellent job, looking forward to more of these videos in the future. :)
Hi, yes they all sign autographs for fans. As far as their availability for requests to be sent in, your best bet is to check their personal websites as drivers handle their own autograph requests. Thanks! -Boris
Hi, great question. It depends on the sponsor, most of the Sprint Cup Series sponsors will provide their own car designs, but occasionally we do them in-house. -Boris
What you've seen is the finished product. A clear protective film is applied to the printed vinyl after it comes out of the printer. We will put a clear 3M Nose wrap on the this car after the wrap process. -Boris
Yes, and no. The distinct lines in the new body provide more reference points, which is helpful. At the same time, there are a lot more severe bends and warps in this body. We love them nonetheless. - Boris
There's a lot of prep work, that's for sure. Rewraps, fender work, patches, cars changing sponsors week to week. We have an army of folks that do bodywork. Thanks for the comment. -Boris
The trick to wraps and stickers is water and small amount of dish soap. It allows the adhesive to be positioned just right. Flatten out the bubbles, let dry and you're all set.
Not too long ago maybe 15 years ago they would spray the base layer for the Daytona and Talladega. 20 years ago it was all paint for the most part. Wrapping now is just way faster and lighter weight.
interstate batteries was Joe Gibbs first and longest lasting sponsor. Correct me if I'm wrong but it was Bobby Labonte, in a J.G.R. Interstate batteries Pontiac that brought 'the coach' his first Cup championship. Mars candy co. still is a major sponsor at J.G.R. and you will soon see the M&M scheme on K.B's 18 car. Cheers!!
The installers are contracted, they're outside companies. So you'd need to find one in your area and get some experience before trying to break into one that wraps NASCAR cars. That's the generic answer. Thanks for watching! -Boris
Hey, Kyle is my favorite driver. Thanks for the video! I'm gonna set this as my dreamscene (moving desktop background)! Is there any chance you could do this for Hamlin and Kenseth?
I began watching nascar when I was 5 and I thought cars were painted, but then my Yaya showed me this video and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I still watch it to this day and it’s still so frickin cool
Paint = tons of time preparing in the shop, uneven weight distribution across the body, time in the shop to strip paint, and lots of money. Decal = Less time in the shop, even weight distribution, little time to strip, less money. Boris

I bet the people who do these get at least slightly upset when the driver crashes the car.
I know i would
I don't. That's just more money in my pocket! "Oh you need it by tomorrow?" $$$$ure thing
No they got differt cars how often do you see same design
Luke AJ You know we’re talking Kyle Busch here right?
I mean it’s there job to and there making money off of doing it so why would they be mad to do there job?

my entire life is a lie. i always thought that nascars were painted like that since i was a kid. it makes sense now
They use to be. Rick Hendrick's cars are still painted for the most part bacause of the Axalta sponsor. Wrapping is much cheaper

hey guys i found out why nascars are not street legal, they have no head lights.
I don't think that's why... Lol
Insert coolname yes it is why because every vechicle must have headlights
Cayden Rush I know, but they are illegal in many other different ways. Slick tyres, super low height, huge amount of power, no license plate...
+Leng Thor but if you have all the stuff and paint it like that, you can probably drive it, that would be awesome
Thats not the only reason
So they worked on the car for 1 hour 40 minuets just to see destroyed in the race. That would suck
Star_Dust why did I find u here
John Smith no what he said was that it would suck to work on a car for that long just for it to crash
@John Smith nah the labor dude

isn't it ment to be in the description red green and blue instead of red green and brown
No, because the only characters that are on the car are the Red (left side), Green (right side), and Brown (rear) characters.
