Agreed, from my experience and especially those I know that use/abuse their trucks, it's Ford it all the way. The TRX has upped the game in that genre so I'll give Dodge credit in that department. But of course you know Ford's not going to let that slide and I'm sure the next generation will just go back to advantage Raptor. But of these two that Tremor is absolutely badass!
I noticed that he felt that the ford was faster, I have personally raced a f350 with the new 7.3, in my 2019 ram 2500 and won. Ram leaves the line alot harder. But I did have the advantage of 4.10 rears vs. his 3.73
Company I worked for had too many issues with the 6.4 Hemi, that being said, there's no way that I'd spend my own money on a Ram pickup with that engine.
I have the F350 tremor diesel. Had the power wagon prior. Ford is superior in 90 percent of any off road application and can get all your gear such as a tow BeHIND RV and atvs, side by side’s without screaming the gas engines. I have begged ram for 20 years to put a diesel in the power wagon. AEV builds a nice diesel similar to the power wagon. The Ford diesel tremor is a BAD ASS machine.
I have the Power Wagon. I had the Ford. The Ford was good but the Power Wagon is great-for what I actually use the truck for. There is just no contest off road. For the things I tow, the Ram works for me, and I have towed over 12,000 lbs several times (Sand, Sod,Rock). I do recommend putting 35's or 37's on the Ram. One final observation. I think the Ram is more comfortable driving long distances than the Ford. But they are both well made trucks and I believe you would be happy with either one on or off road.
Great review/comparison thanks! I love how you brought up the port injection on the V-8‘s as its a far superior design. I went PW for the off road features and softer suspension because I don’t need the towing. 10k lbs is plenty and I’d have NO PROBLEM pushing it all the way to 10k lbs. Most comfortable driving and luxurious vehicle I’ve ever owned. Keeping it forever
Why get a 7,000lb truck with awful mileage that only tows 10k lbs ? Genuinely curious I feel like people step up to trucks this big for hauling or towing. Otherwise why would you get a truck with 16mpg. There’s the Ranger, Tacoma and colorado which all have capable off road models. Or even Raptor leave any other truck in the dust off road. If you don’t care about towing seems like a waste
@@CoyoteFTW Im guessing youre a woman. Thats not meant to be a slight. If youre a man, and dont understand that guys like big trucks, then I dont know what to tell you.
I’d take the Ford, but the Ram is a nice truck too. I’ve owned a couple Ford and Dodge trucks and the Fords seem to hold up better and have less issues. That’s just my personal experience though. Both beautiful trucks!
Love them both and the ‘22s have improvements for each. I’m gonna tow in the future so I’d opt for the Ford with the power stroke. It’s a shame that the Ram PW won’t be getting a Cummins. That would have factored in my decision. Good video. 👍

I saw a video a few weeks ago showing Ford was finally working on their interior. Ford owners will have something that is nicer inside...so they're much more comfy while waiting on a tow truck🤣
@@blindsey8234 Sure, on the redesign. This interior is based on 5 year truck design, still better than the new Chevy interiors. To the point Chevy is doing an emergency interior update on their all-new Silverados.

The difference in interior finish is stark. Ram put a lot more effort with this and it shows. Granted, not a big deal to some but if I’m sitting in there I’ll take the Ram.

At 2:55 in this video, you mention that the Tremor only has limited slip on the front and falls behind the Ram as non locking. Then the very next shot shows the Ford wheel hub where you can clearly see the center dial that allows you to switch from auto to lock. I only mention this because I recently began reviewing these two vehicles and I understood this feature on the Ford was a means of switching between part time & full time four wheel drive, or from limited slip to locked. I'm still learning about these features so I realize that I may be missing something so I was hoping you could clarify what this means. Thanks.
except with an LSD you can drive at any speed with it on vs front lockers on Ram. Thats why they put LSD on it more user friendly no binding on highway
I’ve got to say I was bothered to hear some of the errors in stats but you caught some (not all) nice review. I’m going to go power wagon on this one since I don’t need the towing ability as much as I want the off road prowess.
I have a 2007 F-350 SRW 6.0 powerstroke Detroit truetrac in front Detroit locker in rear 4:10 gears. A front locker is not much better unless you get in crazy rock territory. I've been through mud, sand, mild rocks, ruts, ditches....and always both front wheels pulling. The front truetrac is a beast and as close to a locker you can get! Only issue is on ice in Minnesota, it has a tendency to plow forward even during turning around corners
ram is king I wish you would've made a bigger deal about the pw having front and rear lockers and disconnecting sway bar like you did with its payload and tow cap.
The mirrors on a Ram tip Up and out for towing. And my personal opinion since I have owned both is the Ram mirrors are better. I like a taller mirror for towing.
The power Wagon is the Grandfather to all full size 4x4 trucks. Early Ford and G.M's used New Process gear for their transfer cases and transmissions. Chrysler owned New Process and New Venture Gear. New Venture a joint with G.M. Muncie plant.
@kevin "prelim phenom" lee not really , miss out on comestic on the outside. Alot of cosmetic though. Plus the interior looks like its from 2002 compared to the actual power wagon high end speaker systems, display 12 or 8in and much much more. Plus the tradesman w/ PW package is around what ? 52- 55k MSRP? The real PW all done up your around 65k MSRP . For another 10k your getting a way way more badass truck. Thats just my take on it.
I have a badass Tradesman PW, and it’s used as a truck is designed to be used. I hunt, fish, overland, haul wood and tow a off road camping trailer all over Alaska. I don’t see the added benefit of all the extra tech, leather, sunroof, etc when looking at the true uses a PW was designed for (just my opinion, to each his own my friends). If you look at the history of the PW, the Tradesman is actually much closer to the original intent than the Laramie. Both are just as capable, just the interior and cosmetics are different, which gives you choices. I upgraded my audio system, all lighting, brakes, 35 in Toyo AT 3’s, sliders, Line X pro in the bed/bumpers/ lower body panels , cold air intake, exhaust, and made some performance mods with the money I saved, so for me, it was the right way to go. Either way, the PW holds it’s own against anything else on the market when it comes to capability, it is the best rig going IMO. Happy motoring, get out there and get after it!😎👍
@@RichL57It is EXACTLY the same mecahnically. You just give up a few luxuries... but gain payload since you do not have all the weight if the extras such as: leather seats and door trim, big dash screen, etc. At the boundaries of either package, the Tradesman Power Wagon has 500 lbs better payload capacity over a fully loaded PW.
Great video sir. The only I wish you would have added is a top speed test , quarter mile race between the trucks and a roll race fro 40 to wide open throttle test.
GREAT REVIEW. kudos to you for your objectivity and attention to detail. F250 would've been a more precise compare, but other than weight, the diff between 250/350 stats is negligible. Good job, and keep 'em coming bruh!
Small thing to most - but a determining factor for me - is the lack of the 40/console/40 front seat in the Ram. I seriously considered the Power Wagon last summer but went with a Raptor and it really did come down to that. Also looked at the Rebel but - other than the nicer interior (with the 12 pkg to eliminate some of that red) the Raptor was the better choice. Nice trucks though. Can’t go wrong with either of them IMO.
Power Wagon any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Just like the way Ram set the truck up even though it doesn't have the pay load capacity, you sometimes have to sacrifice to gain. Most people I know and see on the road and off road, don't use half their pay load or towing capacity anyhow. Power Wagon is a beast. It always has been for the past 75 years.
understand the comparison, but these are not competing against each other. like a raptor vs fx4 f150. raptor/powerwagon are purpose built for offroad that can also do some towing/payload. tremor or 2500 equivalient are primarily 3/4 pickups with full towing and payload capacity, but with offroad package for mainly looks but offers a little bit of offroad benefit.
ford tremor all day until you open the door and sit down and see the dollarama quality of the interior, dash and screen. the interior of the dodge is what sold me and in the end it comes down to who you want to impress.... other people when you drive by or yourself and in this case it is myself because i dont feel ripped off when i sit in the drivers seat and fiddle with my screen.
When people talk about the ram interior, really they just want the big touch screen. Oooo shiny. Heard the sun gear on it sucks. Your controls for the cabin are in there, what else can it do? Besides look expensive to replace?
@@camonly849 understandable. It's mainly because it is a very industry breaking item, a Tesla sized screen to be brought to a pickup truck. And i will say, if you climb into a limited RAM, nothing touches it. The leather quality is spectacular, stitching is perfect, even the embroidery is gorgeous. Coming from a RAM fan, and someone who sold all the Big 3 had to offer.
For my lifestyle, it's PW all the way. I tow no more than 8000 lbs with toy hauler camper loaded and all my gear... but I go into some oretty formidable places to get where I want to be.
i picked up a 19 power wagon and absolutely love it. took the huge muffler off and put a delete pipe on it and i smile every time i start it up. it is a beast offroad, and puts my jeep to shame.
I do valet ,the fords just feels like a massive truck when driving long ass wheelbase and the front end feels like I’m about to hit everything and I drive a Vic . Gotten used to it for the most part. Rams are more comfortable and better interior but ford looks better exterior wise
The. Tremor being a package added to the Superduty you said ventilated seats they are cooled not just vented and with the KR or Platinum or limited you get massaging seats also
Great video…but the Ford for the overall money and what 99% of buyers are going to use it for…towing, off-road capability and just plan bad ass…Tremor hands down
If I didn’t need to tow anything and wanted a fully capable off-road vehicle I’d pick the PW. If I wanted to tow to off-road locations then I’d take the Tremor. Both are bad ass!
Pretty sure you can get the power wagon in different trim levels. On tfl truck that had a tradesman (base model) with a power wagon package. Good way to get the off road goodies and save money
Power wagon needs bigger tires. If I wanted for more towing/hauling, I would get the Ford, but for just most driving and using everyday I think the Ram.
Super informative and outstanding video.. thank you and great job. I have a 2022 F-350 Tremor on order, will be here in a couple months! So nice that Ford offers a bit more capable off-road HD truck. The PW is a cool truck but I do a ton of hauling and towing so you simply can't beat the Ford on that. Just got home from 6k mile road trip towing a 29' travel trailer with my 99 F-250 7.3 PS (for sale btw). I love my F-250, it is a tough-ass truck, has 240k on it and still drives and pulls like new. But.. got passed by several 6.7's pulling 35'+ trailers like they were nothin. I can't wait for 475 hp, 1000+ lb's torque and the 10 speed trans. If I was buying a truck to go where a Jeep can go, I would buy the Power Wagon.. but for work you need the Ford. Thanks!

A solid review, but there are major points missed. The review would be even better if the off road capabilities are compared. Both vehicles are designed for off road conditions, so why not gear the review for it? Get them off the pavement and show what they can do. Talk more about gearing, suspension travel and articulation, etc., the meaty stuff! Thanks for the review!
I really like the look of the Ford but why is the Tremor dashboard lights flashing while you are driving? That would be concerning to me before dropping over 50Gon the truck.
My truck is not the Tremor but I have the 250 lariat with the same interior and it doesn't flash like that. I believe it's from the filming process. You could see at a certain angle of filming it looked normal.
Just purchased the 2020 Dodge Power Wagon. Great reviews!!!. Personally, the off road capability, electronic lockers and sway bar were the selling features. Our trailer is under 10K lbs so not a consideration. The inside of the Dodge is outstanding with the 12 inch display...takes some time to get comfortable, but beautiful upgrade on the screens (especially split screen functionality with iPhone). Thanks for the video.

@@RichL57 Dumb statement. It's the EXACT same truck without the Power Wagon stripe.
What’s the overall height of the f250 tremor ?
GREAT REVIEW. kudos to you for your objectivity and attention to detail. F250 would've been a more precise compare, but other than weight, the diff between 250/350 stats is negligible. Good job, and keep 'em coming bruh!
Ram . THERE IS NOTHING BETTER . MY OPINION ... Nice video . Thanks a lot bro
Great review :)
Can’t go wrong with either of them IMO.
you can get that if you go the PowerTradesman route
Can you get the power wagon or temor in a regular cab long bed or short bed.
Not sure about PW but tremor only comes short bed.
I put air bags under my 2021 power wagon to increase payload. No more squatting when pulling my big living quarters horse trailer
great review
Power Wagon any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Just like the way Ram set the truck up even though it doesn't have the pay load capacity, you sometimes have to sacrifice to gain. Most people I know and see on the road and off road, don't use half their pay load or towing capacity anyhow. Power Wagon is a beast. It always has been for the past 75 years.
75 years ago they were an American owned company. Can’t say that today. Although fiat is killing it. I’m not buying it. Or gm for that matter.
thank you for a great video and being neutral is refreshing no bias in the video...
keep up the great work cheers
Thank you very much!
understand the comparison, but these are not competing against each other. like a raptor vs fx4 f150. raptor/powerwagon are purpose built for offroad that can also do some towing/payload. tremor or 2500 equivalient are primarily 3/4 pickups with full towing and payload capacity, but with offroad package for mainly looks but offers a little bit of offroad benefit.
6:47 But the Ford does have the bed camera on that particular truck?
Yes
Yep sorry about that, it does. My bad!
ford tremor all day until you open the door and sit down and see the dollarama quality of the interior, dash and screen. the interior of the dodge is what sold me and in the end it comes down to who you want to impress.... other people when you drive by or yourself and in this case it is myself because i dont feel ripped off when i sit in the drivers seat and fiddle with my screen.
When people talk about the ram interior, really they just want the big touch screen. Oooo shiny. Heard the sun gear on it sucks. Your controls for the cabin are in there, what else can it do? Besides look expensive to replace?
the quality of materials are better in general.
@@ToAstYNaChO there are still a lot of plastics in it. I will say I've never been in one. So it could be nice. But all I hear about is the screen.
@@ToAstYNaChO yes, they did kill it with the screen. Very unexpected. I will have sit in one and see. My cousins father in law had the limited.
Has*
For my lifestyle, it's PW all the way. I tow no more than 8000 lbs with toy hauler camper loaded and all my gear... but I go into some oretty formidable places to get where I want to be.
i've always liked the power wagon but for the things i haul, tow, camping, hunting etc, it's tremor f-250 7.3 for me....
i picked up a 19 power wagon and absolutely love it. took the huge muffler off and put a delete pipe on it and i smile every time i start it up. it is a beast offroad, and puts my jeep to shame.
Ram box, enough said, with the plugin. Payload is small. Because it's meant for offroad.
Put 35's on the ram instead of the 33's and there is the better approach angle
I do valet ,the fords just feels like a massive truck when driving long ass wheelbase and the front end feels like I’m about to hit everything and I drive a Vic . Gotten used to it for the most part. Rams are more comfortable and better interior but ford looks better exterior wise
Which ones gonna be on the road at 200k miles? Which ones gonna "Not" gonna cost as much as the truck initially cost in repairs at 200k miles?
The. Tremor being a package added to the Superduty you said ventilated seats they are cooled not just vented and with the KR or Platinum or limited you get massaging seats also
Stellantis power wagon baby!
Kidding, I like Ford too!
Comparing apples to oranges... One tows, other off-roads!
how tall are you? i've never seen a 2017+ Super Duty in real life
Not looking for a fight here but Powerwagon what's the point? With the towing and payload numbers why not just get a 1/2 ton?
Great video…but the Ford for the overall money and what 99% of buyers are going to use it for…towing, off-road capability and just plan bad ass…Tremor hands down
The ram mirrors don’t extend but they do flip up
If I didn’t need to tow anything and wanted a fully capable off-road vehicle I’d pick the PW. If I wanted to tow to off-road locations then I’d take the Tremor. Both are bad ass!
Pretty sure you can get the power wagon in different trim levels. On tfl truck that had a tradesman (base model) with a power wagon package. Good way to get the off road goodies and save money
Yep that’s my bad, sorry about that!
Power wagon needs bigger tires. If I wanted for more towing/hauling, I would get the Ford, but for just most driving and using everyday I think the Ram.
The power wagon hase flip up mirrors for the extended view
Great review. Do you know what type of limited slip the front axle is on the Tremor? Clutch, Torsen, etc?
Clutch
Power Wagon for me 🔥
Super informative and outstanding video.. thank you and great job.
Thanks!
OP: I am not here to convince you which one is better.
ME: Tremor...
avenger007007 power wagon
@@User2452-i7n Power wagon only has one engine. Ya the disconnecting from sway bar is nice, but wait a little bit and the Tremor will eventually have one after market.
@@avenger007007 I thought cars and trucks were suppose to have one engine
Both are impressive but I gotta lean toward Ram for comfort. I’m 6’1” @ 215 and my knee hates being limited & rubbing on a center console
Im 6' 2" and 210 lbs, doesn't seem to be an issue in my super duty with center console. Either truck looks nice and it's all a matter of preference. 🤙
What truck is a 6'1" person hitting their knees on anything? Did you mean 7'1"??
I’m 6’4 200 and I do valet ford trucks are not an issue unless I get a 5’2 girl driving it , just the front end seems massive and I drive a Vic
U forgot about the Coolers / Bins in the floor of the rear cabin where U can put drinks, or Tools, anything…??? 🤷🏻♂️ Plus 4:10 gears …🤷🏻♂️👍 I own a 2022 Power Wagon, and I Love It and I don’t need a Towing Vehicle I have Leitner Racks with a Tepui Top Tent on the Racks and a Rhino Rack over the Cab, So I don’t need to tow a trailer.. Plus U Can get the Power Wagon package on other Trims of Ram Trucks ( Tradesman, Big Horn ) it’s just the suspension though.. And Like U said I put 35” Tires on it and it’s Perfect!!! Now I have a couple Buddy’s who put 37” Tires on one and they work but rub ( barely and once in a while ) but it can be done..🤷🏻♂️👍
I just want to go on record ford may have a towing light... but the power wagon i looked at had a towing camera
The Ram has an Italian and French flair with the Stellantis package.
Thanks for the video.
yOU DID A GOOD JOB
I’ll take the Tremor hands down
But Ford better watch out for the Ram TRX
Can’t wait to see that TRX 👍
Trx is half ton based, no comparison. Ram is gunning for Raptor not Tremor wit the TRX
