- During the scene where Barbie tortures Ken by ruining his clothes, there is a moment where she pulls out a Nehru jacket. She asks him “this is from what, 1967?”. This could be a hint to two things. The famous James Bond villain, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who popularised the Nehru style, made his first appearance in a bond movie with You Only Live Twice, which released in 1967. There is also the fact that the shirt resembles the jackets worn by The Beatles on the cover of the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, which was also released in the year of 1967.
