This was a helpful video, i have the 450. But just a question, you showed the oil plug, that plug is towards the front of the machine, there is another plug just behind that towards the back of the machine, what is that for? Seems my owners manual shows that as the oil drain plug.
The plug he showed was for the oil strainer, it's lightly spring loaded and contains a mesh cup, its designed to bypass in the event that the strainer becomes obstructed. For regular oil changes just remove the oil drain plug.
@RS-dc7wy what if this was removed during an oil change? Put back together and fill back up? Nothing extra needed? Asking for a friend that thought he knew which one to pull😅
Agreed. Just to save a couple dollars at the factory. All atvs need one. Obviously the guys crunching numbers dont ride very far off the beaten path. Thanks for the comment! Does it have a fuel pump?
Doubt it. If the fuel tank is higher than the motor then gravity will fill the fuel bowl of the carb.
