maybe you can help, I built the tower just like you had in another video, but the turrets WILL NOT FIRE. they will aim or try to at the mobs but they don't fire. I read that sometimes you don't see the animation of them shooting but held off on shooting and there was no damage. someone in a forum mentioned cameras, so I place camera all over it and around the house... everything has power. but they just do not work other than pointing at the mobs (sometimes). I saw a vid of someone placing them on boxes to look out windows, but noticed you or anyone else are not placing them up on anything
@@brettleisy356 I think they are bugged for a lot of people. Try moving them around to see if anything changes. I have never needed to use cameras or anything else. I will say that they sometimes don’t work though so I’m chalking it up to they are just buggy and hoping they patch them soon. I’ll ask around to see if anyone has a better answer.
After building in the same location, I came upon your video looking to improve defense. As my single building resonant is in the water diagonally opposite yours, but it's too close to the spawn as the water is too deep to move it further away, so I will be moving it, as the idea was to keep my base from being between the spawns and the filter. :)
if you can get the spot on the corner, just north of my area the spawn points are on the opposite side of the river and it makes the whole process a cake walk. Essentially only needing to kill the bosses.
Just a lil FYI, you dont lose the mats if something gets destroyed on your base, they go into your vault which you access through the territory terminal
I don't know if this is true for actually destroyed items. I know if storage is broke they will go into your vault, but when I lost my generators weeks ago, there was nothing there. This may have been updated though.
But you lose specialized workbenches you get from your hive mates. Like special benches, stoves and ovens. If you can't craft them on your own and they get destoyed your friend needs to come over again and place them
Thanks for this, just what I was looking for, I was wondering what T3 would look like, that boss at the end would tear up my base 😂, glad to have found your guide, liked and subbed. What are your rig specs? Your graphics look amazing.
Thanks. My rig is in need of an upgrade, although it was a beast for its time. Still handles all the games on ultra with good frame rates. CPU: i7 8700K MOBO: Asus ROG Maximus Code GPU: Nvidia 2080TI FE Mem: 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Pro HDDs: M.2 and many SSDs Display 1: 34" Alienware 3440x1440p 120hz (plus a few others)
th-cam.com/video/B513SMm43A4/w-d-xo.html South East of Black Fell. My friend just setup his base north of mine on the corner and both his spawn points are across the water so he literally only needs to just kill the boss when it spawns. Crazy easy. It's all about finding those spawn points and building accordingly.
I was able to use your tips to clear 40 T3 cortex in one go, wasn't too bad at all, thank you 😊 I am now worried about hard server, I am still 2 weeks away to transfer, can you do territory purification in first week of hard server? (To get the weekly starcrom) What is the highest lvl cortex we can do in week 1? Any additional tips for harder server purification?
Same rules apply for Hard server, we got one extra boss but it was easy. You can only do T2 the first week because of the later zones being locked. So I recommend registering and waiting until you've done your weekly before moving.
I talk about it in the video but essentially you place 1 level 1 cortex in and run it to find out where they spawn. There will be 2-3 locations. Once you know those you want to build defenses to counter.
It seems that turrets won't fire continuously when targets are within their range. Had a tower with around 15 MK II turrets and they often couldnt target them (was using a similar tower config). Is there an internal cooldown in play to prevent the guns from being too powerful? Or is it the placement?
Give it time and check later to see if it went into your "Vault". It may have spawned underground. They said they fixed this but I still hear people having problems. The vault is there as a storage for anything you lose or drop in your base. Let me know if you find it there. May not show for a few hours.
If part of my tower of doom gets destroyed, does the "repair all" option in the Terminal fix the structures (walls) as well? It doesnt on mine so is there an easier way to rebuild missing parts if ive saved a blueprint?
They will catch the few that may slip by and save you from failing but they are not very good. You'll be relying on yourself and knowing your spawn points the most. Make sure you're building the base with those in mind. I personally try to do water bases so I only need to worry about the boss since mobs can't swim.
@@HackerBusting lol. I mean technically 15 min. The last was just the purifications but I like to be thorough and have a conversation here. I’ll try to tighten it up 😂

nice vid some good tips which i mostly follow already but it didn't look like your turrets were that effective. since the emphasis was on the "Tower of Pain" and seeing it in action. looks cool but I couldn't really see it do too much it seemed to have zombies bashing it every time you looked at it lol. You should do one standing on top of it and focus on it. I'm not a big fan of the towers. i find they work better at ground level with nothing in the way and a few flame defense thingys. maybe a few sandbags too. I just have to take care of the occasional flying thing or one that slips through. i find sometimes the turrets shred everything and then sometimes they do hardly anything though could be servers who knows. the deviants definitely target the generators i found out. those flying bugs will sometime just shoot towards my generators from where they spawn. Every now and then it just says failed and my stardust resonator seems damage even though nothing got near it and its well hidden. do their attacks go through solid concrete and marble??? I'm always trying to optimize the turret positions but the enemies seem to change where they go every now and then. some head straight for the resonator and some just want to get for the house and avoid where the resonator is. ive never put all 40 in i prefer to do more and get a heap more acid with the food buff...works really well.
Yeah, if you have the time doing more is better in terms of acid farming. I have thousands from my furniture runs so just want to be over with it quickly. The turrets do work on my build (most of the time) but they don't seem to do a ton of damage.. enough to hold them back for a little. The biggest thing is having the sandbags to keep them at a distance and then jumping over to finish them off. Next time I do 40 Ill record it and post a vid for you.

No, you have to do it manually or destroy the whole thing and then just redo the blueprint.. sometimes that may be easier.
