    I love my steam deck. I have the chepest lcd one and with an micro sd card, I have not had a problem with storage. I really appreciate you mentioned being more concious about gaming purchases and not just jumping on whatever is trendy. That is definitely something I have been working on this year.

      I love that it has the option to add a micro SD card so you can freely buy the deck that best suites your budget without worrying about space! And thanks! I’ve been trying to be very conscious with gaming this year!

    I would be careful with putting it on a pillow for too long, as it looks like it's blocking the intake vent of your Steam Deck...and could lead to it overheating. Definitely tricky dealing with the heat..

      Yes!!! Definitely always careful with pillows. I try not to block any vents too much and am conscious of how long I’m playing with my pillow pad! Very important point to mention! Thanks for bringing it up!

    I own an OLED version and my partner the original LCD-version. The battery life, the fan and heat and screen is better on the OLED - otherwise they are pretty similar. I love it!

    The Stream Deck is an excellent product, and I recently purchased the refurbished LCD model. I am confident that the LCD model will not be phased out anytime soon due to the OLED model. The company is refurbishing LCD models to extend their lifespan, and new users, such as myself, are still purchasing them. It is important to note that the Stream Deck system should not be placed on top of a pillow, as this will block the vents that provide airflow to keep it cool. This is not recommended.

    I have a Steam Deck for a little less than a year now and i never looked at my PS4 again, and the reason for getting it was mainly to play Need For Speed and to emulate PS2 games that i used to play back on the day (like Burnout 3 and NFS Most Wanted, later replaced with the PC version because of mods)

    I have both currently, the OLED version just arrived 2 days ago. I have been playing a few games on it and so far I can confirm that the fan noise part is hugely improved. The screen is gorgeous. I played Horizon Zero Dawn today for around an hour (medium settings, 40 fps capped, no upscaling) and I was honestly surprised how silent the fan was during the whole time and naturally the screen really popped especially while HDR was enabled. Literally all 3 cons you mentioned in your video were addressed. My only complaint is with the front facing buttons (a,b,x,y), they are really loose compared to my LCD model, which might be just me being unfortunate but I saw tons of others reporting this on reddit as well. I hope I can fix this later on.
    I would recommend getting the OLED version if you can afford it and of course if you are using the device frequently. Used prices are quite good currently, at least where I live, I'm planning to sell my original Deck.
    Having the extended battery life, the OLED screen with improved input latency and the silent fan definitely warranted the upgrade for me.
    One of the biggest cons for me with the LCD version was the screen, I didn't like to look at it much but holy cow it is a totally different level of experience now. 😊
    It is my first OLED device and I was blown away by it, (technically I have an OLED laptop, but I barely use it), somehow the Deck made me realize how big of a difference this can introduce, it is difficult to stop myself from wanting to upgrade my PC monitor now that I use for work 8-10h a day.. 😅 It is the "old" Samsung Odyssey G9 and it would be tough for me to part ways with it. It is still doing a great service for me for work.

    I plan on getting one in the future. I was debating on the lcd version or a unpatched switch. I chose the switch for now because I don’t feel like diving into a new consoles “world” at the moment.

  • @randomcommenterurl
    @randomcommenterurl 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    You should definitely try the OLED one. It’s lighter, battery lasts longer, & the fan is quieter. & the screen is amazing, not even comparable to the LCD version

      I mostly stream from my gaming PC (via Moonlight) so I get ultra graphics and 7.5 hours of battery. Only problem with the OLED Deck is I don't think I'll ever need a new Deck unless mine breaks, I'm talking 10+ years

    Hey, I'm glad that you're enjoying the deck. I have a quick question though, have you ever played multiple games on the Steam Deck in one gaming session?
    Also, I think it's a bit easier getting a PC these days since there are a lot of options to finance one.

    • @cozybichota
      @cozybichota  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As in one game and then switched over to another? If so, yeah!
      And def financing is an option, but some folks in college or different circumstances might not be able to finance so this is always a good alternative.

    I think the Steam deck is a great device. I don't have many cons about mine. It takes me a few hours for the fans to get loud, there's only one game I've played that made the steam deck so hot it froze.
    My only complaint, which isn't anyone's fault (but mine I guess lol), is it's hard for me to play my switch now.
    I still play my switch but only if the game I want to play in Nintendo exclusive.
    I have contemplated getting the OLED Steam Deck

    The Steam Deck is garbage, none of the Valve fan-boys admit or point it out, but the dpad, the bread and butter for playing the majority of the games that the Steam Deck can actually run, well the dpad is in a terrible position, almost off of the edge of the device, plus people's fingers hit the thumbstick when they use it, and gamers complain terribly of bad ergonomics when using the dpad. Cramps after a while for sure, and pure stress while getting there.

    • @cozybichota
      @cozybichota  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Thanks for watching the video and for your opinion. I find the Steam Deck to be a wonderful console in my gaming experience so far. I haven’t had issues with the D-pad’s position but I also mainly play thumbstick heavy games. When I have used the D-pad, I haven’t felt much discomfort, personally.

    • @sunrisesunset1734
      @sunrisesunset1734 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cozybichota yeah, i guess you are too young to want to play lots of those old titles, thumbsticks only came up with the PS2, so as you can imagine, there are TONS of dpad only games that are super fun! then there's fighting games, that you probably don't play much of either

    • @nothercode
      @nothercode 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      It may be that some people have had this experience, I don't want to deny that. I hear that more often in reviews. But I personally only know people who don't have any problems with it. Including myself. My fingers have never accidentally touched the thumpsticks. Ergonomically, I have no problems either. The position of the dpads didn't cause me any problems either. Of course, every console and every handheld always has room for improvement, but I think it is problematic to describe a console that so many people enjoy and have no problems with as "garbage".
