The original cut as the film was released in 1980 is wonderful. They should never have touched it. It is perfect as it was originally conceived. The best Star Wars movie.
Am I the only one that thinks the ships in this movie alone and the bots are coolest looking out of all the movies? They have this aesthetic that’s just so pleasing to the eye
I grew up on the special editions but also on the old Godzilla movies. Thus I would have been perfectly happy with the pre-special edition effects. Don't know why Lucas was so unsatisfied with his work.
Nope, there's just nothing like it. I'm so glad I was a kid when this came out and I get to see it all new on the big screen. An incredible experience.
awesome but i cannot believe the star destroyer versus asteroid scene target practice was missed ! and the tie bombers dropping on the asteroid han was hiding was also missed ! but hey this is great stuff, awesome sounds ! ty :)

I never could understand why the Rebels did not use their X-Wings on the walkers. X-Wing turbolasers would have made short work of them.
I think it is because X-wing are starfighter and can't maneuver as easily as airspeeder.
x-wings werent adapted for the cold ,,,,=^..^=,,,,

こっちの目が肥えちゃってるんで、映像的にはいま見るとこんな感じかあとは思うけど、戦闘機の飛び方ひとつとっても圧倒的にセンスが違う。6分30秒あたりのファルコンと敵とかね。これブルーバックの合成で撮ってるだからすごいよ。
