  • Here I discuss a few of my favorite types of interfacing and stabilizers for embroidering on clothing. It reduces the stretch of the material while you’re working on it!

The tender touch isn't available in my country, can I just use a fusible interfacing to cover my stitches? I'm planning to embroider my baby's clothes.

I plan to do some bead embroidery on a shirt, should I iron the interfacing down to the inside first before stitching or after?

I would use some before just to decrease the stretch of the shirt and add stability. 😊

Hello what would you suggest for embroidery intended to be part of a quilt that will be placed atop of batting etc please ? Thanks

I have not quilted but I’ve contributed embroidery squares for quilts. In that case I simply embroidered on fabric, I didn’t not use any extra interfacing or stabilizer. But you might want to consult with a quilter in this case. 😊 That isn’t my area of expertise.
