    I remember being the music pastor in a UPC church and though we were singing the song, "He That Believeth," taken straight from Scripture, but the pastor told us that we had to change the lyrics to: "He that believeth that the Father IS the Son." So much for not changing the the Word of God. I'm not criticizing, just making a mental note. I am ordained PCAF and raised in the African American Apostolic tradition, but attended UPC college and subsequently worked for several years in the UPC.

    Pretty easy to understand if you don't "think about theology" and don't consider what others think about it and just read the scripture: "For *there is one God,* and one mediator between God and men, *the man* Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5

      I'm sorry you believe it has helped you because Oneness Jesus only is a false doctrine. The apostles and early church fathers never taught that Jesus is the one name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and so should perform all religious activities in that one name.

      @@paulmc2162 Hi. What would help is if you were able to answer the Oneness explanation for the following scriptures:
      Luke 9:48 "whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me".
      John 8:42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but HE sent ME."
      John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come".
      If the Holy Spirit is God and only speaks what he hears, who is the other entity who has authority and to whom he listens?
      John 17:5 "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You BEFORE the world was."
      1 Tim 2:5 "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.". A mediator is a middle person. Either Jesus is God or just a man.
      Rev 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.". The Son sat WITH his Father.
      Also Mark 16:19 taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. IF no Trinity by whom was Jesus taken up by ie. what power and will was working on God (Jesus) to take him? The answer is God, whom he sat next to.
      When Stephen was being stoned he saw (Acts 7:55) looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, AND Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

God was manifest in the likeness of the flesh, however not the exactness. His Spirit and Soul was God, his body was human. The limitations of Christ in the NT are self imposed.

    Are there oneness apostolic Pentecostals that believe in the flat earth? I am one. I graduated from a non-denominational charismatic college of ministry training after four years of study. I then moved across the country to Florida where I first encountered oneness apostolic Pentecostalism and proceeded to spend another three years adding to my theological education. It was later I became aware of belief in the flat earth and although like most I laughed alot at first I spent three years studying biblical flat earth and geocentric science. Although the apostolic Pentecostal church fellowship I attend does not believe in the flat earth I have spoken with and met a number of pastors from other denominations that do believe in a biblical flat earth. I have read numerous books on the subject as well as learned more about heliocentric theoretical cosmology than I ever learned in college where I did study physics and engineering in the school of Architecture. There are more Oneness Pentecostals outside the UPCI than there are in it. For example, the Church of God in Ireland. The Church of God in aIreland believes the Oneness doctrine and baptises in Jesus’ Name. It also is Calvinist and believes in soul sleep and annihilation of the wicked dead. It believes eternity for the believer will be spent on a restored earth, not in heaven. The Church maintains good relations with the UPCI despite such obvious difference in doctrine.

    • @jamesarthurreed
      @jamesarthurreed ปีที่แล้ว

      My take away from your comment is just to be scriptural first, last and everything in between when forming doctrine. I've known "Calvinists" who, when they simply started obeying the scriptures as they are written, became very "non"-Calvinist in so much of their practices, with this being true of every major 'Ism' on the Catholic market. Yes, living this life in the flesh by the faith of the Son of God apart from the man-made "extra" scriptural labels is far more work, but it's the truth of Acts 17:11 lived out.

    I agree he had complete human nature (the man Christ Jesus), and not just a shell. Having a human spirit though is not in scriptural, in my opinion. I know several well known preachers do say he had a human spirit. I see some problems with that in eternity, only one throne in heaven. He was definitely God in the flesh (in the Son). Don't see many preachers emphasizing he had a human spirit behind the pulpit at all. Wonder why? God bless.

      @@eflint1 I absolutely agree, it is Jesus' Spirit we receive. Also called the Comforter (John 14:16), the Spirit of truth (John 14:17). The Comforter, Spirit of truth, is the Holy Ghost (John 14:26). The Holy Ghost is God (Mat. 1:18, 20). I think we pretty much would agree that when we receive the Holy Ghost it's one Spirit we receive and not two, especially not a human spirit.

    I do respectfully disagree with you. I use the term Godhead, the Godhead is throughout the entire Bible. God said ," Let us make man in our image" notice the us and our in that statement. The tower of Babel, God said, " let us go down and confuse their tongues". Notice the Scripture says "let us". Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man, hence the Son of God, the Son of Man. Acts 2:38- baptise in Jesus name, who was Peter speaking to in this verse? He was speaking to the Jews who said crucify Jesus. And in those days to say in the name of, meant in the authority of. So baptise in the authority of Jesus. And Jesus gave the command to His disciple's to baptise in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I could go on and on. There is just to much evidence in the Godhead, the triune Godhead for me not to believe it as truth. However, I do love you, I love your videos and Bible reviews, I agree to disagree with you. One day it will all be revealed to us. That's why I stick with Christ Crucified brother. Just preach Jesus, until Jesus comes again! Amen! Godbless!

  • @ChristisSaviour
    @ChristisSaviour 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So that's more evidence that Oneness is NOT the Faith that was once and for all entrusted to the Saints (Jude 3).
    1 Cor 1:10-12 " I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."
    John 17:23 "I in them and you in me - so that they may be brought to complete unity."
    Phil 1:28 "stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved - and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him."
    Elohim indicates a unity and diversity within the nature of God. This unity and diversity is revealed in Scripture as the doctrine of the Trinity. You just don't see it because you do not see the truth of God revealed in the New Testament.

    The Jesus Of the Bible is the eternal son of God . He is not the father or the Holy Ghost. You know just as well as I do, Jesus is not the father. No Christian ever believed that before 1914

    I think I have to disagree on the godhead about every Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal not having one godhead view we do it's Jesus. I've been in this way right at 50 years and never heard of anyone not say Jesus is God. Maybe it's a southern thing with a lot of ignorance and uneducated snake handlers, generally folks from Georgia Alabama Mississippi. They're not like the educated folks up in Indiana.

      I’ll tell you I’ve been shocked over the years when UPCI preachers begin to explain Jesus, and they begin to have quite a few different nuances. Like the Son ceased to exist used to be a big one in the 1980s. But there’s so many more that I’ve personally heard over the years. Even the argument was Jesus passable or impassible.

    Stop using Isa 9:6 to prove Jesus is the Father. That is horrible exegesis

    • @NewLifeOfAlbanyGa
      @NewLifeOfAlbanyGa  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it is truthful exegesis. What pathetic video did you watch? Walter martins debunked exegesis?

      Pro-Bible. You are pro extra biblical revelation and teach that God Decieved the Old Testament saints into believing He was 1 instead of 3.

      Actually, we are closer to the original Nicaean Creed than most modern trinitarians are.
