Read this part of Revelation for the first time last night. In searching this morning, it took a few searches to find someone (you) who specifically addresses it. Thank you!

I agree with your understanding of these Scriptures because it is the interpretation I am left with when reading it in its entirety. I think sometimes we focus on a word, such as "Angels", and we try to make the word mean what our ideas of what an "Angel" is and so changes the meaning of the passages, rather than just letting it flow to let the Bible just interpret itself. As many so do with the word "Hell". I couldn't find God addressing "literal" angels in this section of the Book because He is warning them of the things that are (right) and wrong. We don't have literal angels receiving these instructions and literally teaching in our churches. I also believe the instructions were to be given to church leaders to address with the members of that particular church. If my understanding of it is wrong, I trust Yahushua will correct me. Just as He always does. So far, He leaves me with this understanding and to me, there's no confusion. It's actually very simple to me to understand. Thank you for breaking it down the way you did for those out here who are conflicted on this topic. God Bless you brother!

Thanks for attempting to explain this. I think most of us sense something is up in this passage and needs figuring out and these are some good point to possibly explain it’s meaning.

-The Bible teaches for churches to have multiple elders (effectively the same thing as a pastor).
-I’m not aware of a scripture that teaches such a thing as a lead pastor.
-If angels in Rev 2 and 3 are pastors, it would contradict the scripture’s teaching elsewhere about multiple elders.
-The angels are defined as stars in Rev 1 (if I recall), indicating spiritual beings....and I take this literally.
-I do see that it appears that “thou” appears to be in reference to an angel.
-However, the letters go on to explain that these things are what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
-John writes to the angels because these are letters he delivers to spiritual angels who will deliver them to the churches.

Who is the true yokefellow of Philippians 4?
and it is impossible, as I say in the video, for the angels to do what is said of them, being spiritual angels.
you need to Scripturally reasses me friend. God bless you!

    • @ProjectCould

New Life Of Albany Ga. It seems you have the right view of yokefellow.
-I understand the tendency to see the “thy” as referring to an angel, and if that truly is the case, I would concede we’re talking about a human being.
-I’m proposing that the angels of the seven churches are disconnected from the first mention of “thy” said in each letter.
-My view allows us to better keep angels as spiritual beings (and Rev 1 already set the context for them being so).
-Since John is in exile, how is the book of Revelation going to be delivered to the churches? That’s really easy for me because spiritual angels will do that!
-My view recognizes that the scripture will sometimes say “thy” and “thou” when talking about a group of people...and I contend this is the case because the letters clarify toward the end that what is written is said by the Spirit to the churches (and some of the letters use plural language like “some of you”).
-So I see far more good reasons for my position than anything else.

Rev 1:1 God sends the revelation of Jesus Christ to Him for His servants for things that must SOON take place, then we just say "No it didn't" I'm not buying it, I think Jesus returned all ready.

I have no problem in taking the angels mentioned in the letters as actual heavenly beings. Considering how numerous, important and active angels are in Revelation we shouldn’t be surprised. In Daniel we get the idea that nations have angels, in the gospels Jesus says that children have angels, in Acts Peter is knocking at the door when he is supposed to be in prison and those inside say it can’t be him it must be his angel. I I believe that if we could see the amount of angelic activity going n around us we would be astonished. Therefore, I have no problem in understanding the angels mentioned in the letters as actual angelic beings. Within the con

the problem with your view is that angels are not responsible for what is going on in the church, the nation or individual. Here the Lord adresses the one who is responsible and that is the leader of the church ( the pastor etc ). He is the one who should correct the worng things in the church. The angel can't do that.

Agree they are 7 human people or prophets. Comparing to the book of Enoch as well as the end of The revelation. They will pour out God's wrath. Historical God's wrath is typically fulfilled through prophets. Also, it would make sense as John the Baptist proceeded Christ's first coming, 7 would proceed His second coming.

Rev 9:1 and the fifth angel sounded and I saw a STAR fall from heaven unto the earth and to HIM was given the key of the bottomless pit v2 and He opened the bottomless pit. So was it a messenger that fell to earth? A pastor? Or Stars=angels. All angels are ministering spirits. Plain reading of scripture defined by scripture. Also, why can’t the 7 churches be 1. 7 actual churches that were in johns time. 2. A representation of church types or ages. And 3. Churches right now.

7 churches represent the 7 nations. Gods protecting her and her nation Australia, church of Philadelphia. The Bride of Christ God’s Daughter is the female savior here to save humanity. DaVinci painted her The Mona Lisa. Calculate this year 2022 minus the year the 1st Mona Lisa died 1542, 2022-1542=480 years till the 2nd Mona Lisa the bride of Christ. This is the same amount of time from Exodus to the rebuild of the temple.
