Especially when he takes The Necronomicon, which has the same long charge but can only really kill a room of weak enemies. It might be that I underappreciate The Necronomicon though
On that note, the bible could help him considerably when NL inevitably ends up on the Depths 2 with 2 minutes left until bossrush windows ends. If he picks it he doesn't have to worry about mom refusing to stomp, he just has to press the space bar and walks into boss rush or the Krampus fight. The Necronomicon is good for big rooms of weak enemies which will typically take a while, but I personally feel the potential resources you can gain from the 1 room of flight outweighs it in terms of usefulness. Of course if you get an actual flight item then The Bible immediately loses all utility value except for the above case.
