I think it is getting a little better every day but I am now aware that if I try to do too much too soon that I could suffer a setback. Thanks Steve, yes, I managed to go shopping last week and stock up on nurse Ruby's sossidges, so I can at least afford to pay her for all of her hard work now 😂 Slowly getting better but it feels like it's going to be a long old slog. I got rid of it in 10 days ( or so I thought ) and the first day I felt ( more or less ) normal, I went and rode Buddy to Almeria and back. Apparently I wasn't healthy enough for that to have been a good idea ! So now I've had another 10 days of it, but fortunately really only a cough and a lack of energy. So it's bearable but it's annoying that I can't do much apart from sleep and rest. Getting bored of the couch and bed, after three weeks, I can tell you ! But the trend is positive. I feel a little better every day. Hopefully it is only a matter of time and patience now. Next week is looking slightly optimistic but I live in hope ! Thanks Peter. I think it's touch and go for next week. I am very slowly getting better every day but I know that the next relapse is just around the corner if I try to do something I shouldn't. I think I am going to have to be very careful for the next 7-10 days if I want to get over this. It's frustrating and of course it's costing me money because I can't work. But I am accepting it. I need to get healthy first. That's got to be the priority. Deal with everything else after that ! Thanks Scott and Wolfie, yes, will be coming into my fourth week soon although it's my own fault because after 10 days I felt more or less okay and decided to ride my bike for 3.5 hours in the cold, which probably wasn't the best idea. The following day it came back with a vengeance, so definitely my own fault and now I've had nearly another 10 days of it and it is only very slowly getting better, day by day. I will take it easy this week, in an attempt to be able to get back to work next week. It feels like that might be optimistic but we live in hope ! I feel you - seems like I just feel better and then BAM. Been happening to lots of folks, so it makes my tinfoil hat spin. I won't go into some of the theories, but please, rest and eat WELL. Healthy food is critical now, as so much of it is being poisoned with chemicals. We are using farmer's markets and growing some things here. Getting harder to eat well. And expensive. She understands that our walks now have to be shorter and that I spend more of every day in bed. She has adapted very quickly and she is definitely doing her best to help me get better asap. Well it's certainly taking a while. Will be into my fourth week soon and still coughing like a chain smoker. Only positive I can see is that it does appear to be getting a little better every day, so I am just having to be careful to make sure that it continues that way. I love riding, the feel, smells, views, it is so hard to cut out bits and pieces to make it something people would want to ride. One of the few over 20 minutes. Hi John, sorry to hear that you've all not been well either. Definitely a lot of germs about this winter, colds and covid it seems. I haven't had a jab since 2020 or whenever it was being recommended. I just think that this variant seems to stay longer in the body for some reason. In my case I was 90% healthy and decided to get Buddy's service done. The riding that day ( 3.5 hours ) seemed to be too much for my body to cope with and the virus was able to spread again. I think I just need to take it easy and wait to get a little better every day. I am getting a bit better every day but it is definitely a slow process at the moment. Once I feel better, I think I will have to take it easy for another 5-7 days, just to be on the safe side. As ever, I was just too impatient and too eager to get my life back to normal. Now I am paying the price ! Take care of yourselves and avoid other people's germs ! Garry & Ruby

Haha, indeed they are ! They also accept payment in awful economy supermarket "sossidges", so they come in pretty cheap as well 😂 She's doing a good job and is being very patient with me. She understands that our walks now have to be shorter and that I spend more of every day in bed. She has adapted very quickly and she is definitely doing her best to help me get better asap.

Well it's certainly taking a while. Will be into my fourth week soon and still coughing like a chain smoker.
Only positive I can see is that it does appear to be getting a little better every day, so I am just having to be careful to make sure that it continues that way.
I think if Buddy came over, Buddy and Ruby would be too busy playing to pay me any attention 😝
They'd be out in the garden, digging holes 😂

Yes, unfortunately the doctor situation in our village is a bit of a catastrophe at the moment, i.e. we don't have one ! But I try to avoid taking medication anyway, so I'm hopeful that I can shake this without, like I did last time.
Obviously, if it drags on for too long, I may have to bite the bullet and reconsider.
But currently, I feel a little better every day, so hopefully I should be over it soon.

I haven't been able to ride since the 4th of January but weather permitting I am hoping to have my first rehab ride ( and video of course ! ) tomorrow.

@@economicalrides Sorry ER could not figure out what you were asking. The video is just the ride to and from the dentist. I love riding, the feel, smells, views, it is so hard to cut out bits and pieces to make it something people would want to ride. One of the few over 20 minutes. But I do my videos for me, so I can go back someday and remember the ride.

She is being very patient and understanding. She spends all her time next to me and accepts that our walks are going to be shorter for a while. She really is a good girl and deserves a "sossidge". In fact, I'll get her one now !

I will just put out these little update videos if I have nothing else, just to let people know that I'm still alive and kicking. I worry that people will start to worry unnecessarily if I suddenly stop posting. That's why I prefer to put out a little update, if nothing else, just to keep people informed.
Still feels like I am a little better every day, so if I can avoid another relapse, I could just about be healthy by next week, I reckon 🤞

sorry to hear that you've all not been well either. Definitely a lot of germs about this winter, colds and covid it seems. I haven't had a jab since 2020 or whenever it was being recommended. I just think that this variant seems to stay longer in the body for some reason. In my case I was 90% healthy and decided to get Buddy's service done. The riding that day ( 3.5 hours ) seemed to be too much for my body to cope with and the virus was able to spread again. I think I just need to take it easy and wait to get a little better every day. I am getting a bit better every day but it is definitely a slow process at the moment. Once I feel better, I think I will have to take it easy for another 5-7 days, just to be on the safe side.
As ever, I was just too impatient and too eager to get my life back to normal. Now I am paying the price !
