I can't get over how much this thing sounds like my Ducati from in the cockpit. Not just the pitch and tone of the engine and the similar redline, but also the immediacy of the shifts and the unbelievable urgency of acceleration. The idea that there are now road cars that can destroy a superbike is mind blowing.

If you’re wealthy enough to afford one, surely you’d buy the AMR Pro version, which is a dedicated track car, and even faster. The standard Valkyrie is completely impractical for road use; you’d never get near a fraction of it’s performance and live/not end up in prison, so get the AMR Pro, and a Vanquish for road use.
can't take AMR Pro on the Autobahn, and you need to plan a track day for it. but basically yeah, pop your Valkyrie/AMR Pro on a trailer and tow it to nearest track using your DBX.

Great video, gents, I love it! At 2:49 you can see the active aero operating on the front wing. I am guessing Jethro just entered the track, as all six aero elements go through a full operation "self-check" at around 30MPH. Otherwise, the aero bleed-down is at 137MPH.
Jethro is an absolute legend, you guys should use him more for videos, the other guy is more of a clown. I remember Jethro taking the Koenigsegg Agera R out on a track in one video, and goodness, was that one great piece of footage, kudos!
I´ve had a ride in one of these and let me tell you, what they try to explain through words is only like 10% of what you experience in reality. This car is is going to be an timeless icon like the F1, F40 etc.
I think I put the F1 on a pedestal compared because of its racing achievements. I don’t think I will ever have the privilege of riding in any of them though lol. I am a fan of Aston it’s definitely right up there. I love the 1996 LARK GTR potentially my favourite car. I’m sure I read the owner used it regularly which I like

It's not a street car...nothing about it is street car...if you compare this to something like a Laferrari for example..you can still drive the laf like a regular human, whereas this car, you cant even hear yourself talk with all the noise (which is not only engine noise)...it seems to lack the refinement required to be considered a road car...whether that's intentional or not...this is definitely a track car with number plates & one of my favorite modern hyper cars period!🔥

Also if you go for a pure track car, you're going to need to schedule a trailer, tires, and maybe even a pit crew and there might be track restrictions.

Why does this car whine so much inside the cockpit? It does not sound like lovely, straight cut gears but more like an e-motor making weird, unpleasant noises. Also, you can barely hear the V12 inside the cockpit - sounds like someone is drilling the floor of the apartment above yours. Very surprised this was not tuned out of the car before release.
It'll take a fine set of speed camera photos to show in court before they burn your license and impound the car .... Right before your insurance and every other insurance carrier disowns you forever. Great car for UK roads.....
One extremely amateurish thing about this presentation was the dreadful sound quality. Haven't the production crew ever heard of highly directional microphones? In 1956, Mike Hawthorn was giving a commentary whilst driving in a Le Mans racing Jaguar D-Type (almost certainly noisier than the Valkyrie) yet 70 years ago, they managed to allow the sounds of the engine, without drowning out the driver's voice.
This looks like the ultimate test of petrol loyalty - if there was an electric version, same performance, same looks, just without the noise and vibration, would you really prefer to wear noise-cancelling ear-protectors?
That's a silly question. There are loads of people who would pick the petrol version. Just ask any guy who throws in earplugs to ride a motorcycle when they could be taking a quiet car.

I can drive anything on 2, 3 and 4 wheels and even tracks with a quick TH-cam video. Probably can take off fly a small Cessna type plane, now the landing part is a bit tricky I hear. This thing seems super easy to drive

Unbelievable. With their limited run cars Aston are building the most interesting cars at the moment. Just wish that translated to the more every day stuff that us mere mortals could pick up second hand in a few years…

This thing is like a modern-day Porsche 917. Extremely fast, incredibly loud, very scary, and absolutely lovely!

Serious question, how is it so heavy?! …it’s so extreme, there’s nothing to it, no practicality, no space… surely 1200kg DRY weight is heavy given that isn’t it?!
Other than I can’t afford one, I also don’t think I can fit into one. One review that I watched was done by a guy several inches shorter than me and he said he couldn’t comfortably fit into it.
I saw it broke a Silverstone record... then noticed the 'F1 for the road' was 30 seconds slower than the actual F1 car at the same time.
As insane as it is, it still has the constraints of a road car. An F1 does not

And they didn't even upload the lap video 😂🤣😂, I remember somewhere around in 2022 in which aston claims the valkyrie is capable of lmp2 lap times with street Tyres , I am not gonna surprise if the valkyrie project was loss for aston martin

Why does this car whine so much inside the cockpit? It does not sound like lovely, straight cut gears but more like an e-motor making weird, unpleasant noises.
Also, you can barely hear the V12 inside the cockpit - sounds like someone is drilling the floor of the apartment above yours.
Very surprised this was not tuned out of the car before release.
It'll take a fine set of speed camera photos to show in court before they burn your license and impound the car .... Right before your insurance and every other insurance carrier disowns you forever.

One extremely amateurish thing about this presentation was the dreadful sound quality. Haven't the production crew ever heard of highly directional microphones?
In 1956, Mike Hawthorn was giving a commentary whilst driving in a Le Mans racing Jaguar D-Type (almost certainly noisier than the Valkyrie) yet 70 years ago, they managed to allow the sounds of the engine, without drowning out the driver's voice.

As extremely fast and real racing oriented as the f1, sounds as good as an LFA, as noisy and easy to live with as my mother in law.

This looks like the ultimate test of petrol loyalty - if there was an electric version, same performance, same looks, just without the noise and vibration, would you really prefer to wear noise-cancelling ear-protectors?
That's a silly question. There are loads of people who would pick the petrol version. Just ask any guy who throws in earplugs to ride a motorcycle when they could be taking a quiet car.

@@grahamthompson5581 I wrench on airplanes for a living and ride to work everyday. So that's a solid yes. I like electric commuter cars and utility vehicles, but it doesn't compare to a spooling jet engine or motor sitting beneath/behind. I have a pair of earplugs on me all the time anyway.

I don't like the front and rear voees of the car. That massive venturi tunnels makes it look awfully tall with a massive ride height.
