I really love your outfits!
I love that every time you express dissatisfaction or kinda complain about something, you immediately follow it with “but it’s fine!” or “but that’s alright!”. I’ve noticed it in your other videos too and it just makes me feel like you are a really positive and optimistic person; certainly a great trait for a teacher to have!

Testing days/weeks always makes me realize how much we usually DO in a day! I don't like the quiet and boring days of testing! :)
9-11 is always so hard for me to talk about with my students... I always cry! This year, I found the BEST book called This Very Tree that brings a little more hope and joy to this heavy topic. There are a few other books about this 'survivor tree' (a true story) which are so cool to share as well.

Good for you to call out the negative people! I agree, don’t like it? Don’t watch! I would block them, you don’t need that kind of negativity. Keep up the wonderful work!
Last year the exact thing happened when I read 14 Cows For America...most of them didn't care for it. Then I read Fireboat and that went over much better. Oh, and another really good one is Seven and Half Tons of Steel about a boat's bow made from the melted steel from a beam of one of the Twin Towers.
I wouldn’t hesitate to read during writing! Integrate all the subjects you can! I agree, mentor texts are super important :)

Find comfort in the wonderful memories that you shared with your grandmother. There are those times at school when things do not go as well as planned. Give yourself time and grace to develop the stamina to get through the day. The first month of school is always draining because there are so many things to do and cover. By the way, Tootsie Roll Pops can be found in very large boxes and those last for some time. Take care.
