Similar thing happened to me also with a Delta 757. In 2022 I flew on N6714Q, a Delta 757-200, from Atlanta to Norfolk. A few months later I would just so happen to see it again at the small Bozeman Yellowstone airport, across the country from where I flew onboard it.
I flew a 757 several times with both TWA and American. I aways liked it. The First Class, pre flat-bed seats, transatlantic was great..12 seats, lots of room, comfortable, great service. Oh, the old days!
Did you know that there is a bus driver for Peoria Charter by the name of James Wang who has his own channel on YT? MotorCoach World, I believe is what it's called, and you may have been driven by him to your airport connection. :) Otherwise, thank you for reliving my memories of flying the DL B757-200, which will forever be my all-time favorite aircraft in the entire airline industry. ;)
Okay. I have to add that I love to see Sun Country airline videos! They seem to be an economical airline to fly. I’ve heard good things about them! Mark.
Yay - you got to fly the pencil... they are getting scarce. All the times I flew it... on takeoff it wanted to leap off the runway. It's a little rocket.
So true! I had mostly flown 737 A330 jets. First 757 flight, I had no expectations that this would be different. Was I wrong! Man, those engines were growling like wild beasts, and the plane sped down the runway like a dragster.
Sweet plane! The 757 is one of my favorite aircraft! Great video as always! I have a great Friend that attends ONU in Bourbonnais! I appreciate your videos! Mark in Iowa.
Thank you for sharing your flight.😊 I have always loved the 757s. Yes, terminal 5 is the international terminal in general that is why you see the other international airlines. But I take it Delta has gates there in the international terminal from the recent years of the O'Hara Airport Renovations. I have flown the 757s to Hawaii from Los Angeles a few times and that is very nice. And I have done the Transcon flights in the previous 757 cabin setup with former airline United.😊
Thanks for showing that ATL indeed has a few United jets. Every time I land into ATL, I never seem to find any United planes. Maybe because they are so far back in the T gates.
Nice and speaking of the DL B757-200 it's a B757-251 which meant it would have done NWA runs out of MSP and DTW the latter is in the Eastern Time Zone. Regarding the B757 fleet of DL is there a way to tell apart which one is a B757-232 from a former NW B757-251 or not?
That's correct, a -251. I flew a -251 on my onward leg too. There is no way aside from the registration to tell apart the -232 from -251. The ex-Northwest 757-251s have "NW" and "US" in the end of their regs while the legacy Delta -232's have "DL" or "DN". Some -232s have interesting numeric registrations like N6711M, N6716C, etc. These are all still -232s that were with DL before.
@@ASAviation Thanks for telling me about that. however for the A330-300s most people will know that NW endings on their registrations meant a former NWA plane same for the smaller A330-223s.
Nice man keep up da good work and I have a question do at ORD China Eastern use to fly there but do they still fly there because we haven’t seen passenger China Eastern there for a very long time
You’re chances were probably much higher than 1% DAL prob put it on the CHI-ATL route to have a seemless transition back to revenue service without a long relocation flight. Not trying to be annoying just think coincidences are super fascinating. Cool video 👍
That crap is falling apart, 28 year old plane still flying. Sure... the interior for the passengers looks modernized but inside it's all rotten and breaking down.

That’s really cool that you got to fly on the same jet you had just seen!!! Thanks for a thorough, informative trip report!!!
Indeed! My pleasure and glad you enjoyed.

Last Delta 757 I flew on still had overhead CRT screens. At the time I believe it was Deltas oldest 757-200 in service. This was in late 2000s
Coolest hydraulic sounds come from the the A319/320 with the barking dogs

super cool!
Cool! I've flown on the 757 once before in 2017, but I really want to fly it again soon!
I have had a similar albeit different experience with aer lingus. Back in 2022 I flew from ORD to DUB and back on the same plane, EI-GCF!

Good vid ,informative 757.200. 😊.
Huntsville!! HSV!! My home airport
I hope you're thinking about the Hawaiian 787 inaugural in 2024!

Of course, sadly it looks to be sold out or too expensive to book.

They do get quite a few AA and UA flights out of T that’s for sure!
@@ASAviation I also heard they renovated the United gates to have the same look and feel as O’Hare
Nice video
Il take a 757 whenever i can
I love flying it
Absolutely. Never gets old. I have yet to fly UA’s 757-300.
@@ASAviation you’re going to love the 753
Can usually rely on 757 and even 767 making ATL TPA runs.

Great video! What a coincidence! 😂

Thanks. No China Eastern has not returned since the pandemic
Of Course, so did they do cargo only service then? Do u think it will comeback?

did you see the MD83 in Champaign yesterday?
Sadly no I was busy. It’ll be back many times though since Illinois is using those jets for away game transport.
@@ASAviation nice
Why was Delta flying domestic out of Terminal 5?
Another person from chicago w
ive fueled this aircraft
