    hi. usually when a fragrance make your soap turn brownish is because it contains vanillin. to solve this problem you can add a tablespoon of vanilla stabilizer per 1 pond of melt and pour. thank for sharing your beautiful creation. I can't wait to try it.

    • @DeanWilson
      @DeanWilson  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I have tried vanilla stabilizer before but didnt like the smell. however with this fragrance it turned didnt the soap brown - so that was great.

    Oh wow Dean!
    I just think you are amazing.
    To do all this when you are in pain!
    How are you doing now?
    Thank you for sharing your excitement and thought process of creating with us. It’s fascinating! I do like it when you talk more, it’s like we are on the creative journey with you.
    😂😂 the Awkward Pause!! 😂😂
    Your sense of humour lol
    When you took them out the moulds I said:
    Yes!
    Ooohhhh!
    YES!!!!!
    I think that both soaps are perfect in colour and quantities for the styles of soap and the individual bars came out great too!
    I’d call the round one ‘watermelon crush’ or ‘watermelon muddle’.
    I’m so freakin’ jealous Dean!

    If you cut the metal bottom off of the Pringle can you can use the lid end covered in plastic wrap as the bottom... Then you can remove the lid and push your soap through without cutting apart your can. You might have to line the can with freezer paper depending on your recipe though.

    • @DeanWilson
      @DeanWilson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your need to melt it down to 135-145 F degree. At about 120 it will start to go hard and be very hard to work with, your might need to remelt parts again that are left in the container.

    I love listening to you talk.... you have a soothing voice!! I hope you are feeling better by now. Had a few root canals & I sympathize with you. I think the poppy seed mixture is great. If you make this design again, you could always leave just a small amount for the top without poppy seeds as the heart of the watermelon!! Both designs are great!! The swirls in the round soap are really pretty.

    Hey Dean, thank you for making this video while you’re recuperating. I hope you’re feeling better.
    This was a great video. I liked both. The round was a deconstructive watermelon and then the loaf was a classic design.
    My husband would say there is no such thing as too many seeds, so he would be thrilled with the loaf. I say seeds should be an accent to the design, so the fewer the better. So your two soaps make us both happy and two sales for you instead of one! 😂

    Deano, you always produce such wonderful content, whether you talk or not. You inspire the M&P community, especially in our Facebook groups. I pray for a speedy recovery for your tooth (root canals are no picnic) and imma make a watermelon soap now. And then eat a watermelon :D

    Those are Awesome!! I absolutely love the loaf bars and the more I looked at the round swirled ones, the more I liked their uniqueness. Do like the darker red, as you have found out through experimenting, each time is fun when you hit upon something really neat. I felt your pain. I had dangerous abcess and a deep surgery for it followed by crown. Won't bore you with the rest. Glad you are feeling better. Thanks for sharing.

    Love all of these; but the rounds reminded me of a lovely spring water colour painting. Something so soothing about that! I found myself happily surprised at watching a “M&P” and learned there is so much skill involved in achieving a beautiful soap in this medium. (No, not a soap maker-but would love to become a peaceful hobbyist). Thank you for sharing your work! PS. Root canals are a royal flush! Hoping you are well and feeling at one❤️

    Dean, I too like you have been through too much lately but enjoy making things so I keep making bathbombs. inmaking red, you mixed way more oink the first time. which is why you didn't get a true red. for the loaf it had to have been more even or more of the darker one. mad mica's voodoo makes a nice red in mp. if you order from there be sure to get a big jar of peacock and the true red set for cp. Please show how you make a round mold. pringles cans are probably easier. you can use a piece of pvc pipe from hafdware store. and length? and diameter you want. cheap. can buy cap for end if you want. be sure to line with the right kind of paper so the soap will come out. cp can take longer sometimes due to the self contained heat. PVC is probably cheaper than your silicone. hope this helps. love your videos. yes I'm "talking" to you in your video.

    Soaps are so beautiful, specially came from wooden silicone 1200gm mold. I already try your two styles out of three. I will try your round soap making style.. All are looking so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this video dean ji.

    When I first saw the pink with the black specks, I immediately thought it looked like dragonfruit!! Maybe that'll be your next soap! :)

    • @DeanWilson
      @DeanWilson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which supplier is that dragonfruit from?

    • @Waterflame
      @Waterflame 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DeanWilson I wish I was a soap maker, so I could tell you!! But, hopefully, someone else might know of something! I just thought the colour with the speckles of black looked like the fruit itself, and making it in the circle would make it look like slices of the fruit.
