Method Man gets into detail first about how he came to know Biggie before sneaking out to record "The What" with him. He then transitions into the story behind all the west coast circumstances that led to his song with Tupac, how he let Biggie know about it, and why Inspectah Deck was left off the track.

Kurupt has said Inspectah Deck was taken off the track cause Pac said so. He added that Pac “was just being mean.” Ha. And Kurupt decades later could recite Deck's rhyme-he did it on Charlemagne's radio show. I guess Daz was the one who kept little splices of Deck's bars on that record, unbeknownst to Pac. Deck killed everybody all the time! Nobody wanted that dude on a track.

Inspectah Deck's (deleted) verse on it though? I'd argue that that was just as good, if not, better. Meth's delivery was unique though, I loved every second of it.

@r Actually, Big was more of the storyteller. That's no shade to my favorite, Tupac Amaru Shakur. No question Big was more lyrical. However, I don't think that they should ever be compared. Two totally different artists. I miss them both. Pac was a poet whose lyrics touched your soul.

Inspectah Deck was also there in the incident too. He also had a verse on the song Got My Mind Made Up and so was Rage but deck said Pac took his and Rage’s verse off. Rage said Pac didn’t like nobody out rapping here. I think that was a bad move for Pac.
I hope this is over a hour long interview talib is on another level with the conversational tone of his interviews with legends....plus his research is on point.

At the start of his career he still wrote down some of his verses but as he progressed he mastered being able to lay down verses without having to write anything

m.o.p. was around well before 98. their first album to the death underrated classic and their second album firing squad certified classic. the jam mathematics featuring kool g rap one of the best underground songs ever. 3rd album first family for life had a bunch of bangers on it too. everyone remembers ante up and the warriorz album but they been putting down for a minute. top 5 rap duo's ever
