This is one of the side quests that made me think about how these characters have aged. They’ve grown, had children, had regrets, lost people, and are at the end of their stories. It’s somewhat sad but also hopeful. I know Kiryu is in Yakuza 7 but this game was really about endings.
So cool and touching to see this after playing through Yakuza 7 and finishing the Dragon Kart subquests. Things turned out pretty nicely for this family! I think Mr. Fighter regaining his confidence for his son's sake is a great inspiration to all struggling fathers everywhere.
seeing fighter's life is a rollercoaster: it's happy to see a 30 year old man entertaining kids with his heart it's sad to see a 47 year old man without a family, and a career destroyed by a mistake It's sad to see an 60 year old man not be able to talk about his past after throwing everything he had for his wife who nows denies who he was it's extremely satisfying to see a 60 year old man reliving his old golden years to tell his story and legacy of children's happiness to his kid, and create bonds with him
Damn, this substory hit me the feels... I can't imagine myself without my dad. Yakuza sure does know how to touch our hearts in every way, as with a son-father bound, a loved one bond, a brother best friend... This is why i love RGG so much.
The only sub-story that almost made me cry seeing the fighter being old not living his best life.but a very heartwarming story of how he used to be a good influence on kids.son wanting to talk to his dad more often.
Kiryu's probably been staying in shape by exercising regularly too, while Fighter probably lived a much more sedentary life after his Pocket Circuit days.
ccbib Well you can be out of shape and not be fat s'what I was getting at. I doubt Fighter's been hitting the gym in preparation for some tattooed douche kicking in his door looking to make a name for himself.
After finishing all the substories with pocket circuit fighter in Yakuza 0, I ended up growing to relate to him with how anxious I am in what the future has for me like how he wasn't sure if he should retire to work for his parents at a boring tofu shop or stay with the kids and enjoy his job despite his pay. This is one of the side quests that made me think about how these characters have aged. They’ve grown, had children, had regrets, lost people, and are at the end of their stories. It’s somewhat sad but also hopeful. I know Kiryu is in Yakuza 7 but this game was really about endings.
I bet kiryu spends his days at pocket circuit racers tofu restaurant when he’s off camera in 7
Fighter and Kiryu, KAMUROCHO'S UNSTOPPABLE MOTOR DUO
So cool and touching to see this after playing through Yakuza 7 and finishing the Dragon Kart subquests. Things turned out pretty nicely for this family! I think Mr. Fighter regaining his confidence for his son's sake is a great inspiration to all struggling fathers everywhere.
hearing that theme again and seeing his old suit HIT HARD HOLYYYY
Ah Pocket Circuit Fighter, the only friend of Kiryu who not only stood by his side and never used him for personal gain
But also lived long enough
Kiryu's an ageless wonder. He's superhuman. Just like Goku from Dragonball Z.
He’s Araki the living proof of immortality
@@hotto-dogu5829 i cant ecape jojo no matter where i go
@@theweedeater1842 spoiler:
Kiryu's stand is Seiryu the dragon of the east, and is tattoed on his back, also appear in Y7
Top 10 anime team ups
Damn nostalgia hit me so hard that I wanna see the Yokimichi Silvers back
seeing fighter's life is a rollercoaster:
it's happy to see a 30 year old man entertaining kids with his heart
it's sad to see a 47 year old man without a family, and a career destroyed by a mistake
It's sad to see an 60 year old man not be able to talk about his past after throwing everything he had for his wife who nows denies who he was
it's extremely satisfying to see a 60 year old man reliving his old golden years to tell his story and legacy of children's happiness to his kid, and create bonds with him
5:53 *Guy walking up the stairs* : Oh shit that kid is getting mugged I am out of here

“Ah, time to get h- whoops, main character’s in a cutscene! Guess i’ll take the long way!”
“Man you sure got old I didn’t even recognize you!”
Kiryu: *still looks the exact same after like 20 fucking years*
Was kinda hoping they'd reveal PCF's real name since this is probably the last time we'll see him in the Yakuza series.
Davis Bowe his First name is Pocket
Middle is circuit
Last name is fighter
Well, we know his last name is Fujisawa because the tofu shop is called Fujisawa Tofu.
Well I suppose the last name is a start.
nope, he's in yakuza 7 as well. his name is fujisawa, he runs dragon kart
Probably something close to Bunta since his successor named Takuma, Takumi Initial D's reference. My guess is Genta Fujisawa.
As a father myself, I absolutely lost my shit at the end of this story. Keep fighting, Pocket Circuit Fighter.
Damn, this substory hit me the feels... I can't imagine myself without my dad. Yakuza sure does know how to touch our hearts in every way, as with a son-father bound, a loved one bond, a brother best friend... This is why i love RGG so much.
Its Amazing how much I love pocket circuit fighter as a character , Kinda wish you could use his costume
16:18 is the moment i lost it.
I think that person is dead or in coma
Right? That death scream was so excessive lol
This and the fact that you can see Pocek Circuit Fighter in the Today is a Diamond cutscene are the little things that make me love yakuza
Man... I couldn't help but get tears in my eyes the moment the racing music started playing during that fight.
The only sub-story that almost made me cry seeing the fighter being old not living his best life.but a very heartwarming story of how he used to be a good influence on kids.son wanting to talk to his dad more often.
20:10
One of the best moments in the whole damn game
HE IS READY TO KICK ASS AND RACE HIS ENEMIES WITH THE CARS IN HIS POCKETS.
AND HE'S ALL OUT OF CHALLENGERS
I legit teared up when I saw him wear his old uniform.... WE LOVE YOU POCKET CIRCUIT FIGHTER!!
Only RGG can make a emotional and impactful side story about an NPC that helped you play toy car minigames
One of the best substories :D the feels!
Damn, he looks so old.
While kiryu......hmmm
Stkrdknmibalz kiryu is a god who doesn’t age
Kiryu's probably been staying in shape by exercising regularly too, while Fighter probably lived a much more sedentary life after his Pocket Circuit days.
Koleck Suneater fighter isn’t fat he just didn’t age well
ccbib Well you can be out of shape and not be fat s'what I was getting at. I doubt Fighter's been hitting the gym in preparation for some tattooed douche kicking in his door looking to make a name for himself.
living with a wife like that... can you really blame him?
After finishing all the substories with pocket circuit fighter in Yakuza 0, I ended up growing to relate to him with how anxious I am in what the future has for me like how he wasn't sure if he should retire to work for his parents at a boring tofu shop or stay with the kids and enjoy his job despite his pay.
Seeing him as a father growing a backbone for his kid rlly made me cry ngl
12:47 Sounded like he said 'daddy the f#@ker'
Hearing the pocket circuit theme while fighting made me smile
17:57
*THE RETURN OF THE KING*
omg they're even using the theme music when you pocket race! AH! THE FEELS!
This gotta be the most emotional substory in the entire series. Made me cry when i played it fr
26:53 That line read came from the heart
* *sniff* * I'm not crying... I just got track dust in my eyes...
Pay no mind to the unconscious guys in the background, guys.
RIP the time they met in kiwami
I actually shed a tear at the end of this like, unironically
Good ol' Golem Tiger. He's still kicking.
Fighter: “Wow Kazuma-kun! You haven’t changed a bit since I last saw you!”
Kiryu: “Uh.... You too....”
That bandana is the only thing that hasn't changed.
@8:18 Old Man: OH FUCK! NOPE.
I cant believe i didnt notice until now!
The thumbnail says POCKER CIRCUIT FIGHTER
What I like most about this is despite how old they both have gotten, Kiryu never calls Pocket Circuit Fighter by his actual name. He only ever calls him Pocket Circuit Fighter.
Respect to the name, baby.
What if that is his name now? After he became Fighter, there was no turning back.
