I've a 5 year old renault c range never broken a handbrake switch 🤷♂️ Oh and the gearbox doesn't go into neutral on mine at the approach to roundabouts must be a software issue on the one you drove

Both manual and automatic transmissions, you always say with certain trucks ‘the gear change could be quicker’ ... you haven’t driven an automatic premium DCi 😑🤢😂 Anyway, happy new year to you when it comes and stay safe bud ✌️
Remember few years back I talked to a Canadian truck driver who said he was a truck mechanic in Germany for many years before moving to Canada..He said you Americans should appreciate your trucks as trucks in Europe are junk..His words not mine..lol
Probably high mileage and whit the new environmental rules they need to be changed to new models. In UK by 2030 they will only allow electric and LNG trucks. Probably in Ireland will be the same and all over West Europe.

Let's forget about it
They drive well, but i dont like the cabine they are very small, i barrely fit in it because the seat is hitting the bed in the back. A daf cf superspace cab is a much better choice in this class tbh it has a lot more room also a 13 L engine option that comes with 3 stairs and a lower engine tunnel..

FH is the model not i-shift. it's the transmission system called i-shift.

back the late 90s just thought i would share international in north america made a 9800 flat floor cab over was a great truck

I know one is a Renault T460 4x2 Tractor Unit (Ex Sainsbury's) and I think it would only be fair to go for a Renault T520 High 6x2

I'd say the replacements would be DAF CFs or XFs, more Scania S Series Trucks, New Generation MAN TGX trucks, or Renault T Highs

One time I was driving T range with medium cabin. One time I was driving premium. I think premium more stable on road...

These Renault Premiums are Volvo chassis/engine, gearbox etc only the cab is Renault plus electronics where the fuel saving comes from.
