player did curse of strahd and now they are out in their waterdeep inn how can i add them in past curse of strahd world....why strahd didnt remember them?? any ideas....great videos timothy btw. thanks for doing this.
My pleasure! Thanks for reaching out!! One of the best things about Ravenloft is that the Dark Powers never let their prey go. Even if you kill Strahd, he comes back, and the cycle begins again. I would gaslight my party like crazy, and introduce them to as many characters they had met before as possible with each of them denying having ever met them. Work at it as if you were trying to convince the players that they never even played Curse of Strahd, and let them have unanswered questions about it. It fits the themes of CoS so well that it will just add to the ambiance.
On the contrary, I think having a random plot details generator in the middle of a Curse of Strahd homage is completely on point. The source material uses a tarokka deck to generate key plot details in the original, doesn't it?
Just to add another art miscommunication to add to the treant from your last video: in the Tomb, chapter 7 area T5, the description seems clear that the floor is covered in planking that the players must drink to bypass, but the accompanying picture just shows a cave with a few scattered planks of wood on the ground!
Gonna take the casino out of this campaign and put it in my own. It is gonna be levistus themed. I think i am going to change a few of the boss types. Any ideas? Otherwise thank you so much for these love every idea
The casino really is a highlight. It's fun. Switching it to a Levistan theme would be neat! I'd definitely drop the Abishai theme. Ice Devils, a fancy Levistan Tiefling, and Amnizu would all be pretty appropriate minions of the Lord of the Fifth. Good luck!
