“Did I finish this book or did this book finish me?” Mood.
MOOD
I’m so with you on Sanderson’s humor and Steris is totally my spirit animal. I’m trying to get to Oathbringer this month too but I had a mood reading binge and read 9 of the myth retelling books surrounding the Trojan War and the women’s perspective. Of those, Clytemnestra was the stand out for me. The book totally flipped my understanding of her. So well done!
oooh that sounds so interesting! i always want to get more into greek mythology haha, i know basically nothing 😭
I Love footnotes too! I am always for the lookout for books with them 😅
same!!! more books with footnotes please 🙏
Ok! Your review has me pumped. I'm going to read Dark Age...once I finish Gideon the Ninth. I'm like... 85% sure I'll pick up Dark Age 😂
just be prepared to slog for like 2/3 of it! 🤣
Nettle and Bone is great, I agree with Mara being a little naive but did love the characters T Kingfisher created - a demon chicken!😂 I have picked up A House with Good Bones but haven't got to it yet
there's a demon chicken?? say no more
I was meant to have a break from buying books but you really sold me on Nettle & Bone 🙈
haha yay! but also eep nettle & bone is not worth purchasing the physical book at full price imo, hope you can get one at a discount!!!
@@christeascozycornerYep eBay is a friend :P
I loved What Moves The Dead as well! I'm excited for the 2nd book to come out
I was able to get all of the Red Rising books signed from my independent book store. Super excited to start reading the series soon
aaaa that's so cool 🤩 i can't wait to hear what you think of the series!
I had a very similar issue, Anna Karenina was what I've been calling "the book that ate August" it took about 2 weeks to force my way through
kudos to you for finishing it though!!! that's a big one
i just got an arc for emily wilde and hearing you talk about it made me so excited to read it!!
WAIT YOU MEAN THE SEQUEL?
@@christeascozycorner no, it's the first one!! sometimes you can still request and get approved for an arc after the book has been published! as long as it isn't archived yet on netgalley.
last week i also got another arc of a book that was published in early 2022 😭 i'm just really happy about free books!
