  • Shut the front door - we've managed to upload another video!
    Carrying on from earlier this year, when we bought a OO Scale Model Railway job lot, we've finally managed to find the time to start sorting through it all and seeing if it works.
    In this here episode we start evaluating whether or not we got value for money with this little stash.
    First to come under the Microscope is the Hornby H-Class Pull-Push set, the Bachmann Blue Pullman, Hornby King loco and Hornby Bournemouth Belle set.
    Give it a watch. It drags on a bit, but hopefully you'll enjoy it.
    Part 3 will show up at some point. Promise!

    Welcome back guys, you certainly picked some intricate paintwork and lining to trash 😂 I hope Steve can sort that out for you. I love them 12 wheel jobbies but they are indeed expensive these days, it certainly was a win getting that set. Good to see some of your haul running now!

    Simply brilliant. Funny, real, light hearted. Model railways need more Bens and Bobs to inspire younger modellers. This is so good. Thanks for taking the time chaps; top class video making.

      We’re almost certainly model railway Marmite, but we’re happy with that. Too much stigma attached to the hobby, we’re just doing our bit to shake it up. 😊

    Giant farts of steam indeed on that misty early October Saturday morning at the Bluebell. Poor Blackmoor Vale in a bit of a state though, compared to the pristine Clan Line. Informative channel, definitely worth more than twenty quid. Hope you get around to making more vids when time permits. Enjoy the trains & all the very best!

    • @BlufferstoBuffers
      @BlufferstoBuffers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was part of a job-lot so wouldn’t have said we were ripped off. You could argue we got it for free if a few more of the bits turn out okay. 🤷‍♂️

      @@BlufferstoBuffers It's not unusual for DCC models to be a bit stop-start on analogue. I'm no expert on DCC but may just need a different chip or a stay-alive to sort it.
      There a re quite a few videos out there giving more detail by people more knowledgable than me.
      That king certainly wasn't a rip off, a lovely part of a great haul that just needs tweaking.

    That wheel cleaner is bloody ace! Great idea for DCC as you can't just shove a battery to the wheels like on DC to get them spinning for cleaning!
    And yes always when in doubt, use the smell test and give it a sniff 😁
