Probably 80s or 70s for most of that stuff. Really nice that your grandson is interested in trains. Maybe do a bit of a running session with the class 37, Hymek and Nellie? Seeing as you have so much track and lots of wagons now, you should be able to do some pretty lengthy freight trains!
Thanks for watching and commenting too. Always fun to get something working again. Sorry for the late reply, I've only just come home from long stay in hospital.
as you say, if you can get that HST power car running, then you have had a bargain. Even if you can't, the rest of the pack is great. Good luck with it.
That set from 1984 I brought one with my first weeks pay when I started with what was then the post office (Royal Mail ) as a postal cadet £110 a week good money then for a 16 year old ,I paid £20 for it ,£35 you’ve got a result .
@@padshawjunction. I know but once you start earning you can say nice I can have that ,my girlfriend called me a baby hehe ,lunch at macdonalds she was ok 😊and paid mum some house keeping those were the days mate and the Palais was a cheap Saturday night in Hammersmith 😊
By the look of the stuff most of it is Lima. Including I think the carriages. They seem to missing their coupling hooks. That should not be a problem as you can buy packs of them on Ebay for a couple of pounds. The HS125 power and dummy cars look like Hornby. They also do not have coupling hooks. But they are not missing. If memory serves me right they were never fitted.
Less tan $80 australian dollars is a bargain for all yoyou got as I paid $40 for just 1 sick loco/powercar but I got it going but is still not a good runner. Bargain m8. Cheers from John in Australia
So, yet another 10 minute unboxing video! Just how dumb can this society sink? Or is it a disguised channel for people with a bubble wrap fetish...........
Great buy at 30 quid :) the carriages and locos look in good form.
cheers from down under. Wally
Thanks Wally, hope to have a go at getting them running soon. Thanks for watching from down under ! 👍
Wow that was a great find!
Thanks Debbie, and thanks for watching and commenting too 👍
Wow 🤩 a fantastic deal, it’s a steal really. Beautiful rolling stock and tracks 👌👍🤩
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
Jeeze! Have you seen just how much it would cost just to buy those points? I think you’ve had a very good win.
Thank you, and thanks for watching too 👍
I think that’s not bad for 30 quid, especially if that HST works well. Those points will be OK to fix up and use in a yard 😎👍🍻
Thanks Tim👍

Great video and a decent deal. Hope you have a good day.
Matthew
Thanks Mathew, all rhe best to you .
I always like scouring ebay for retired cheap hornby models cause alot of them go for about £30 to £80 plus alot of them are boxed
Thanks for watching and commenting too. Always fun to get something working again. Sorry for the late reply, I've only just come home from long stay in hospital.
30 pounds is insanely good for all of this, even considering the damaged track and non-running HST
Thanks, hopefully I can get it working.

Thank you Alan 👍
£ 30 pounds, WHAT. the rolling stock would cost that, Brilliant job.
Thanks Tony, I think it was my lucky day !
Looks like the Hornby InterCity 125 set from the late 1980s - the power picks up from 2 wheels at the front and the opposite 2 wheels at the back.
Thanks for the info and for watching Jeremy.
That was a great deal for that lot.
Thanks Duncan 👍
