MIT really emphasizes teamwork and collaboration and a lot of your essays have aspects of your appreciation for teamwork so I think that could be a reason your essays work.

So it would be [780-800] for Math SAT, [730-780] for English SAT, and for GPA I couldn't find the details but I would guess 3.8-4 unweighted based on data from other competitive unis. Though keep in mind they accept many students with stats less than this, and more, so I would just focus on creating as good of an application as you can.

When you write, don't be fake. Just be yourself. You don't want to get into a college because they think you are someone that you are not. Write the way you have always written.

You highly underestimate yourself. Your topics that you’ve chosen to write about may have been a little.... questionable, but the execution of reasoning is beautiful. I can see how they accepted you. You talked about mundane topics and went in-depth to a point that it made them kinda interesting.
Same as me, the schools that accepted me (or gave me interviews) I thought were the ones I wrote bad essay on, because they were due Dec 1s (and by dec 15 for other schools I iterate my essays much better but none interviewed me at all). This is for PhD grad school. PS MIT had the toughest 5 interviews (but I passed!). PS2 Nina stands out because she is gymnastic at national level!
omgggg girl I love you!!! I was going through a lot of mental pressure writing the college essays because i felt like I needed to stand out, to write something deep and profound and meaningful so it shows im like a compassionate, intelligent, diverse(...? iguess?) person and that really confused & pressurized me a lot. I feel like i'm no longer me... watching you read and react to your essays really do help me feel understood and more confident about myself. i guess the whole college application process is like bullsh*t but im so happy for u to end up at such an amazing place!! fingers crossed for me
the most important rule of life may also be the most important rule for college application essays...do no harm...and your essays not only did you no harm, but they effectively presented you as a person who thinks about things other than just yourself...and this video will surely help other college applicants...which is in keeping with your personality that strives to reach out and entertain...your essays were real and believable as you knew they would be to admissions officers...the character you play in these videos is also real and believable...but i don't believe for a minute that you have now permanently deleted these essays from your laptop...because you seem to understand that all your videos have memorialized this time in your life for posterity...and the same is true for the essays that helped get you into MIT during that earlier time in your life...and btw, this video was one of your best!
