As a Finnish native, I'm astonished by your ability to understand Finnish sentences written or said in colloquial/spoken Finnish. It takes a fair bit of practice to do that if you're a non-native speaker. Keep up with the fun and entertaining content!
9:30 "kuuntele tuota kahta" (listen to those two) is exactly a way two old women would say listening to a two fools of kids or men, it is so hilarious from toddlers
In italy, cousin marriage is legal and accepted in certain regions but not in others. The practice was standard in Italian regions such as Calabria and Sicily, with first-cousin marriage accounting for nearly 50 per cent of all marriages in the 1900s.
It is also legal in Finland, but I have not heard of any firts-cousin marriages personally. Ofc that doesnt mean it does not happen but it is generally frowned upon...
Yes, it's a bit crazy but it really is legal to marry your first cousin in Finland. It's not exactly something that most people would do these days but there're always some who don't care about what other people think 🥴.
@@Kissamiess But cousins were not included in the people that you do "sukurutsa" with. In the olden days it wasn't seen very bad at all if you married your cousin. Especially if it was a second cousin. In some areas it was difficult to find a spouse that wasn't related to you in some way. That's why we have such distinctive genes compared to other Europeans. And why we have some genetic diseases that are very rare elsewhere.
Hahha I can’t that you reacted to this 🤣🤣😂 love it Also WOOOOW your Finnish is so good!! Wth your pronouncing- ::D I wasn’t expecting that!! Even words like ”ruotsia” and ”ä” and ”ö” like whaaat
It's not embarrassing at all. The "grocery store guy" is Evoluutiomies, one of the legends of Suomi Memes back in the day. "Lelutuokio" is his greatest works of art.

I hate how in Finland NOBODY cares about ANYTHING.
"Sukurutsa" has traditionally been a quite big taboo around here. Might actually be seen less disgusting in modern times than it used to be.
