That was good tribute. Remembering the man in a personal manner. Sad but celebrating. And also simple.
Norm was everything Seth could never be. Seth is the last person to say anything, good or bad, about Norm. Just shut up and continue with your sleazy corporate "comedy" show, Norm would never come to your show alive, now that's he is gone, don't even dare to use his name for your ratings. Thus is first time ever i clicked on youtube suggestion of Seth video, just to say this. TH-cam gets huge money to keep promoting this talent-less, sold-out chill, despite me consistently marking suggestions of his videos as Not Interested.
@Solitude Standing11 it was my impression, from watching interviews, Norm thought Seth was trash. And Seth proves him right every night with this political propaganda stuff that Norm would never have done. He was a real comedian.
Norm was a true legend and I'm so happy to hear everybody remembering him that way. He was always the most underrated comedian
I'm smiling reading the comments of people, who like me, loved Norm. He just thought differently and was hilarious just being himself. RIP Norm
But if you really wanna be REALLY funny…ask yourself “what would make SETH MEYERS laugh” - Norm Macdonald
Norm had this deep seated love and respect for his fellow man. There was a deep wisdom behind his comedy, but he always kept it thickly veiled. What a special man.
He was so well read and thoughtful too. Man, the world lost a great comedian today.
And because he was so wise, he despised Seth's weak "comedy". He actually was open about how much he hated all the sellout liberal "comedians" who thought Trump bashing was actual comedy.
@@pete6158 I know, I was thinking how Seth is the literal antithesis to Norm.
@@pete6158 Sad, sad boy. Please tell us a joke.
God: What are your sins?
Norm: I’m a deeply closeted gay man!
God: You’re gay?
Norm: IM NOT GAYYYYY!
God: I know the punchline, I just wanted you to say it in person! You’re in.
of course he's not, he has a dog house!
Gay as in "old english terms" => Having fun, - a good time...., "having a ball (XD )- the time of my life...
Larry King: We already went over this. He’s…….deeply closeted………right?
And this is how the news of Norm’s death was broke to me. Thank you Seth. That was a great tribute.
Norm was one of a kind, just a genuine, funny guy. The man just did his own thing, regardless of how popular it was. Even when the jokes were so so, his delivery always took it over.
He managed to magically turn the joke being so so into being the actual joke.
You know Norm was one of the GOATs of comedy, when people can retell his jokes and still get laughs. RIP Norm.
Butcher his jokes, but yes
Great way to remember Norm. Beautifully done. That abduction line is hilarious and quintessential Norm. We lost a legend. RIP
Too bad Norm hated Seth because he's not a real comedian. Just a pathetic leftist sellout.
I've listened to a lot of legendary comedians tell stories about Norm or fumble his jokes. My Seth Myers love came a little late, having spent Saturday nights in my 20s partying during your SNL days. Pandemic layoff hit me early & hard; I just became a Dad 5 months earlier. I mostly could never fall asleep. I embraced finally getting to watch you & Colbert every night. Just brilliant stuff. I always felt like something was missing never seeing him on your show. I really thought that one time your producer posted those ~1993 SNL getaway scanned 5x7's on Twitter followed by a brief Norm exchange was the ball rollin'. This tribute was perfect. The void is no more. Those were the best Norm stories, told exactly right. Man I'm stoked, even though I was just totally bummed. Besides spending every day w/ my daughter, your comedy has been the best thing about being a night owl Pandemic bum, and it's now the best thing to come out of losing my favorite comedian. Thanks, Seth.
❤
"Norm" the most ironic name ever...there was absolutely no one like him or his humor.
Good point!!
His name wasn't Normal MacDonald
@@Dinckelburg His name wasn't Absolutely Like Everyone Else Macdonald either
I used to laugh my ass off to Norms dry humor, I’ll definitely miss that.
norm was a masterclass in the driest, most deadpan humor next to stephen wright.
I loved his Burt Reynolds. He cracked me up! RIP. Classic voice.
I'll still laugh, but with a huge knot in my stomach. No one matched Norm
@@MiltonJenkins Oh no! You’re so right that although his videos will still make me laugh hysterically, there will always be that knot in my throat right after.
Norm is one of a kind, no other comedian does dry humor like him.
A wonderful, sincere tribute, Seth. I loved him on SNL, fearless. It must have been so great to know him and see him in action week after week.

Norm was not afraid to "go there" and he reveled in the awkwardness, discomfort, he often would place you in. But he did it with an intellect and almost empathy. That takes balls. And I'll always respect him for that.
RIP Norm.
The moth story is insane. A true comedic genius. A comic's favourite comic.

"Congratulations on winning the Heisman Trophy. That's something they can never take away from you. Unless of course you murder your wife and a waiter." - Norm at the ESPY's
I saw this video popped up and was shocked. Norm was one of the funniest people ever. I was just watching one of the SNL jeopardy skits where he played Bert Reynolds yesterday. Very saddened by this news.
Great Burt.
So sad to see he passed. He was one of the greats. 💔
I'm a Canadian boy, Norm
represented repeatedly to me, this country's comedic talents. He inspired a lot of great talent that followed in his footsteps.
Condolences to his Family, friends, many admirers and fans
Everything Norm said was a joke. He was relentless in his ability to stay on top of the conversation with jokes. Truly amazing individual that always made me laugh. Thanks guy.
His OJ jokes didn’t always land, but at least he took at stab at it.
Yesss! The true fans are leaving these everywhere and I love it.
His improv OJ jokes were his best Weekend Update material!
The OJ jokes did sometimes land with a thud. Though OJ always stuck to the point. Who wears gloves in LA?
I see what you did there. Nice.
Thank you for making me laugh through my tears. You killed it. ❤
He was spiritually close to me, his death made me sadder and closer than ever to cry since I lost family.
The world is slightly wetter without Norm's delivery, that is for sure.
🤣🤣🤣
Its a fucking tsunami. We've literally lost the best to ever do it, at least in my eyes.
We will have to all get used to life without him...ironically we'll have to get used to...a new norm.

I love Seth. He really helped me get through 2020 with his humor. It's really sweet he made this tribute to Norm.
Seth hated Norm and fought to get Norm banned and canceled. Seth isn't funny and he doesn't deserve respect for suddenly pretending to care about Norm now that Norm is gone.
