I haven't found myself in this situation, ever. With 195/65R15 on my VW Golf IV and now with 215/65R16 on my VW California I can take some potholes in the streets without losing my tires. Over 95% of the vehicles don't need low profile tyres, because it are just cars. They don't (need to) race on public streets.
Triple Bee Maybe you don’t focus on something as trivial as looks, but if you look at most modern vehicles, unless it’s for government, off-road or official use, anything with a rim diameter under 17” and sidewall profile of 50 or more looks like puke on a stick! The point of lower profile tires are to enhance looks as well as general performance and handling characteristics.
Then my cars look like whatever you want to call it. I know I don't pay the jackpot for the tyres and they are way more comfortable than anything with lower profile than 50. Let's face it: 100% of the time you drive your car you can't see your shiny 20" alloys, but you feel every bump and pothole. If you just buy such rims for your neighbours, that is good for you. I save the extra $$ for usefull items on my car. Things to increase MY comfort. Not the comfort of my neighbours eyes. Everyone has to decide for themselves what they think is important. The only times I had a flat tyre was because of screws in the tyre. Not from driving bad roads. And those I have already driven alot.
Which tyres do you recammend for bad roads? The roads are so bad in Turkey... I know, the summer comes and my words can be wrong to you but I think that winter tyres can be better for roads... Because summer tyres are not soft... Or is there any soft summer tyres? In michelin?
Это какая то детская яма. Им нужно придумывать диск который может деформироваться без последствий до ступицы колеса. У нас ямы рвут резину и деформируют штампованные диски... колеса 185\65 r15

普通のホイールだと道の酷い穴とかを通過するとホイールがもろに衝撃を受けてかけたりヒビが入ったりしちゃうけどこのホイールの場合サイドウォールが硬いゴムで出来てるから当たっても割れたりしない＝空気が抜けたりしないって事だね。

I have the stock OEM Michelins on my Ford, they have 105,474 miles on them. Best rubber made. But they cam be stupid expensive to replace
