    im listening to this with $350 dollar headphones and it sounds amazing. I hear a full spectrum of tone. I do not know what these comments are complaining about.

    I just got the limited edition 412 grand concert version of this few days ago. There's definitely more mid-range than low/high. And I find that okay since at church where I play, someone's on the bass and another on the electric/rhythm. I just wonder why this particular limited edition guitar is not on Taylor's website and the regular 412ce says its discontinued.

      Tone comes from the type of strings you use and what type of pick if u use one at all. Tone is not solely coming from the wood

      Yeah, I bought the 412cs Special Edition a year ago but was wondering why Taylor doesn't provide any information about it on their web site.

    Will be purchasing this guitar. What strings would work well? I’ve been using Elixir Nani webs on my Breedlove and while I love the initial sound, they lose tone very quickly.

      Not at all what this guitar sounds like in real life. Think this guy is playing on brand new strings that haven’t been broken in at all. Audio also just isn’t good in general if you hear his vocals, that room sounds like shit in general.

    What are the best strings for this guitar?

    • @longandmcquade
      @longandmcquade  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We believe you should try a bunch of different brands, gauges, coated/uncoated, etc. to find what's best for you in terms of feel and sound.
      Taylor uses D'Addario XS strings on their guitars from the factory, and we'd think that Taylor has done a lot of testing to determine that D'Addario XS are the best choice across their guitars for the average customer.

      @@longandmcquade Many thanks for the reply. I tried a Taylor 414ce-R in Andertons and was blown away with the voice of the guitar and how easy it was to play. I have since bought a second-hand Taylor 414ce-R (coincidentally from Andertons originally) but it does not quite sound the same and it is a bitch to play. It is strung with D'Addario XS 11's and the string height of low-E is 3mm at the 12th fret. I am trying to figure whether to restring it with D'Addario XS 10's or take it and get the action improved and restring it with D'Addario XS 11's again. I don't have anything to compare it with, hence my questions. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Mike, in Taylor Guitars comparison I feel like 400 series sounds not better as 314ce-k special edition. I have a 224ce-K-DLX special edition

      Uneducated musicians suck. You'd know the strings, crappy camera mic, type of pick he's using and lots of other factors can make it sound horrible lol turn your brain on. 800 series are known for being eh... That's why no one buys em
