- Voodoo KLR/m 4.75” Golds get mounted up on the High Trail. Amazing grip despite crumbling (literally) before my eyes.
I was shocked, but Ottsix told me its normal! (Sigh of relief, they are willing to sell me more).
In this video I discuss the KLRm tires, but also the High Trail build. Priorities include high clearance, high flex, mud/loose traction, predictable handling, all while trying to crawl rocks.
Anyone else experience Ottsix Voodoo tires crumbling? According to them it’s normal, no further advice, words, or justification given. “It’s normal”.
Normal within minutes/hrs/first run? Do KLRs disintegrate like these KLRMs? Are Reds worse?
Since Voodoos are out, what’s your idea for a 5.25-5.5” rubber that will last out here?
I'm running the 1.9 proline boggers which are 5.4 tall. I love them on my High Trail. G8 compound and YZZR on etsy has inserts, anti-foams, for this size
The KLR-M's are my favorite tire. I run them on my Trx-4, 10.2, and Capra. They have worked great in all types of terrain. 🤘🤘🤘 Subbed!!!
They perform great! I’m pretty nervous about the durability, but I haven’t written them off yet!
Thanks for the sub, back at ya!
@@PoleKat11 I have put mine through everything. The tread has worn some, but is still holding strong. The oldest set I have, I picked up in 2019.
Never tried any of them before. IMO it was the compound.. Thanks for the review anyway
They look, feel, and behave very much like a pencil eraser.
Yeah this is what I love to do, I hit the trails out in the woods I go to all of the nature trails. Some of the places I go have some of this roots through the ground but nothing spectacular Like this place
I got a set of tires just like yours on my gen 9 have had no problems tires still look like new after several batteries.
That’s good news. I was surprised (and happy) that my wear slowed down after the initial corner broke over. They’re good tires, and I think they even have a little better forward drive now than when they were new. I like that they can transition from loose or mud and still go to the rocks and grab.
Looking good
Thanks so much, love square bodies.
Yes it was it was beautiful
Thanks for catching that…. That rock is near the trailhead and the first one that I attempted to climb with these tires. I was shocked when it went up and so excited but I didn’t want to over react😂
They are nice tires, I hope they hold up.
First
Yes, first crawler I’ve ever owned or driven. My 10yo just got a UTB18 Capra, so they are multiplying already
