May sound odd but I was actually made happy when you made a mess with the gold😂 .... but then you cleaned it up right away. You're always so incredibly tidy. I can't for the life of me figure how you manage it when using resin. I very much like the new mold.❤ think I'd do the crystals purple like an amethyst and the rest like a rock. 😊 or maybe black then the purple amethyst.

Beautiful mold. So unique. Love the gold accents. However, I would brush the smooth part with a different color and pour a separate color to show off the druzzy part

You could make that look exactly like a geode or any gemstone. Put mica on the rounded part, then pour with transparent color. Oh the possibilities! Good one Julie!
Gorgeous mold. I would have dusted the druzzie portion with a color shifting mica for a geode appearance. But that's the cool thing about resin. We can all make things to our own taste.

Pretty. 🎉 How often are you changing your gel? As a nail tech we recommend you keep the manis for two weeks. If you change gel too often you can really damage your nails….

I’m glad I was wrong thinking it was an ashtray. (I don’t even know anyone who smokes lol) Looks great though Julie. I’d say blue or aqua would be pretty. Or pink.
I'd you want to add two colors to a mold with a really thin resin you can add a VERY SMALL amount of clear pva glue to each and it will thicken it up which should stop them from mixing together.
What a stunning mold. Love how it turned out too. Did the puppies scratch you? We have two kitties and it seems to be my default setting to have at least one scratch.
Love this beautiful candle holder. Would the heat from the candle hurt the resin or make toxic fumes. Only reason I ask is because I had one I put lit on my sink in the bathroom and it melted under it on the sink, left a bit of a hole. Lol
This is what I was coming to say. Resin should not be used with real candles. If you use Let’s Resin Magic Pour that is similar to resincrete, then real candles can be used. Resin fumes from flames are toxic. I would suggest a disclaimer on your mold that it should be battery candles or other materials. It’s a gorgeous mold. And so many possibilities.
What if you dusted the druzy bit with mica powder, say maybe a purple? The outlining really elevated it. Edit: This would be so cool in resincrete; it’d be like a geode.

Very nice. If you dusted/painted everywhere but the druzy you could have an opaque shell, and clear crystals that refract the candle light.
