Why I QUIT budgeting and what I now use instead.

When I first started working I followed the traditional mainstream finance advice. Make a budget, stop looking at your budget, accumulate debt, and wonder where all your money went.
After accumulating $10,000 of debt I had to take a serious look at why budgeting was failing me. Turns our 86% of people quit their budget within a month of starting! So why does major banks and finance keep pushing people to have a budget?
As it turns out I only needed to know a few key performance indicators to measure my personal finances:
- Income
- Expenses
- Savings rate (the difference between the 2)
That's why I quit budgeting and started using an automated cashflow tracker. I spend less than 15 minutes a month updating my cashflow template and you can get my free guide and Google sheet template for yourself!
