      Investing in the stock market has HISTORICALLY provided higher returns than other forms of investment. According to Morningstar, the average annual return for the S&P 500 index, which measures the performance of 500 large-cap stocks, was approximately 10% from 1926 to 2020.

    I saved 10k in 6months by moving back in with my momma
    Update: guys whatever your living situation is it doesn't matter as long as you're happy and the people you share with are aswell. Wether your sharing with your parents, friends, strangers or live by yourself. I could easily live elsewhere but I choose to help my mom by assisting with house bills, maintaince, cleaning and cooking. I don't believe in sitting on your ass doing nothing while your parents do everything for you, no that's not right. It's just a bonus I get to save money.
    I know alot of people are struggling financially right now and have no choice but to move back in with their parents house. that's okay!

    A great tip for food... reconsider the cost of the restaurants where your eating out. Ive stopped eating out on the weekends, instead I buy groceries and cook at home. Its been an overall more pleasant experience. I would get upset when I would go out pay high costs at restaurants and then got lousy service. Instead i cook on the weekends stay home eat in with my family and its great. I don’t deprive myself from going out... instead I go out to the movies with my kids and or for ice cream or a coffee instead... has worked very well for me

Also, simply cooking at home and using less electricity really saved me big bucks. I encourage everyone in a similar boat here to take an opportunity like this to save, because you'll never know when something comes up.

    I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Car or that vacation just yet and that mindset helps me make more money invest:ng. For example last year I invested 70k in blue chip stocks and crypt0 s (with the help of my advisor of course) and made about 380k, but guess what? I put it back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million. Delayed gratification always pays off.

    I recently made more purchases. Saving money for a market downturn is likewise a bad idea. There are numerous ways to look at recessions and depressions, we cannot always expect to make large returns, and taking chances is better than doing nothing. The bottom line is that you will achieve remarkable results by diversifying your portfolio and making wise decisions. My portfolio's raw earnings rose by $608k in just 5 months.

      Despite my confidence in your advice, my recent stock purchases, and the fact that I am an AMC shareholder, I haven't been able to accumulate anything. I had already been in the hole for too long prior to the downturn. What's the investing procedure?

    • @Adrianjacek-
      @Adrianjacek- ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AnnieBeischel I don't invest in a single fund because I have a range of jobs. I don't behave at all like that. My behaviour is modelled after that of Stacey Lee Decker, a seasoned financial advisor licenced by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the United States. My returns have since climbed swiftly in contrast to the IRA's gradual development. What I have is only used by her trades; very few truly specialised companies.

    for clothing something I always though went without saying but I guess most people don't grasp or realize:
    quality over quantity.
    1. You don't necessarily need a capsule wardrobe but you do want to pay more for high quality basics. Neutral palette or if there's color make sure it's a color that works well with your specific skin tone/temperature since that's something that doesn't change.
    2. thrift everything else. Not only is it better for the environment and cheaper but it forces you to think about what YOU actually like and your personal style vs what's on trend. Fast fashion is bad for the planet and for saving.
    3. take care of everything properly. Learn how to handwash, learn where the good (and good value) drycleaner is where you live for things that need drycleaning (and go to the physical place, if you live in a city try to avoid those ConciergeBoxes or Washboxes that many apartments have...they'll go to the same places but upcharge and hey if you go to the same drycleaner for years as a regular and aren't an ass they're an individual and might give you better prices anyway). But also just read the labels on all your clothes. If you have to make a chart for your washing machine or have separate laundry baskets to help...go for it, it's worth it. And always air dry! avoid the dryer as much as possible! by washing things correctly and air drying you'll prolong the life and quality of your clothes a ton! I recently sold a bunch of clothes for more than I probably otherwise could've gotten because they were in close to perfect condition despite being used a ton and being over a decade old (only reason for selling was changing sizes).
    4 but less important. it's helpful to stay in touch to some degree with what different stores/fashion labels in your area are doing business wise. Could be helpful to your investing but also just a good passive way to be aware of which brands are cutting costs in the quality of their clothes but keeping the prices the same. Where I live in the US a good example is J.Crew: growing up until about a decade or so ago they were known for having boring but great quality staples - middle class luxury: not really a designer but you pay a little extra for good quality staples that you'll have for a long time. Then ownership changed and they started getting trendier and the quality started to tank, but the prices stayed the same.
    5. re: washing your clothes properly. You might think you know how to properly wash clothes, but the dunning kreuger effect can hit us all...it sounds boring and lame but watch a youtube video or too or listen passively to a podcast like Spotless (not a sponsorship they just have good advice, it's passive listening, and good radio voices) to double check if you're really doing things right. This goes for most things though: if you do routine general maintenance correctly things won't fall apart as fast and you'll save more in the long run.

    Another great way to save money is to learn to be resourceful with your vehicle. Buy parts and install it yourself. For example, in BC Canada, a 200 dollar clutch can cost about 1200 dollars after labour. You can also save about 20 dollars by changing your own engine oil, and so on and so on. DYI is time consuming, but if you can swing it into your schedule, DO IT!!
