  • I don't mean to say that all the top streamers are struggling, I just have noted a lot of people claiming to be god tier at other games then struggling to have any success in The Finals. There's a lot of aspects in The Finals that players are struggling to learn and adapt to.

Finals isn’t complicated at all. People have lost their sense of objective based play because they perverted what COD and other games used to be about, OBJECTIVE. team wipes and lack of coordination are the only reason why a vet isn’t dominating and I see plenty of “vets” playing little builds thinking they’re going to be “movement gods” and get kills and end up being embarrassed

    • @nood1le
      @nood1le 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

That's why I always get first place on the leaderboard when playing domination on COD... because there's a lack of people playing the objective.

      @STARPHASE 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +26

Definitely. Every time I see a teammate try to solo a team, I know theyre just going to die. And sure enough, they do without even getting a kill themselves. They just think they can solo a team like in other shooters, but you can't...And that's why I love this game.
I love games where you can succeed without getting the most kills. It's what I love about the Assassins creed pvp. It's all about strategy. And in the finals, team work and strategy is more important than kills. I played a game recently where one team had like 15 kills each. They lost. Because despite the kills, they got killed a lot and failed to cap objectives.
People also seem to lack strategy for wins, too. Pink team has a vault already, and is capturing a second one to win. So the orange team and blue team should work together to take out the pink team, since the game won't end regardless of which of the two wins the vault. But instead, I so often see teams just shoot on sight. Like sure, orange, you wiped blue, but in the process you gave pink the win. Good thing you killed me while I wasn't near the objective.

There are so many more variables that come into play in this game. There’s no cracked movement (outside of the light quick dash), cover is destructible, there are multiple different damage causing throwables readily available, there is almost always multiple squads on objective, teams can shield, heal, and shoot back at you all at the same time, among many other factors. The fact of the matter is that there is so much going on in the game at all times that even seasoned FPS veterans are struggling to learn such complex combat mechanics because those mechanics aren’t required in most other games. The finals has a very unique combat system and is unlike 99.99% of all other FPS games out there.

I would agree with you about most of this but I disagree that there isn’t cracked movement, just less macro movement tech spam like apex. There are so many different ways for medium and lights and even heavy’s if you know what to do and learn. Putting a jump pad at an angle, learning the proper curve for the grapple, along with jumping off a zip line right before it would knock you off giving a massive speed boost, bunny hopping with high velocity, the list goes on. The difference is that the movement in the finals has to be learned and you can’t just activate some niche glitch to cause your character to go flying (aside from bugs and unintended interactions) unlike apex. But I absolutely agree with you, this game requires an extra level of thought in everything you do.

For real bro, I adore this video and your mindset, it is a wonderful example of how all gamers (especially FPS and competitive gamers) should think and the overall mindset that should server as a foundation for each player, it would completely change the gaming world and bring everyone's full potential out. Letting the genuinely best players rise to the top, not just those with best muscle memory or the ones that use easy loadouts to compensate for lack of skill (which would not work when used against players that actually use their brain when playing.)

    • @TheTensaiRonin
      @TheTensaiRonin 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Exactly, it is for these very reasons that the games (and the subsequent game company) I make will ALWAYS have offline (and online when possible) play but will by default be offline and the games will NEVER be online only, even in games that have wars like if the match does not stop after you log off but other players also keep playing and you can return until the battle ends to keep fighting and help your team win for massive rewards. My games will ALWAYS be offline as a foundation even during online focused games there will always be at least one feature or mode of the core game that can be played solely offline for as long as the player owns the game, which brings me to my next point. The company will also make a launcher that lets the player actually own the game (legally more than likely) so it can never be taken away from them.
a launcher where other approved companies (kinda how steam has) can upload their games to the platform and get 90% of the sales for the game where 10% goes to us. All games and dlc will be screened so games without honor or dignity (including cash grabs like mw3) will not be allowed on the platform. Kinda like a sanctuary for gamers and devs. A place where the "suits" of any company wont exist but will be replaced by gamers that are passionate.
Granted this will take time, personally I will start with making a VERY GOOD AND DETAILED free to play roblox game(s) (probably an fps first then rpg) and use the money from that to further the project of the company. Having everything possible of our creations owned legally by us (And helping other devs that are on our team and mission or who want to add a game to the launcher with making their content legal so they are not taken advantage of, especially by big corporations that try to pick on the little guy normally unable to fight back).
Then once that kicks off (Which everyone that helps with the creations of our company's games (be them directly part of the mission or a contracted helper) will get a portion of the game's income/profit after costs, be able to get a specific amount, or/and be paid for further work on the game. All relative to the % of the game they create/help with and the actual work/help they contribute.
Starting out with "volunteers" (who more than likely if possible will get a % of the game's profit after costs) and those that help with more than one project will gain more than those just starting that way we can reward those that stay with the project/company/mission of our vision for a better gaming work and experience for each gamer involved.
(This increase is more the more you help the company create it's content and will NEVER be based on age, sex, race, or anything else. ANY discrimination or toxicity of any kind will NOT BE TOLLERATED and if the actors involved are found guilty in doing so they will be kicked immediately, more than likely losing their name in the credits of that game and their work being removed from that project(s) they have worked on.)
The content our company makes will always be heavily influenced and impacted by the community and the passionate gamers within it. Many game features, additional content, or whole projects will normally be directly from or inspired by those in the community. We will always give credit to those community members and even the people that help us even if not directly, for example those that volunteer their education, knowledge, or/and experience(s) with us, normally helping our projects and those working on it in one way or another.
These credits are normally going to be what we call "side credits" where these helpers or those that originally suggested an added idea will be listed.
Our income model will be based off COSMETICS ONLY with nothing even giving boost to things like exp, currency (for non cosmetic items) or anything else. The only things that will be offered in the store of our games will be cosmetics, and anything else will be things as such. All players will be at the same level regardless if they spend money or don't. The only difference will be the optional cosmetics they spend money on.
We plan on replacing all the current gods of their genres like WOW, COD/Battlefield, LOL, NFS, and so on.
Our content will be entirely original, even parts inspired by concepts of others will be reborn with our mission and style, doing the very best we can to make everything in the experience our own content and systems.
Giving back to players even the free ones will also be important, we will be giving out a LOT of codes, giveaways, and other things for the games we make/support.
We will have the community involved as much as possible for our projects, be it events for drawing/creating a character in a game, their passion skills or voice acting and so on, or/and things as such.
WE WILL NEVER PARTNER WITH ANYTHING/ANYONE WE DO NOT FULLY SUPPORT!
We will never accept any partnership or crossover of any kind from a company that does not put players first and does not value and respect them, their community, and their staff.
Companies that do disgraceful and deplorably dishonorable things such as Riot, Activision, Tencent, Dice/EA, Epic, or any other place as such will NEVER get our support, promotion, or ANYTHING as such until they both fix and heal any harm they have done to both the players and staff while holding those bad actors accountable and also show a genuine change for the better in their actions both in their treatment of their community and staff in addition to the content they make and related partners make. WE DO NOT TOLLERATE COMPANY OR COMMUNITY ABUSE AND NEVER WILL!
The core of our mission is to do a few things.
      1. Be a sanctuary for all genuine gamers of any kind. Be them casual hardcore.
      2. Entirely eradicate all (or as much) toxicity, bullying, and abuse between gamers, the companies, and all involved and prevent it for the future, so our comminute as inviting, welcoming, and safe as possible for all involved.
      3. The player's experience always comes first, money will never be a main priority for our company. The player(s) and community experiences and wellbeing will always come first, regardless the cost to us.
      4. Recreate the gaming community to what it could have and always should have been.
Even if we need to replace all the main games and companies that are on top of the industry we would ruthlessly and happily do it for our gamer(s) and community and all genuine non-toxic and honorable gamer(s) and communities everywhere. To serve as an example of what this world can and will serve and what will happen if you ever lose sight of that and abuse your gamers or staff or do not hold those you associate with accountable for their dishonorable actions.
      5. Creating nothing but the very best experiences for those involved in enjoying our content or/and those within our community or gaming as a whole. Experiences that will last a lifetime and ones you can always return to at any time to reenjoy the past experiences while also making new ones, be it alone, with friends, or any way you wish. Knowing that you will always have access to these wonderful experiences and never needing to worry about anything our company is involved in making (to any degree) ever putting anything but the wellbeing and happiness of our community first. Never worrying about Pay 2 Win or any other form of exploiting or abuse to those supporting said project or company. Knowing they will have the option to switch over from their favorite game if the owners ever decide to abuse their power or take advantage of them and having the option to play a game of the same genre/type with similar but unique and more enjoyable and secure experiences, this includes but is not limited to preventing and punishing hackers and exploiters (including bots) of any kind. In the most extreme cases sharing with the community the actions of said cheaters so everyone is aware of all the disgracefully dishonorable actions they chose to make to the community, it's players, and themselves.
(Keep in mind we are not referring to doxing, simply to addressing these individuals and their harmful actions so others are aware of them and they get exiled from the community for trying to abuse it.)
There is a ton more that we have planned and as I said it might take a long time but will be making updates as time goes on. It starts on the first of next month. that is when we will make a discord and so on and start the beginning stages of our games/the creation of our company.
Always open to ideas and feedback, be it respectful criticism or enthusiastic praise, the community's word(s) and voice(s) mean very much to us and we want to improve as much as possible as time passes, that is the only way this company will become the sanctuary for gamers.
I know this was very long but I wanted to let you know that there is plans for things to get better and for a new standard of dignity and honor to be set and to ensure people know justice will be served and things will get better.
For anyone wanting to be a part of this project please comment below, I plan on adding the info about the company, it's community, and projects below once they are up and ready to be joined.
We accept everyone passionate about our mission, regardless of their skill level, experience, or time spent in playing, making, or running games, communities, or/and companies.

Subbed for this video. You clearly have an understanding of this game that I've been waiting to hear. You see the layers that this game has to it and how much pure complexity exists within it.
People are currently attracted to the simpler strategies, only because they are simple and easy for someone with only so much time in the game. But with time, I'm sure that more overlooked strategies will come into their own.
    You've reassured me in my commitment to always be experimenting, trying to learn the ins and outs of this game;
But I think I will, ironically, listen less to content creators. People like you aren't so quick to try to boil the game down, but others insist they have solved The Finals, and for those people I have my doubts.

I am going to try my best to keep learning this game, i have a like 6 page spreadsheet on all the info i have gathered on the game and i add to it all the time, change it all the time. keeping an open mind is like the biggest hurdle for some people i swear. everyone keeps claiming that certain tactics are either overpowered or underpowered, then i test everything against it and often find i can either counter something or make use of it, even tracking dart, a gadget everyone thought was the worst, is now being used by top players on occasion and seeing great success. I even have to rewrite my scripts for my videos all the time because my opinion changes day to day. I may even look back on this video thinking I was wrong, but thats the beauty of the game and I intend to embrace that and keep learning and never get stagnant in my mentality

I have a lot of friends that are just stuck on COD and cant play any other game because they have a run and gun mentality and nothing more. Shroud said it best, COD brain.
But i keep telling them that it is a plus to have the slayer skills but now you just have to think a bit more critically due to the Environment, Gadgets, and diffrent classes.

Playing solo queue in tournament and ranked tournament a lot I so often see my team mates just be kill hungry when it's actually to our disadvantage to be hungry for kills. By doing so we let a team that's just as good or even better continue to be competition. A little tip for people that play quick cash, a similar strategy can be used if the winning team is about to win and you see someone from a different team going for a clutch steal to extend the game, let them steal it so that you have a chance to come back later. Killing them only leads to you immediately losing for preventing them stealing from the opposing winning team.

btw, it doesn't make me happy to say that at all but the fact is a lot of good games die or are on their last legs because no one bothers to play them despite "liking them" really grinds my gears as ill usually find out about the game right after it dies or just before and wonder what could have been(except for hyperscape, I will die on this hill that that one wasn't actually that good, even so despite my despise for it, it didn't deserve to go out the way it did especially since ubisoft had previously ate the cost for r6 to succeed and they couldn't even bother to try and get hyperscape out there more?)

Maybe even in our lifetime we will see a game that feels as smooth to move and control like that in cod without all the floaty unrealistic movement and so on, such as animation canceling and switching weapons taking less that 3 seconds (even with the "heaviest" and "slowest/longest" in cod switches as if you were on crack cocaine.)

The only gripes I have is the rpg 1 tapping lights, it should definitely leave us at 1 hp, plus the Lewis is way to overtuned, to the point that it's kinda feeling like the best of all worlds for heavy, and I think the heavy should excel up close and struggle abit at range rather than just having the best gun in the game, so just nerf those two things slightly and heavy would be perfect I think.
Med is honestly perfect, I normally hate turrets in games but this one is counter able by getting behind it or you can blow up the floor under it to get it out of your way without even needing to look at it.
And light shouldnt have so much invis, I wonder if the devs would consider removing the special entirely and add a self heal that boosts speed instead, than all lights have invis just they gotta give up a gadget, or they gotta remove the gadget, having that much invis is abit much I think, and invis is just always such a pain point regardless of the game and i really dont wanna see this game struggle with that, it's just such a pointless thing to struggle with as devs, most people dont like invis and while I think the finals has done invis fairly well as it's only onna 150 hp target and to get the good version of invis you gotta give up movement but running invis special with the nade makes you unable to even be seen outside of your invis for an entire game bascially 😂

Most of the tournament wins I have had have come from either all Medium or 2 Heavys and a medium.
I just hope they bring more maps sooner rather than later, I can see people getting bored in a month or 2 if nothing new is added.
As a side note it would be nice to be able to use the game credits (VR`s) on something as once all the weapons, gadgetrs etc are uinlocked they become pointless, even its 60k to open up a specific weapon skin or something.

However, when I’m with my group of friends we seem to do relatively well most games. The last ranked tournament we played, the last match was against a MMM team all using the FCAR. It was very clear they were WAY better at FPS games than we were. Their aim and positioning was spot on. Despite this, we still ended up winning the tournament simply because we had better game IQ. We would lose fights but held the cash outs way better than they did. It makes the finals a game that any skill level can enjoy.

You win by having 3 people shooting at the same person. It doesn't matter how good you are at this game, nobody is good enough to survive 3 people shooting at them at the same time. That is what you encounter at higher ranks. 2-3 people shoulder to shoulder.

i started out playing the light because i assumed that was the role built around getting kills and taking fights over using utility, which is usually what i play in other games with my same teammates. we also assumed one of each class was the idea lineup. taking 50/50 gunfights and hitting all headshots but still getting dropped by heavies due to hp mismatch got extremely frustrating. switching to the MMH lineup lead to much more success, the guns and hp pool are just so much better on the medium in most situations when it comes to taking straight up fights or full on team fights. don't feel that much of a loss from losing the light utility, and gained a ton having an extra defib. i'm sure a ton of people are in this same position in their squads, so that might be the change needed to start doing better.

You can’t bring your skills from one game to another. This game truly reward you if you use the sandbox environment well. As well as everything has a counter. Yeah, there’s broken things in this game but you could actually counter it. For example, a lot of people don’t like invisibility you can use thermal vision, sonar grenades, recon, senses, and you will have zero problems with these invisibility people.

The biggest issue I've seen is exactly as you stated, too many light players don't know how to run from a fight. Run, heal up a bit, then circle back with your team or push if you can break the team up with your gadgets and get the odds more in your favor by taking them out individually. I myself have caught myself in too many situations where I'll get a player down to a sliver of health and then get tunnel vision and chase them only to run into their whole team and cost us a team wipe. Poking the bear and utilizing your gadgets is key!!!

I come from mainly TF2 and MC background and it is wildly difficult to adjust to this type of combat. i also dont play nearly as much as i used to, but the movement mechanics are much more numerous and complex than tf2, the maps are nearly as moldable as in minecraft, only much faster with building and destroying, with huge chunks of the map being able to be altered in an instant way more than R6 or MC, and the gear/ utlity options wildly outnumber both, which makes for just an absurd learning curve. Besides all of that, the game is so integrally reliant on team play, coordination, objective focus, and changing entire game strats in an instant, I believe way more so than any other game on the market (R6, OW, TF, CS, really anything i can think of team/ objective based shooter oriented) any of these games you can win reliably with shoddy teamwork against a more coordinated team if you’re good enough at FPS type skills and arent totally ignorant of teamwork, but in the finals i find thats nearly impossible, a coordinated team will nearly always beat better fps players who dont work together smoothly

to add to this, as a college student with very limited time to game, it almost turns me off in the same way fortnite does with needing to spend all this time learning totally foreign mechanics and gameplay. thats not to say that the finals or build mode in fortnite is bad, i think theyre both incredibly innovative, but it breeds a highly competetive player base with not much casual play due to immense skill gaps within key mechanics. that being said, i absolutely love fortnite zerobuild, and even though I have way more experience with pubg and warzone, which are definitely way more refined pure shooting battle royale games, fortnite is what my roommates play so when i play with them, its really nice to be able to keep up and contribute without pouring time into climbing the learning curve of a completely foreign mechanic. maybe the finals could implement a sort of watered down, streamlined/generalized gameplay because the cashout objective is a really unique centerpiece to the game, and im excited to get more experience with it, i just feel i wont learn movement/sandbox/utility to the extent i need to in order to play the finals at the same level i played TF2/CSGO/OW/PUBG/MC/R6, ranging from high level comp play to just being able to competently play the game casually just cause im older and dont have every day after grade school to hop on a videogame

As someone who was near pro in apex and played against many of the top streamers, this game funny enough makes me tilt way more. Teamplay is a MUST in this game. If you solo or duo and get a bad teammate you absolutely WILL lose a tournament. You have to focus fire opponents, catch them off guard, or use utility because winning a 1v1 in this game is atrocious due to the extremely long time to kill with almost every weapon except the hcar. You can't just hit a couple shots and swap weapons, and there's no secondary ready to go if you have to reload (unless you run heavy's rpg). Environmentals, map destruction, and area denial utility is incredibly strong, while conventional staples like frags or flashbangs are often high risk. Everything has a direct counter, so you almost have to run rock paper scissors in the back of your head while focusing on wiping enemy teams. Because of all that, the learning curve is high, with an even flatter plateau between the top players since even conventional skill like aim or movement tech won't save you from getting cheesed by an unexpected nuke. Also, if you're playing tournaments avoid light in general, but especially don't use snipers. Trust me, you're not him, and you make everyone else despise your uselessness, not to mention the crosshair inaccuracy.

The Finals has all the features of a game like Overwatch that I enjoyed but which were gradually phased out in favour of straightforward and less strategic/tactical/objective gameplay. It's been so fun to outplay people in this game by being creative and resourceful. These players expect to win the game just by moving around fast and dumping a magazine into someone, but The Finals rewards you for playing the game in unorthodox (and equally if not more skillful) ways.
So many weapons and gadgets are underrated, such as the riot shield (extremely good against the medium heavy hitscan meta when you learn not to brace with the shield but always sprint), CL-40 (massively slept on), sledgehammer, goo grenade, tracking dart, vanish bomb, grappling hook, flashbang and more. Not to mention the BARRELS LITERALLY EVERYWHERE.
I think even without a balance patch (though I expect one soon), we could see some pretty significant changes to the meta as people learn how to counter the current meta. Just like Overwatch has poke, dive and rush playstyles, The Finals will also have multiple viable playstyles, currently the only one the community talks about and plays is this poke meta. I suspect we will see a similar thing happen in The Finals, perhaps as a divey/rush comp with riot shield as the initiator and a flanking light with perhaps even a heavy focusing on destruction and splash damage. We could also have a light providing sniper overwatch with a medium-heavy on the objective playing their lives and helping the light get angles by opening up walls or baiting enemies to fight in the open.
The best composition I've ever played was also a LMH - invis xp54 light, medium riot shield healer and lewis gun shield heavy. We won every ranked tournament in a like 5 hour play session, unbeatable. If there had to be any meta I hope it becomes LMH.
And hot tip because people really need to learn about the riot shield, it hard counters everything in the current meta kit for heavy: shield blocks all RPG and C4/nuke damage (direct hit and splash damage), mesh and dome shield mean nothing to me, blocks lewis gun and heavy shotgun (let them dump their ammo into you and wack them during reloads or between 4 round bursts in the case of the shotgun). The trick, however, is to never brace the shield with alternate fire, since it still blocks stuff when it is on the left side of your body you can sprint in a counterclockwise circle around them while they shoot at you, or sprinting diagonally towards them also blocks everything.

The only thing that really has 0 counter play is getting hit with the stun gun while running melee, not being able to use abilities to bridge the gap and being reduced to a snail’s pace results in an instant death 100% of the time. I get that the stun gun is supposed to be really strong against melee and that other classes get more consistent insta kills (see heavy’s nuke) but it feels like one of the only ways you can die in the game that doesn’t feel like it could’ve been avoided. But it should probably not be changed, I’m just ranting.

I struggle with spray patterns, and how to fill the role my team needs as a solo player. I get the objective part, i'm not crazy about getting kills, i'm about the objective just suck at the killing and decision making part

there are ways to play around the lack of aiming skill, heavy with nuke n rpg, setting up defenses so like barricades, shields, or as a medium use heal and tracking dart, maybe sonar grenade, defib, aps turret etc etc just make it easier for your team to kill, assist them and play off them.

I don't know how anyone else feels but my friends and I struggled against light players with their invis and stun guns. Sound cues are not dependable, and when their silhouette are much harder to see compared to invis during beta. But boy oh boy, when I remembered recon sense and sonar grenade existed, our games are more enjoyable.

The c4 is certainly powerful, but saying the APS can deal with nukes is really situational, as it needs direct line of sight on the C4 to destroy it.
Along with that the c4s explosive radius is larger than that of the APS's range, you would have to play on the opposite side of it to work, being useless in the open, being best in confined spaces which are also where nukes work best, as well an APS is just in general very inflexible with how you can play with it
Countering nukes could be done through shooting the throwable, but they typically take more shots to detonate, since C4 is a smaller hitbox than mines (shooting a throwable with mines on it will detonate them no matter if it hit the mine) as well as fire barrels goo barrels or toxic barrels are much more tanky than other throwables
however a good heavy will just throw the nuke right at you when you are in view (or play in a manner to be undetected until right on you) and with their improved throw range/throw speed makes it more unforgiving
The best option for dealing with nukes is being able to snipe nukes with grenades, but it requires a good amount of game sense/information to pull off successfully, and really only works on lower skilled teams
TLDR: the skill/gadget requirements are too specific/unrealistic to fight Nukes effectively
You will lose one of or all of your teammate to one when its in play unless you chose to cripple your teams flexibility in a position based game
