    I have never been a Breitling fan. In fact, I would go so far as to say I hated the Brand. This is one piece from Breitling I would buy. They go everything right about it….perfect size, interesting color, great movement, and a nice balance between subtle and showy. Home run here!

      Well you shouldn't hate them, because they have some of the best executed dials/cases in the game, IMHO. Also true for IWC.

    A few days ago I saw one of these "in person" in a shop in San Francisco. It was stunning. Photos and videos don't do it justice. It's a real piece of kinetic art.

    I have 3 Breitlings but when I saw the episode you did with Kevin I was instantly blown away by this watch. Breitling's problem of late has been that they are a bit hemmed in by the iconic nature of their mainstay offerings. This watch is fresh and gorgeous and blazes a new and compelling path for the brand. Thx for bringing attention to it. Another great video.

    I own one, and I absolutely love it. It was wildly expensive, but less than a Rolex. I swapped the strap for a bespoke, Combat Straps, cognac ostrich with matching green stitch & leather underside.

  • @andreaiacolina

    If I should buy an expensive chronograph, this one would probably be my choice. The color of the dial is simply stunning and the movement is a work of art. Beautiful.

    I find this particular Breitling watch to be quite attractive and particularly tasteful in execution… I like the pistachio as it is called shade of green for the dial… Definitely aspiring to the Breitling brand myself eventually and I like seeing this degree of variation. It makes me more excited to have many choices when I graduate to this level of watch eventually.

    I've loved this watch since its release a few years back. And you're right, it doesn't fall into the typical Breitling category because its not a gigantic, gaudy, garish watch. Bravo Georges Kern

      What absolute garbage. They 'used' to be mediocre with valjoux movement, then finally made their own B01 and peaked about 2016 before they were sold to a hedge fund who has been cutting corners ever since. Have you seen the new models released since the takeover? They are all significantly 'cheaper' in every single respect, apart from price, which is £1000 more now.

    • @PeteNice29
      @PeteNice29 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jfinn3575 I think for awhile they needed to jump start revenue, and sadly cost cutting is part of that. But if this piece is any indication, that trend is reversing.

    I believe I mentioned this on an Instagram post of yours in the past but I absolutely LOVE this watch. The whole premier line is incredible to me and I think really gives Breitling a ton of depth in their lineup. And the color is fantastic. Love this watch a lot!

  • @wadebolderman3250
    @wadebolderman3250 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I absolutely agree with everything you said. It doesn’t scream Breitling, therefore it is what Breitling used to be. It is a very understated, refined chrono with an identity all its own. Due in part to the dial color chosen but also the simple dial and subdial layout and a beautiful movement. All of this combined with the wise use of stainless steel throughout and that domed sapphire crystal makes it a winner. If you don’t like this watch, you don’t know watches.

    Strap is on backwards for a very good reason: having the strap tail towards the wearer orients the deployment mechanism the same as you would have on a bracelet. Deployment buckles are really awkward to operate with the strap on the traditional way around. That's why Seiko straps are often on backwards.

    Had this and the Premier B25 Datora on my arm a few days ago. One of the most beautiful watches i have ever seen. The dial is absolutely stunning and as a few people mentioned, in natural light and in real life, it is hard to beat if you like greens

  • @p4ndorA
    @p4ndorA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Pros:
    Dial is beautiful and shines differently. Daylight and artificial light is perfect, low light its a little subdued. I would call the dial colour matcha :)
    Hands and numerals shine sometimes silver gold or black!
    the band shimmers especially in sunlight!
    mine is 0.5 sec too fast fully wound, second day 0,5 sec too late. If i keep track with winding, the time is always perfect to the second!
    Negatives:
    winding hurts!
    chunky boy but ok :)
    plexiglass style is retro and thematically right but i prefer domed crystal
    bad to read in low light conditions.
    i absolutly love this watch :)

  • @captvimes
    @captvimes 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    it is a very beautiful and unique looking watch. If I could justify spending that much on a watch I would own one already. I am not even that much of a fan of a green dial but that shade is just so good with the brown strap. Also to add as it is manual you get unhindered view of the beautiful movement from the back too,

  • @RobinsWatchJourney
    @RobinsWatchJourney 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Love the pistachio but it is priced in the $10k range which is a real stretch for my budget. If I was spending that amount, I might choose two other watches, perhaps an Aqua Terra and a Sinn.

    Great looking piece, I almost love it. Less busy dial then Navitimer, but I think a little bit pricey. Also the numerals did not have to be cut off by chrono subdials if the case was 42 mm or 44 mm

  • @uberbrainbox
    @uberbrainbox ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't like it, I love it.
    To my eye, all other Breitlings look like they're trying a little too hard, whereas this has its very own subtle class. You have to know what you're looking for to spot it, and, pardon the obvious, but it's synonymous between the difference between a Rolls and a Bentley. This is quiet money. This isn't in your face showing off, it's what class is. It doesn't need to brag.

    I have tried this watch on multiple times and I would say it is my favorite Breitling and favorite green dialed watch. I love the use of a manual movement and how it allows for smaller size. A criticism I have heard is the strap seems to clash with the dial in person ( a bit too red) so I would probably change it to a more pure brown in calf with a pinbuckle ( I prefer pinbuckle over clasp...personal).

    Apart from saying this watch 'flies under the radar' which it doesn't, I agree with everything you say about this beautiful piece. The other thing perhaps you could have said is that as Breitling is still climbing back up the credibility/must have ladder, the prices are not firm. This watch can be bought 'new' for a couple of thousand less. I would definitely have one.

    Love the Premier line. I thought about pulling the trigger on this model but went with the Premier B01 Panda instead. That said, that green dial is stunning, what a great looking watch. I’ve never been a Breitling guy but with their rich history and newly subdued designs they’ve started to lure me in. I also like the new Chronomat line as well, the dials look great but I’m not crazy about the bracelets. I’m also not crazy about the new Superocean design at all. Thanks for your take on the watch. I like it's unique color which makes the watch not the best choice as the only chrono in collection or for a single watch wielder. I don't like the watch as a complete package enough to pay such a high price for it - it is Breitling which is well known for it's dropping prices after couple years of ownership so it will be accessible for like 6k on the aftermarket. For my subjective taste the dial is vintage, but the chrono-pushers are modern - square - I would appreciate more classical look of them. At the end I find automatic winding so practical that I'm willing to accept 0.5 mm of thicknes for it.

      First, I enjoy watching your videos with Larry when you two are shopping against each other for watches I like to see what you are both picking out and why, and when that particular video went the two of you came up to the Breitling showcase and you took that primer B09 watch out of it in that pistachio green color. I stopped in my tracks and froze the video and enlarge the picture and was enamored with the color style and just overall appearance of that watch. I love it! I do an all black Navitimer 41mm which I just love and presently have it on while I write this. I’m always looking for something spectacular that catches my eye that makes me want it and seeing that watch it became the next watch I will purchase. That is how much I liked it overall the different watches, I’ve seen. I like it even more after watching your video today. Thank you for your videos Teddy, keep up the good job

    A very nice watch as you say, but for some reason I still lean toward the Navitimer. It just seems to have a little more pop. That's just me.

    Breitling Navitimer Boeing 43mm limited edition 747 is a statement piece

    Like the Grand Seiko Snowflake, once I saw this in person I understood why everyone said photographs can’t adequately convey just how beautiful this watch is.

    I LOVE this watch. I have never had a Breitling, but this one is on my wish list.

    This is the one current Breitling reference I have a strong interest in owning.

    I would also put this at the top of what brightling offer. Love the colour but I would like to see other colour options too.

    You are right on. I’m a Rolex sports watch fan & this has caught my attention. It’s nice to have my scope widened a bit!

    People have gone nuts for this Breitling pistachio dial watch, and I have to agree with them. Currently I don't have a space in my collection for this one though but for those that do should be more than happy. It was good to see a shout out for the Tissot Telemeter and PRX options Teddy as well who do not have the budget. I can definitely vote for the PRX chronograph panda dial but this The Breitling brand definitely deserves another a look these days.

    Just great looking watch. The tone of the green is the best I’ve seen after H. Moser’s dragon green. I am really considering to acquire this piecw. Top video, thanks!😊

    Great vid. I love this watch. THe colour is non traditional but the dial and size is very classy - almost Patekish.
