Maybe it’s more rewarding or interesting to have five watches that are not versatile than to have five watches that are very versatile but maybe like more or less the same.
It’s a bit provocative but I just want to say, play with it. Watches are part of us, our personality, our style.
Personally I enjoy it very much to look in a watch box that is quite that is a bit diverse and suits the owner, even if not every watch is one for every occasion. 😃
Great video Adrian and beautiful watch. Breitling heads into the right direction in my opinion.

@@benb1131 Hi there Ben. Thanks for asking. The other two are the Speedmaster and the new Zenith Chrono Sport , white dial. Normally the Omega would be the choice, but with three Omegas already in my not very large collection, I will likely branch away from Omega on my chrono choice.

    • @jimlittle5769
      @jimlittle5769 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Simon Veasey Certainly a nice plan and I appreciate the advice, but the Tudor Chrono doesn't do it for me. I only plan to add like two, maybe three more watches and then stop buying until 2026 when I buy my last watch. I want to make sure those last two or three are watches I REALLY want. I would be very happy with any of my three chrono choices, so as of now, those are the options. By the time I'm ready to buy (probably a year from now), there may end up being more that appeal, but so far I want to choose between those.

I never hesitate to give your videos a "thumbs up"! This one is no exception. By far the best of the few I have seen so far about this watch. Especially close ups of dial and movement! For me, this dial is absolutely perfect. For some reason, blue dials just have never worked for me. I admire them, sometimes buy them, and talk myself into thinking they will work. For the clothing I wear, this will work perfectly. Size, manual wind, no date. I like that it's a tribute to the previous Premier, but not trying to be a revival. I have the Premier B01 Norton, and I am totally impressed with the Premier models. As far as anything negative: I can't figure out why, on every Premier model, there is lume on the hands only. It does work, I tried it, reading the time in the dark by position of the hands. But why lume the hands at all? Many watches have dials with no lume. Rant over. I do love the direction Breitling is taking now. Just to show how much I love this watch: I gave up my offer of a new Rolex Explorer 1, when my turn came up on the waitlist. Just so I could afford to buy this one! Just patiently awaiting it's arrival. Cheers, Carl

What a gorgeous piece... Coming from someone who has never been a big Breitling fan, at all really, this one really caught my eye last year when it came out...
And now I'm currently looking to buy my first (non-mecha-quartz) Chrono to add to my decently small but very nice collection, and saw this on Joma for something like $6,395 or so which really piqued my interest. I'm also looking at a few pieces from Zenith, and because I'm also planning to buy my first gold piece for a very special occasion 1/2023 I've had my eye on some stuff that's quite a bit more expensive (RG Overseas Chrono, specifically) but I have a feeling when the day comes to drop that kind of coin on a watch I'm much more likely to get something that's not a chrono/fits much more as a near-daily piece to mix in with my steel/titanium pieces. If it proves difficult to get even a simple 3-hand VC Overseas in RG for a decent price, I've always had a thing for RG Day-Dates... Though I hate a cyclops on my crystal personally, it's the one watch I would purchase with one.
Blah blah so back to this Breitling... Came by to ask if anybody has one/has had one for a good while now...? If so, what are your thoughts on the watch for that price after owning it for a decent while? Would love input from anybody who has extended experience.

Love the review as always but I’m still chuckling with the whispering about the order of releasing straps and watch rolls!!! Remember, happy wife, happy life! Ps, I think you’re right! Sorry Mrs Adrian.

I was an RAF kid, though slightly earlier, my dad, a Flight Sergeant in WW2 and a watch guy, collector/repairer (mostly Pocket watches) Nevertheless, it allowed for horology to catch my interest at an early age and never left, regardless of the wild path I took earlier in life. Which brings me back to the reason for the comment. I'm in recovery, so the 'syringe' hands, unfortunately, are a no, no for me! 😇 An attractive watch nonetheless, I did say hi at the Grosvenor, so thank you for a sincere and focused hello back! Great channel and as always, a fair and balanced review 👍

First Breitling I would consider. Love the dial colour. Chances are, this isn’t going to be your only watch so the dial colour probably won’t be an issue

The new Premier range is pretty good, the blue Duograph is probably the best of the bunch along with the small seconds automatics. Plenty for chrongraph fans to like here.

I like the way they simplified the SuperOcean. I have a yellow super ocean 44. It is superb.

Couldn't agree more, the new Breitlings are excellent. The Salmon dial Datora, oh my.

Have ordered one. First breitling I've wanted, ever! Is a very good move for breitling in my opinion. Heritage editions. Very cool and deal maker is 100m water resistant. Is main reason why no dress pateks or ALS in my collection.

The Breitling is a beautiful watch. The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda is now difficult to get. I’ve tried. Rolex impossible.
This might be a good reason for Breitling to turn the corner back again.

Ps do I have to pay import taxes if I buy from your shop in Europe now?

That color is stunning. I love that watch exept not having the lume plots but having the lume hands. But boy it is attractive. I use chronograph regularly to brew a coffee and i enjoy using them a lot. This one is totally in line with my style

Not a Breitling fan but I like this one. I wouldn’t buy a watch with AR coating on the outside again but each to their own. It looks a bit thick and the Tudor partnership is better for Tudor than Breitling as Breitling are aiming above Tudor price point wise. This type of content make a nice change from the constant Rolex regurgitation that’s played out constantly on TH-cam.

Concur about the Tudor partnership, no idea what Breitling are thinking corporately and they have defo overpriced this model

Your plan of both straps being launched together was the better choice.

This is my aspirational watch. It is a beautiful thing although £6200 is to steep for me currently but one day it shall be mine.

I like you found Breitling first. I now have five. Four Chronos and a Super Ocean Heritage.42mm. I think they have turned the corner with the last few years releases. But as you pointed out they have to watch they pricing the new Premie line is edging Up there.
Liked your comments on the movement finishing. But I do think it's nice to get both. Great finish and accuracy like I have in my new Bathyscaphe. Which I got for 6000. Pounds and why Breitling has to watch what end of the pool there swimming in.

I believe Breitling is doing good with their heritage and throwback models, recently got myself a blue dial/blue bezel SuperOcean Heritage 38 mm with small seconds to wear on nato straps (the original rubber strap is hedious, and on a metal bracelet I prefer my Rolex DJ), very much satisfied with the looks of it. Thankfully, they started moving avay from bulky complicated looking avenger/chronomat/navitimer stuff to more appealing clean dials. This one I like too, very good color and clean dial. Would consider adding to my collection on few years, when pre-owned market will get saturated enough for good deals to appear eventually.

I remember a very cool TV add of Breitling with a marine and what he would sacrifice. There was everything "sir, yes sir". Except with the Breitling "sir, no sir". Who remembers that add? cant find it anywhere...
