- In this second video we look at the various internal elements of a mid terraced house building survey. Starting in the loft and working our way down through the house we finish up on the services to the property.
Please keep producing these videos - they are great! #student
Really informative and interesting! Thank you for posting. Please continue posting more of these
Very informative video for someone new in the industry, thanks!
An interesting couple of videos. As our ~30 million U.K. homes are retrofitted for compliance with PAS2035 over the next decade or so (ideally by 2030), cold lofts will need to be treated differently. While ventilation is a requirement, draughts must be minimised to prevent thermal bypass of the insulation (except in cases of deep retrofit when an airtight or wind resistant membrane has been installed).
Another really good video, thanks
Brilliant content
Fantastic content. Currently a SAVA student and this video is invaluable. Is this a Level 3 inspection?
How are you finding the studies? I’m looking to start in may 2024
It's a great course. There is a lot to study and understand so it's important to stay on top of coursework but the staff are very supportive and the practical days are truly something to look forward to. That's when all the theory begins to become real. I'm at assessment stage now so my last year approaching. Good luck!@@clearyourmind8249
12:17 could I please ask regarding asbestos. I believe it was banned in the UK in around 1998/99 but that usage declined before this date. Though the only definitive test is to take a sample, would you expect asbestos to potentially be present in artex or building materials in houses dating back to 1997 built by large developers?
Hi, thank you for your comment. Amosite and Crocidolite were banned in 1985 and chrysotile was banned in 1999, so anything pre 2000 should be tested for asbestos content.
