I love this scene, they should have kept it, i love how there are pictures of Sidney's mom and Kirby is so funny, i was hoping that in the movie there will be a scene in which Sidney talks with Kate (Jill's mom) about Maureen like what she was like when they were younger or something anyway i think this scene and the scene at the fountain should definitely stayed in the movie.

As much as I like all things Kirby, and am frustrated that Kate's role literally got left on the cutting room floor, I understand why they cut this scene. Kirby says, "My parents are gone for the weekend, and there's no way I'm staying by myself. Chinese!" Only problem with that: Most of the characters are in school the next day, as indicated in the Cinema Club scene. Do they have school on Saturdays in Woodsboro? lol
You could say as this is Thursday night that Kirby's parents had just left, and Kirby is including Friday as part of the weekend (which some people do).
the cinema club meeting seems to be on a saturday as there’s another deleted scene where kirby talks to robbie and charlie after the meeting and are seen wandering in the school halls where it seems pretty deserted. now it could be after school on a friday where most kids are gone by then but also could be a emergency meeting on said saturday since sidney “the star” and gale were guests and they’re both celebrities

@@EmmaRobertsStan Yeah I got the french bluray (I think that one was the first to release so I had to get it) and someone had already said Dewey's Test wasn't on there somehow. So I basically ordered every dvd I could find to see if it was on there and there was only 1 release that had it... and that was the Spanish one so eventually I got the Spanish bluray too and it was on there in HD. The US deleted scenes were all 480p. There are still many deleted scenes missing from 4 but at least we got these.
