Hi I have got a new 60v electric scooter battery the battery is fully charged when I drive the scooter and go full thottle on it it cuts the scooter completely off and I need to reset it to restart but it keeps cutting off do you think this is a bms problem or a controller problem? Any help is very much appreciated.

Might help if you stated what e-scooter you have?....or...did you build it with parts you believed were compatible? Yes of course, quite possible if you have the controller set to maximum amp draw...if it has any measure of programmability and the BMS max amp limit is less than what the controller and motor are drawing at max throttle, then yes the BMS could cut out to save the battery cells. No different than the BMS shutting the battery off when cell output is too low which exceeds demand from the controller and motor. But there is more. The battery cells themself have a maximum discharge rate. If cheap cells are in the battery, they can't tolerate as big a current draw. In summary the battery and controller have to match. The motor is just a big resistor. The controller is the gatekeeper and the BMS protects the battery from excess current draw.
