Great video, you are very honest, recalling your batteries to fix them for customers.

Pretty cool explanation of what went wrong! And very odd mystery still..

Is there a way to bypass the display there was a video where someone shorted the blue wire with another on another brand.

What is the simplest way to open the case ? Being it’s glued

Hi, thank you very much for this great video. I'm just having also some surprises opening my transx BL03 box. I just discovered those 2 green and white wires that I don't know what to do with.
And also: for the charger I just see 5 different pins: red and black of course + the blue one... And also 2 oranges ones. Any idea what this is?
Also question for the battery doctor: if I just accept that the display don't give me the level of battery can I leave with that and just forget about the extra wires without risking to damage my battery?
thanks a lot for your feedback!

I just bought a Union Swifty to practise on and there the BMS doesn't work but the battery LiPO is good how can I bypass the communication to the display it won't light up.

Never seen those, but TranzX BL01 but seem similar to the BL03 in this video. As you see i could not figure this out, it has not to do with the voltage but is most likelly uart communication.

@@xwatchid Did you manage to find anything about Tanzx batteries? I want to fix it too, but I can't find any information.

hardest part is explaining to the customer why their indicator doesnt work even tho it can run with no problems, they usually think we are trying to scam them. We also started installing small cheap 20%/40%/60%/80%/100% indicators on to packs lately but never tried messing with those pins, seamed like a lot of wasted time especially with the amount of tranzx bms-s that come in not even working at all.

Are you serious? connecting 26V to I2C data and clock lines? And then you are surprised that your last cell which is not connected to these lines after your mod is not draining?
Ok, to bring some light into world: those two pins you are referring to are I2C bus. control display is reading from battery mileage from eeprom and real time clock (there is also battery backup on pcb in batt pack) . When you take scope you can see data and clock signal on these two pins. Just 5V (or 3.3V) pullup should be applied to bus, and mostly is done by display. When display is showing blinking battery then it means it cannot read data from battery gauge IC in batt pack.
Above is describet 24V BL03 tranz-x battery pack.

@@vladimirdjurdjulov4982 @Istvan Otvos I cannot give you simple answer like shake it two times and it will start working. Anyway, In my case there was problem on I2C CLK trace . At PCB are many VIAs which are routing trace from one side of PCB to another, one of these vias was damaged/was not conductive. After tracing this signal from battery connector to BQ battery management chip I was able to find VIA which is not conducting. Just jumper it with wire and all is fine.
As first test take oscilloscope , connect battery to bike and measure SCL and SDA signals, in standby there should be logic high (3,3 or 5V) and signals are pulling it low. if there is nothing like that, put external pullup resistor to IC vbus at battery and trace SCL/SDA signals to see where they are interrupted on PCB.
Of course, there are many other things which can go wrong, but PCB vias are most problematic on these batteries because of bad PCB processing.

@@jiriotisk1925 Hi Jiri, Is this also the case when I have replaced old lipo batteries with new lion batteries. One of my client is complaining about one block missing on the battery display, while on the battery pack it is showing that the battery is full. Also because of this, the bicycle runs out of power (I guess).
      Can you guide me?
