@@ChocolateKieran they’re more like fatalities. If you end the match using certain moves or grabs, it triggers them.
Geras' second fatality is a time loop. He grabs your head from 5 seconds in the future and beats you with it! Then Geras from 5 seconds ago reaches through time and rips off your head.
Dont forget about geras ripping your head off
It's not a time loop. It's basic time travel.

Liu Kang’s Black Hole Fatality brings more chills than Sub-Zero ever could. The grandeur, the lack of sound in the vacuum of space, how relaxed Liu was when he caused made a black hole appear.
Liu Kang as a God is the coolest thing Netherrealm has done
"How did he kick his skeleton out of his body?" That one with scorpion actually makes much more sense than other fatalities where the skeleton pops out. One of his clones charred the flesh into ash around the skeleton so it was popping out like that.
That also combined with the weight of the axe in his skull

Shujinko is probably my favorite. Aside from being a Kill Bill Volume 2 reference (5-Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique), it really epitomizes the ancient master esoteric killing move idea, where they just seem to know exactly where the pressure points are to kill a person with minimal effort. Kinda reminiscent of Fist of the North Star in that regard.
I think it also makes sense for him to have a reference fatality since his thing is being able to copy other techniques, thus why he is copying something from a movie.
The secondary fatalities hit you harder the first ones because they weren't done in reptile, so the blood in all of those was red and more gruesome

The time loop one is definitely one of the coolest ideas! Beating you up with yourself, infinitely!
I think Mileena's 2nd fatality with the neck being broken is like that due to her and Baraka having non tarkat infected skins that we'll get some time later

this fatality is pretty sick because u are being fatalitied by all the canonically existing scorpions, the fire skulgosth one from the first mortal kombats, the axe wielder form the 3d era, human hanzo from mk 11 and the new mk1 scorpion ( who used to be the second subzero in past timeline)
Some of the first ones were cool, but these ones are more my style overall and I like how brutal some are!
Hands down, Liu Kang's Black Hole fatality is the best one in Mortal Kombat history!

the second fatalities are definitely more what I wanted when it came to fatalities, I think the two best ones, how "brutal" they are, have to be reiko's

Each character does have 2 fatalities but in this game you have to reach a character's mastery skill to lv 14 to learn the button inputs for their second fatalities, you can also just look them online and it'll still work if you want to skip the grind for that. There are "secrete fatalities" called Brutalities that each character can unlock, those are done before the announcer says "Finish Him/Her" and it requires a specific move/attack with a specific requirement, the easiest and universal Brutality is the uppercut where you have to defeat your opponent with an uppercut while you hold the triangle/Y button (the opponent can't be airborne, they must be standing on the ground). Currently each character has 5 brutalities you can unlock excluding the uppercut and its assumed that there will be more in the future, they are more sought out since it can be the finishing touch to a really impressive combo. The kameo fatalities, on the other hand, are references to their classic fatalities from previous games, I think this was mentioned before. The only few that aren't classic fatalities are Motaro, Shujinko, and Sareena, their fatalities are references to other sources (Shujinko from Kill Bill, Sareena references Scorpion's MK X fatality, and I think Motaro's references the giant bug monster from Earth Defense Force).
The last one was from kill Bill 2 it's called 5 finger heart disintegration technique

not everything is a referendum obviously but I personally enjoy pointing out similarities, because it’s fun and lets me connect with people who like similar things. it’s not that deep

I don't play MK at all, but I always assumed that they were just referred to as Fatality 1 and Fatality 2

Well, they are not secret, they are just unlockable secondary fatalities that you can unlock by playing the game. Same thing was since MK9. Well, at least I don't consider them as secret.
Yeah they’re literally called secret/hidden fatalities, since you have to unlock them and the game doesn’t straight up tell you about them otherwise.
@@ChocolateKieran They can be called whatever devs wanted them to be called. But since I'm the one of those players who still prefers classic MK games, I don't consider them as secret because, back in the days all of the characters has their finishing moves with them, and you just had to know the input combination to activate them. Like, in UMK3 every character had 2 fatalities, 1 babality, friendship and animality. And in MK Trilogy they added Brutalities. The same with this new MK1. Both fatalities 1 and 2 are there. You just have to know the combination for their activation. Thus why I don't consider them as secret. And in my understanding, secret means that, you have to find it by beating some challenges and stuff like that, and only then you will be able to unlock it and use it. But since it is not the case, and you can activate them in any time you want, if you know input for them, I don't consider them as secret fatalities. But again, this is just me. This is how I see them.

Do you skip the intro or something? This is literally my first MK game. This whole journey in this video series has been me converting from a Street Fighter fan INTO an MK one. You missed the WHOLE point LOL. Also at this point I'm a fan of both so I don't see what your problem is.
