Prepare to have every massage gun manufacturer on the planet contacting you 😂 Good one Des! Cool to see you expanding your topics! I really like my slant board as a recovery tool to relive Achilles/calf tightness!
I haven't seen you do sponsored content. Yummm coffee. I agree foam rollers. I have the same ones. I also have some Normatec knock offs called Air Relax. Great video. Lots of recovery tools.
Thanks Matt! I’ve held off on sponsors because I didn’t want to muddy the waters, but a few sponsors have come my way lately that are a good fit. Coffee!!! I’ll have to give those Air Relax sleeves a look. Thanks again!
@@DesFit - Hell yeah, a coffee sponsor is perfect. I've had discussions with Dave and a few others about sponsorship opportunities and I think it's tricky for a channel that's reviewing a lot of different gear. I follow a lot of photography channels and they all seem to jump all over every sponsorship option. I'm not saying that it's a good model but it seems different than what you and Ray are doing. Good news for me is that I don't have to worry about it for a while. 👌
I’ve modeled my ethics from Ray as I just think that’s the best way to do things in this space. I’ll entertain sponsored content from companies unrelated to sports tech but crossing the line for a sports tech company isn’t something I’m comfortable with. I’m sure you’ll have some opportunities soon!
@@DesFit - Yeah, I have a huge amount of respect for the way that Ray does things. He sets the bar high. And yeah, I plan on taking tons of money from cheap knock off sports tech companies from overseas. We'll sell this junk to all the suckers. I'm going to make a killing. 😂
@@mlegrand Thanks guys - appreciate the comments! But yes, I agree, a coffee sponsor is brilliant. I'm also in the market for ice cream, donut, and cookie sponsors. Due to existing contractual obligations, I'm unable to take cake and cupcake sponsors however.
A great video like always. Love seeing your reviews expand to new and interesting topics. Also, great to see you get sponsored, you definitely deserved it especially after all the hard work you put into your videos.
I love my hypervolt. I didn’t know they had a cool BT version now. My first Hyperice product I ever bought was my vibrating foam roller. Isn’t Hoka One One - pronounced Hoka Onay Onay? 😊 I have the Oofa versions and they’re great and last forever.
Hey Des this was a great video!! It really was informative and helpful to learn more about fitness recovery especially since I started taking this fitness lifestyle much more seriously! Thank you !
I use the flowsports pro and mini massage guns in my physical therapy business. The mini is a scaled down version. It’s a bit bigger than the theragun but way easier to hold and use. The flow guns are very powerful but also have a wave setting which clinches it for me
Wow I had no idea the massage gun did all of that! I have the TP small foam roller and I like it, but I wish it had more of the bumpy surface. I also have the TP massage ball which I like to use when my feet are achy. I need to check out those sandals, they look comfy!
Awesome video. I have Malatec massage gun and it's awesome. Also using foam roller and from time to time Normatec (when I'm going to my physiotherapist) ;)
Hey Des, I find lacrosse balls to work very well to release tension in deeper spots a foam roller can’t get to. Cost ya about a dollar at a sporting goods store.
Here are some other suggestions you should really look into or feature as well. - Hypersphere mini hyperice.com/hypersphere-mini - Standard lacrosse ball - HRV elite elitehrv.com/ - Yoga matt - Cryro therapy chamber (can't buy it as a personal item) - Sauna
Nice suggestions Des! You don't take hot Epsom salt baths after long workouts? I usually ice after tennis and then take an Epsom salt bath before going to sleep. Works well for me!
No epsom soaks for me but I’m a very frequent user of the steam room, sauna, and hot tub! I’ll ice after some grueling workouts as well. Glad the soaks work for you! Thanks John!
I love to use the Rolflex, its what I call my 'secret sauce'. It allows you to get a deep tissue massage in your arms and legs without having to go to a massage therapist or a physical therapist. One of those true "its so simple how did I not think of this" type of products.
@@DesFit Oh, another thing... I just got this like two days ago from the local running store... Roll Recovery. It's quite the game changer. It hurts a little bit, but it's way more convenient than foam rolling. I just sit here and watch the 'Tubes and roll away.
What about those infrared saunas, they look like a sleeping bag. The benefits of saunas are well known, so thought you might have tried them, unless you have easy access to saunas otherwise :p
I have access to traditional saunas which I prefer. I haven’t necessarily felt the same benefits from infrared but I haven’t had a lot of experience with them. I know others have said they experience some benefits.
DesFit, you missed one - our all-new, award-winning REGEN compression system with patent-pending tech for unrivaled control and customization! With complete Chamber Control, App control with Saved Programs, Rapid Deflate (yes, it sucks the air out when you're done), Cycle Speed Control, Chamber Hold Control, multiple modes, 3-4 hrs of battery life, 6" HD touch screen, 0-200 mmHg compression range with 20 levels, and more, it makes everything else look like, well, normal tech.
I've seen athletes use ice baths and sports massages, cryotherapy and oxygen chambers but apart from ice baths the rest are probably too expensive for the regular person.

Even without this video I get at least one a day! Thanks for the suggestion of the slant board! 👍
Glad to see I'm not the only one who finds an e-mail a day from these companies... 😂
I really like this topic. It isn't discussed as much as it should. Keep it up!
That’s great! Glad you’re into this sort of info 👍 Thanks!
I can speak on the Theragun. I purchased one for my son. He's a CrossFit guy! He absolutely loves it!
Nice!!
Useful video thanks Des. Foam roller making a big difference already. The cheapest bit of kit I didn’t know I needed!

Thanks Ethan! This was a much easier video to do in terms of testing as well - mainly just sitting back and relaxing 😉
Foam rollers are the best thing ever! If you workout it is a must!
Definitely!

Dang it, forgot about the massage balls but thanks for mentioning them! Thanks!
Certainly would have added the Compex electro stimulation devices into the mix, again easy to use small enough to travel with and really effective.

I’ve been turning to compression sleeves for my knees post workout. Seems to help me at least.
Nice! Glad they seem to help 👍

Have you reviewed compex 1.0?
Hey, could you please do a workout & fitness review for the Oneplus Watch? Thanks!

We need an updated one
This video is still pretty valid but yup, working on an update for this year!
I'm a big fan of PowerDot.
Nice! I’ve been meaning to try one of those. Thanks!

Oh ya! That R8 is amazing. My friend has one that I’ve tried out and that thing is good, really good.
The hollow foam rollers are superior
👍
Would be cool to switch it up with this type of content once in a while.

how about water bottles? I need a video

If money isn't a factor then a cryotherapy gun can make this list.
this is a good video, want to be youtube friends?
