P Northug attacked from 6th place into first place, in that final, on the big climb. Which is even more impressive than from 5th place as the commentators thought. At 1:49:46 Northug is in 6th place, and Harvey in 5th at the base of that climb. And they finished 1 and 2. Just amazing. Falun is my favorite sprint venue to watch.

The Norwegians really nailed their medications for this. Northug and Hattestad were in the second semifinal, and it was a faster heat. They had less time to recover, yet they still got medals. Their heats were consistently the fastest during the whole day, yet they got better and better as the day went on.
Northug was the best to push himself when he was tired. Just look at How tired he is after crossing the finish line. If anyone used medications it was the russians, though not likely concidering their performance during the wc, compared to the olympics 1 year earlier where they was caught using systematic doping.
