This is when it all changed for Elena. In my opinion, it was just never the same after that. Stefan, humanity or not, pushed her too far. While she and Damon had grown closer since last season, she did everything she could to save Stefan. But after everything, he did this to her.
I feel so bad for Elena, she had survivors guilt going over that bridge where her parents died, and Stefan force feeding her blood to get back at klaus was so messed up. I feel so bad for Elena, she always gets traumatized. I can't even imagine the pain she must have been feeling at that moment.

Stefan said he lost her the minute he left town with Klaus…in a way, he knew Elena developed feelings for Damon already which is part of the reason why he’s so fixated on taking down klaus (ie that’s all he has left). It’s really quite sad.
This is one of my favorite episodes because of Caroline‘s birthday. For my friends and I life stopped too at 16/17 because of the pandemic. No one could really move on. We all turned 18 in lockdown without a celebration. We live in Germany, 18 was supposed to be the age you start adulthood with. The only difference is Caroline is stuck in her teenage years and we got robbed of them. A metaphorical funeral is a nice sentiment

And “Ride your Wave” And it’s about coping with life after tragedy. Whether or not it’s posted online I don’t care but I think you all would really enjoy those movies. :)

There's one thing that only those who have read the books remember is that sharing blood between vampires is considered very intimate, so every scene with vampires drinking another vampire's blood directly from the vein makes me uncomfortable. In the books, the human Elena does something similar with salvatores giving them blood while also drinking their blood.

He lets ppl believe that he’s so out of touch that he kills his own family but what he really did was put them to sleep and kept them close to him so that he could set them free after Mikael was dead & he created his hybrid empire. It’s psychotic for sure but he would never kill his family. He couldn’t even kill Stefan. Or even Caroline lol. Once he cares for you, he cares. He shows it weirdly & is unapologetic to it. It’s probably why Elijah & Rebekah gives him continuous chances.
