It's actually the reason I got into reviews... realized I needed smaller mice than many others, so clearly mouse size and hand size matter. Was just saying the other day that with so many mouse reviewers now, we could cover a huge range of hand sizes and recommendations as a community, so yeah I hope they start doing it too. My estimates are basically just what I like but scaled up and down based on my hand size, then getting feedback from others.
@@RocketJumpNinja They never seem to do sadly, coming with huge hands 22x19.5 cm it's hard to find a mouse that fits comfortably in my hands as really small mice tend to cramp up. I am glad you are back into mice reviews again, thanks for the hard work!
The razer gen 3 optical switches feel and sound the best of all mice atm they’re best in class and I’ll die on that hill and no that’s not a matter of taste you can even hear it directly in your video. Besides that I’m glad you are back.
I got this used for $140 CAD in perfect condition since it was only used for a month. I have a 18x9.5 hand size with palm and relaxed claw grip (I switch grips unconsciously) and have been enjoying it so far. Though I wished the left and right click button height curves down slightly lower
This is the best mouse I've ever used hands down. Sensor, buttons, shape and weight aside, which are nearly perfect, it's the coating on the white model. My God this thing feels so good in the hand lol
After my Viper V2 Pro is the third Razer Viper in two years with malfunctioning scroll wheel, I skipped the bulky V3 and went with the Zowie U2. This gives me comfort grip for my thumb like the Viper V2 and an excellent scroll wheel. Also lightweight and no ugly extra software needed.
Love all your content, glad to see you doing stuff still. I loved my Viper V2, but it broke very quickly. Just like my Razer headset, and previous 2 Razer mice... I really like the ergonomics, but just wary of Razer products now
Good review as always but I still can't get why a lot of people are obsessed with having a wireless mouse. After all it always sits on your desk and it doesn't matter if it has a cable or not. But when you go wireless you either need to charge it or replace batteries depending on what you bought. While on the other hand you plug in a wired mouse and forget about it. It just works whenever you need it. More reputable brands have great braided cables thay you never feel basically. Also wired mice tend to be lighter because they don't have batteries in them which is a big plus.
I dont know, I should love this mouse, but I actually went back to my Endgamegear xm2we almost instantly, the viper v3 felt too large for me, so I felt like I couldnt control my aim quite as well as with a smaller mouse. I loved the clicks of the v3 though, but if I cant control my aim, its not worth it in my opinion, atleast for myself.
Interesting. My analysis of the shape is not far from what you've said in this review, but I'm leaning more towards saying that this is a "G pro X'ified" Viper, in other words, a Viper without the huge flairs, and playing it safe. The moment you mentioned the thing with the scroll wheel, I immediately took my G Pro X, and was like: "This is exactly how the G Pro X has its scroll wheel". I can definitely see the Viper mini comparison though.
Yeah weird thing about the G Pro X wheel is that it feels well placed for where my fingers sit, but the Viper V3's doesn't, despite both being an index finger back or so. That's probably something to do with the hump being in the middle on the G Pro X though. Viper V3 also has smaller dimensions than the V2, but feels bigger due to that hump size. It's not quite as simple as I originally thought.
Ive been loving the gwolves HTX despite me having big hands. I fingertip grip the mouse and the fact its under 40g really helps with micro adjustments. That veing said this viper v3 really has my interest and i hope to find it on sale eventually. I play games with my mice on 2k hz polling rate as ive tested 4k and 8k and dont see a huge improvement.
And again no side buttons for lefthanded. Last good left handed mouses are Viper, OG Superlight (I don't like it) and modern one that his one Pulsar X2A. I purchased Pulsar X2A to try it out and replace my 4th Viper Ultimate, and ofc to support company who still cares about left handed players. Razer back in the days even had freaking deathadder left handed edition. I spam razer instagram about it but no luck yet. Anyway Viper V3 Pro top tier mouse and Razer seems to know what their doing, for sure they are doing better than Steelseries and even Logitech.
Yeah real annoying I'm personally not buying a new viper because I'd have to switch my whole input layout, I assume it's a somewhat inconvenient way to make them lighter. Is the Pulsar X2a good?
@@jayhobspeedruns Havn't received it yet but internet says it's good mouse. @@jayhobspeedruns Got it and I gotta say that it is really good. Not ten times better than viper ultimate (which is still good mouse) but certainly better. Quality is ok and the weight does big difference. Mouse skates seem better too. side buttons are in similar position like on viper so you can adapt easily. Shapewise it has more hump and feels something between Razer Abyssus and Viper for me. I got medium size and it's slighty smaller than Viper ult. So more of a claw grip, palm grip better on viper ult for me. Finish is more glossy and no rubber grip, but wasn't big of a problem for me. Only problem i noticed is that when you tilt the mouse it scrapes mousepad, viper doesn't do that.
Hey man I just came by to quickly thank you. I've been looking for a wireless mouse with a shape similar to the Mad Catz R.A.T. mice I've been using for the past 7 years. After searching for a long long time I finally came across your Xtrfy MZ1 Wireless and its general profile from back to front is literally identical! Its perfect!
One question tho. It might be a bit of a sin, so I'm sorry for asking, but because the back is easily replaceable, would it be an option to add a new back with the same shape but completely solid? The mouse is perfect but I'm hypersensitive to imperfections (I absolutely hate the thicker bit of fabric in socks near the toes) so I cant actually take mouse where I have to grab the holes.
Glad you like the mouse! As for no holes... you can print a new back if you're capable, the 3D file is on the Xtrfy website. But otherwise, we just have to hope they make a version 2 with their modern mouse styling. Still no word on that, unfortunately.

I bought the og Viper Ultimate in large part because of your review and have enjoyed it all these years. Have been curious what your thoughts are on this. I really love the charging dock though which makes me hesitant to consider changing mice
Unless you're going pro or are super competitive to the point you want to win at all costs... then it's not actually worth upgrading then. Besides, you could probably just get a faster pad and make it feel like the mouse is lighter than it is anyway, because weight is the only important upgrade here, imo. That's part of why I lost interest, these mice aren't THAT different to warrant getting excited about. Same old, same old. Mice have been great for years.
@@RocketJumpNinja Thanks! I appreciate your insight as always. While I am sometimes a good amount competitive I am pretty happy with what I have. Might look into pads some more.
