I agree, that this lens opens new horizons for mobile videograps in their creativity and can add to videos more dramatic shots and views.
Yes, i'm using Chinese analog of Sirui lenses - set of Pholes lenses, which consists of 4 items - "fisheye* 7.5 mm equal lens (238° diagonal), 16 mm wide lens, 25 mm (10x macro) and 65 mm (2x tele lens)

Great video with the side by side comparison , I researched a lot of videos and few presented side by side. Well done. I want to purchase one telephoto for my football games but I don’t want to overkill being so close that I miss the action. But now I have a better idea of what to expect. Thanks again. Dang I was hoping for decent results. I couldn’t use those images or footage. Very soft. I love their other lenses. Way better value than competitors. I’ll have to wait for gen 2 on this one

Interesting product that I wasn't aware of. Although I think the images could be sharper, I know from experience with other long lens that atmospheric conditions such as smog, pollen, and rising heat from pavement have a significant effect on quality of such long distance shots. I agree that the lens is better suited for shorter distances. Since I have other cameras with long lens, I likely won't be buying it. Thank you for a good review.

Late comer to the Sirui series. Haven't seen this specific lens available at all online new or used in late 2021 further into 2022. Discontinued likely. I think this would work best fitted to the Moment phone cases so that it's aligned correctly. Although the sheer weight of this may break their mounts. The quality is decent from what you captured. Just not up to par as I agree with previous commentors, hope to see a revision.

Thank you for this video! But this would affect my buying decision : is the mount going to scratch my iphone lens? And if so, what iphone case would be good to prevent that?
So far I haven’t seen any scratches but the mount doesn’t leave any room for cases. Maybe a super thin peel case but the lens has to be flush with the camera.

I wanted to know 2 things.. I have the Smallrig iPhone 12 Pro Max cage. That says it accepts the sirui lenses. Will it work? 2 I see that the lense comes appart into a smaller lense. What is the size of the smaller lens?

So, here we are three years later with much better smartphone cameras. We now need lenses that can cover the larger sensors, some of which are now out, and are sharper to meet the higher rez of these new sensors. It’s really becoming serious, with Apple Pro RAW and the various Video ProRez codecs with log and luts.

Not so good for 150$. Sirui should improve sharpness and lessen chromatic aberations of this lens.

I understand that $150 is not a lot of money today, however, for some it is. Insetad of buying something cheap with has trash value at home, I would invest into something more useable and that retains vaule.

Years ago i used to press my s6 camera up against my telescope eye lens and take pics of the moon, worked quite well. Same thing they've done with this product, just a way more compact scope and properly sized lens for the camera to interface with.

I wonder how something like this performs with astrophotography… I take pictures of the moon with my 12 mini but I have to hold binoculars in front of the lens and it’s annoying/terrible. Would also like to try photographing nebulas with this

It would be a definite level up for sure. You arent going to get 400mm camera sharpness but you are going to get a lot more range w decent detail. Im a photographer. I use a canon w a 75-300mm lens for moon shots and I can get some pretty damn close up shots for that lens. I can get detail in craters. I see valleys leading out of the craters. Im waiting for a harvest moon.

I spent $50 on the Apexel 36x lens, and you get your monies worth. Cranking the definition, and a little sharpness, makes it acceptable. $150 for similar quality isn’t worth it.

I would have loved, if you had shown something closer, where you zoom in essentially. The shots that you showed in the video are just soft and bad IMO. I couldn't really imagine using them beside normal shots, taken on the same device, as the quality is so drastically worse. The softness, the color casting, the chromatic aberration, is a deal breaker, I don't see why anyone would pay $150 for this. Also I'd really worry about that mount scratching my phone lens.

Another good video. 400 is little too much for me. I think 200 would be better at least for me. Plus I prefer the Len screw in to a case so it’s align better. 400 is kinda hard to use in the city. You can use 200 more in the city. Can you adjust to 200 or 300? Does it 400 out of the box?

I love that Lens but it's too huge compare to mobile. so while walking i have to always detach that lens and keeping attach with mobile look weird. I want lens which will remain attach with mobile and I can take quick shot or video while walking
