    Some of the best boots I played in over my career weren’t Nike or Adidas. Don’t get me wrong I played the majority of my years in a pair of Tiempos, but Lotto, Diadora, Kelme made great boots back in the day. I know things have changed in the modern world and kids are obsessed with what’s “cool”, but being cool used to mean being different.

    I don’t even play soccer anymore, but I gotta bring this up; Underfoot cushioning is the most important thing when comes to comfort if you play on ag/turf or firm fields. I played college soccer in southern CA and can tell you that after two weeks during the season my insoles would be flattened and it would be like running directly on the hard outsole. Most brands don’t design with this in mind, trying to shave weight with cheap foam inserts. Custom replacement insoles rarely fit the shoe right so that’s not really an option. I know players just deal with this and don’t really think about it, but when UA came out with their charged foam insoles, the comfort was so good it actually improved my distance covered in game. The same problem eventually surfaced as the insole got pounded down, but they did last a bit longer than crap adidas insoles. Bottom line is there’s definitely a business opportunity for replacement insoles specifically for soccer cleats

    • @Tidjoz
      @Tidjoz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree mate! Any good insoles you'd recommend here? I'm fed up of having sore feet (front part only though) for 2 days after I trained/played. Cheers

    Mizuno knocking it out the park again. I've always been more into comfort than anything. If I'm not focussing on what's on my feet, I perform better, so squeezing or stiffness just doesn't help. For me a good pair of boots should disappear so I'm focussing solely on the game. Think I might get some of these

      Like I describe in the video, the leather has been thinned out slightly and just feels more light and airy. The tongue is also softer, the heel liner is suede instead of synthetic leather, the insole is different, amongst other small tweaks. They're not hugely different from past Morelias but definitely feel the most comfortable of any Morelias that I've ever worn. All of the small tweaks are definitely noticeable.

      Wasn't disappointed 😊
      I'm a huge football nerd. I live for stuff like tungsten powders, powerspines, strike zones.. so when this mizuno brand came out with a new "ignitus" boots with mukaiten panels that could help with knuckleshots, i was excited.
      So i got myself a pair of ignitus. Of course my freekicks didn't become ronaldo's overnight, but i realized that for an upper full of gimmicks, that boot is ridiculously comfortable!
      So i started looking deeper into mizunos, ordered myself a pair of classic morelias from japan.
      And it's game over.
      The moment i slipped those boots on, my world crumbles right in front of me. Wtf was I'm doing with all those gimmicky football boots when something this amazing exists?!?!
      I still buy interesting current boots like the new preds. But mostly just for the sake of having them. From the moment i play in those morelias, i just can't ever go back.
      Oh, and you're drunk, josh. These boots doesn't have breaking in time. Just slip them on and go crazy.

      @soyUsernameWasTaken 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@miloumm4635 oh man, I'm the kind of guy who just have to wear a boots before buying them. So idk if i could be much of a help...
      mizuno have this japan centimeter measuring where you can actually use a ruler to measure the longest point on your feet. It's explained somewhere on their japan site (i just auto-translate using google chrome). Most of the time it should be true to that sizing.
      If you like your boots real tight, yeah probably go half size smaller than your regular size especially for the morelias.
      If you don't demand total lockdown, they're pretty forgiving.
      PS: my mizuno and adidas size is actually the same. But it could be just the shape of my foot, please take the info with a grain of salt.

      Hey bro. From a comfort standpoint, this Mizuno Morelia Zero or any Morelia II MIJ is SIGNIFICANTLY superior to ANY Nike Tiempo legend 1 to 8. I have tried boots from Nike, Adidas, Puma, Lotto, Umbro, Diadora and they all pale in comparison. Let's just say that after a game or training session, I will immediately take off my boots to relax myself. But with the Mizunos, I forget I am wearing football boots and I am never in a hurry to take them off. Feels like leather slippers, really.

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That hasn't been my experience. I suppose you could buy them extra tight and they will stretch, but I don't think you need to do that.

      I have some mij morelias and I think its worth going half a size down. Tiempos in a 10 are super tight for me, but mizunos are slightly roomier and will stretch more

    • @noetorres4598
      @noetorres4598 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      stretch will depend on the shape of your foot and how much you use these shoes, after heavy use mostly for game days the shoes will get a little wide after a few months. No brake in time needed, as Josh says make sure you get the correct size, I have morelia MIJs.
